- Exway X1 Pro range test (extra: battery charging time test) // How far will the Exway X1 Pro go? In this video I test this electric longboard at full speed in 3rd gear. We all know the range suffers when you blast it at the fastest possible speed. I wanted to know how far could I go at a reasonably fast speed, aka 3rd gear.
Spoiler, I was impressed. Spoiler (2): it's not as far as Exway claims, but that could be because they do their maximum rage test at a much slower speed with a lighter rider. Also, in 3rd gear I was averaging around 18-19 mph (29-30.5kph). Exway claims 35 kph in 3rd gear but again, it's probably due to my weight (185lbs (84kg)).
As far as electric skateboards go, this one is AWESOME!

Good video. Just got mines. Did an initial impression. J have just been riding around in third gear myself. Really no need to go faster plus it saves battery. 22 miles an hour is good enough in most situations.
How are you liking the board so far? It's pretty epic, isn't it! I agree that 3rd gear is the sweet spot between speed and distance! Have fun and ride safe!
This range test is making me choose a backfire g3 over the pro. Exway is fantastic but battery life and sag suffer with the thin frame

@@its_Matt_B_ thanks buddy love your video. But yeah after owning an exway x1 I know what to expect with battery sag so g3 or g3 plus is winning as my meepo mini compliment. GREAT VIDEO! DO MORE!

It's a ton of fun (and slightly dangerous). 😁
It does have a lot of rolling resistance for a hub motor. My meepo is MUCH easier to push and more fun to push. Exway is fantastic but not enough range on the slim versions for my needs.
WAAY too much resistance to push! It’s a lot of fun with a full battery, but forget about it when it’s dead!

Just wondering if you have any concerns about a battery that powerful combusting and catching fire? I’d like to get one of these but have concerns about that.
Yikes, I haven't really thought about it. Yes, it has crossed my mind but no more than that. I don't leave it charging if i'm not at home but I do charge it when i'm done riding and leave it fully charghed in the house. I'll have to do a little research.
How long have you had this board? Have you ridden the for x1? Looks like Florida, am I right?
I had this board for about 3 weeks before making this range test video. It's my first esk8 so no, I haven't ridden the X1. I was thinking about getting the X1 but the extra range sold me on the Pro. Yes, spot on; it is Florida! 👊🏼
@@its_Matt_B_ awesome, I'm debating between the x1 and the pro. Currently it is a $400 difference between the two so I wanted to see if it is worth it. Do you know the range if you rode in mode 2? The houses looked so FL lol.
hnim backwards Yeah, the houses here are pretty typical!! Idk about the range in mode 2. I’m out of town for a week but if I have a chance to test it, when I’m home I’ll let you know!
You should make it known that it's around 75 minutes using the fast charger, not the standard one that comes with the board. I'm from the UK and can't get hold of a fast charger... Any ideas?
+Cameron Mackenzie ugh! You’re right! I got the fast charger free because I bought ithe board during the Indigogo campaign.
how come you didn't mention anywhere that that's the fast charger and not the normal charging time if you just buy it with the regular charger
I'm sorry, Bryan. That was an oversight. I got the fast-charger when I got the board and didn't even take the regular charger out of the box. I just forgot.
I thought the top speed was at least 40 km per hour?
The top speed is claimed to be 46 kph, but I could never get it that high. Also, the range goes WAY down at top speed!
Did 45.7kph (75kg / 1.81m) : it goes up to 42-43km/h easily. Need space to reach 45-46.
Can you do the same with the riot please ;)

acidkhmer I crashed hard and broke several ribs and got a ton of road rash. The lesson I learned was not to restart the Exway app while moving on the board. When the app restarts, it locks up the wheels. 🙄😂
