Unlock New Features in Galaxy’s Edge Droids [Droid Depot App]

- On May The 4th Disney surprised Star Wars fans by dropping a new App for the custom droids at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge called DROID DEPOT. We love our droids, but one thing we don't love is the cheap looking remote that comes with it. Have you always wanted to be able to control our droids with our phone? If so, with the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Droid Depot App, YOU FINALLY CAN! But not only that - this app has DJ R3X spinning the galaxy's hottest tunes & you can make your droid dance to the music! Also, you can play tic-tac-toe against your droid and even customize a new droid and add it to the photo gallery inside the app (which we admit, is pretty underwhelming, but is very cool if you plan to build a droid and haven't yet).

The only issue with app control, as with Sphero, is if the manufacturer ends support for the droids they won't work.
At least with a physical controller it will always be operable for many years

I prefer the actual remote control unit over the apps they have for things like this. The problem with the apps is you have to constantly stare at your phone screen because you can't feel the buttons so you can't watch the droid move around.

My family loves Disney and are having a hard time deciding if we are going to Disneyland or Disney World in September. My son is a big fan of your show and wants to go to Disneyland so that he might see you there. When it comes to character meet & greets, you two are the ones he wants to meet the most. I would normally say disneyland but I think it’s more likely that disney world will be open than Disneyland in September
Ordinary Adventures You think? Disney World has far more international travelers and would be most affected by travel restrictions. Disneyland has more California locals that won’t be impacted by travel bans. I think DL will open first. But we will have to wait and see!

I haven't been able to make it to Galaxy's Edge yet and I want to build a droid. When this app came out I was super excited to prebuild my droid in the app but that part of the app is pretty weak. Im glad the rest of the app is more functional I also hate the look of the standard controllers. Thanks for the great vids!

I have two droids and as far as I can tell you can only use one at a time. If you want to switch to the other droid you have to pair it again. Kind of a pain. It would be nice to be able to switch between the two with a swipe or tap. Otherwise I love it! Thank you for doing this video! I would have never known this app was out there.
