Article 14 is only for INDIAN citizens not for other countries.
Nope Article 14 says : "The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India.". It says 'person' and therefore it is not only for citizens of India. Where as Article 15 is for only citizens of India.
And he is talking about making people Indian citizen.

You stand is only against NRC, not CAB+NRC. CAB is a concern only for NE, not for muslims. NRC is for all illegal immigrants who are not registered irrespective of their faith including hindus. CAB is a pending case of 1947 while NRC is a pending case of 1971. If during NRC a Hindu is found to be an illegal immigrant he will not be given citizenship based on CAB but he can apply for fresh citizenship under citizenship act 1955, which is same for any Muslim applying for citizenship under the threat of persecution. More than 600 Muslims have been given citizenship during last 5 years under citizenship act 1955.
The question about how the NRC will be perfect- Everyone's name in your family is written chronologically in electoral rolls since 1951, who is whose son or whose wife, everything is already there. You just need your identification proof and it will be over. Just like during Aadhar card electoral roll was used.

I can't reply to your whole diverted topic. The point is 19 lakh out of 3.1 crore is prity less comparison to 40% hike that was observed in number of voters during 1979 Assam election. It's an undeniable fact that there is a large population of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in NE, WB, Sikkim and Odisha. Except WB, all these states want NRC.

Prashant Kadam - I agree completely. Somebody has to do the dirty work to get important jobs done. E.g. Mr Swamy did it for years on Ram Mandir... but that means they can’t be at the front and centre of Government. Shah is in the same category. Gadkari is the one.

His vision would probably add 1% to economic growth year on year... but had he not been the vocal politician, then the steps India has taken in terms of Ram Mandir, Article 370, CAB, Triple Talak and the Uniform Civil Code would all still look like a distant dream, as they did under that other capable Economist, Dr Manmohan Singh

As Indians we have every right to pass a legislation to accept the persecuted; all the more since there are no other nations which are the primary homeland of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. Don't forget that Parsees were given asylum at the peak of persecution in middle east, and Islam erased all traces of them in their original homeland, just the same as its doing to Yazidis and other cultures now.

The basic question to clear the confusion is why Muslims from Islamic country of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are here, if it's not related to religious persecution. This bill doesn't say Muslims from these countries can't apply for Indian citizenship but they can't apply on the basis of religious persecution. If they are here for jobs then Indians is not a Dharmashala. And why not Rohingyas, because it's an issue between Myanmar and Bangladesh. If they would have been Northeastern Indians before partition. Probably India would have accepted them too. And unlike Bangladesh and Pakistan, Myanmar's constitution is secular.
