Welcome to the Letterman UA-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. These highlights have been artisanally-produced, carefully-curated, and chosen completely at random by an old computer that used to pick numbers for the New York Lotto back in the 90’s. - Розваги
Fun fact: This was Chris’s last appearance as a Late Night writer. He then left the show to work on “Get a Life” with fellow LN writer Adam Resnick.
I loved Get a Life! I think you can watch them on UA-cam
Get a life was great.
I can see a future Cabin Boy in his eyes.
A couple of times per year, without any warning to those around me, I burst out laughing at the recollection of the deadpan detachment of his GAL parents, Gladys and Fred Peterson.
@@gluecement Someday he will be a Cabin Man
Thanks for keeping our streets safe, Chris!
Miss these days and miss these two :(
Chris Elliott always fully committed to the bit.
Whenever I think about Chris Elliot, I always think that his parody of Morton Downey Jr. was my favorite - but then I see these clips that make me second guess it all.
I always looked forward to any of Chris Elliott appearances back at the old show
Always loved Chris’ enthusiastic jogs, on and offstage, second only to his theatrical knees-bent bows.
Chris Elliott is one of the inventive delights Letterman and Company ever unleashed on the masses. He could collaborate (His stuff with Gerard Mulligan is legendary,) lead a skit or sketch with other players, or go one on one with Dave himself.
You should check out the comedy work of his father, Bob Elliot. It was the Bob And Ray Show. Ray Goulding.
I adore Chris Elliott!
Very unique, hilarious sense of humor
Gonna have to try this next time I'm standing in line at the pharmacy or the grocery store.
Out of all of Chris' genius work with Dave, this is one of my faves.
I still call him "our own Chris Elliot!"
Chris's dad was hilarious, too. Do yourself a favor and look up Bob and Ray.
Let’s Stop Robbers! ….. in glitter 😂 noted late night talk show host also appears as “one of the huckleberries on the street”
His bow is the funnest thing ever
Chris Elliott is so darn weird and wacky. It was always hilarious to see what he had up his comedic sleeve. I often got the feeling he actually put Dave a little on edge.
No. He didn't put Dave on edge..you just lack a good sense of humor
@@billbally4419 It sounds like she has a great sense of humor, but probably didn't know that Dave is playing along, pretending to be irritated, but not really irritated.
Chris Elliott is legendary.
"I have a bad ear; I didn't hear what you said."
How do you defend yourself against the hilarity?
Chris was just doing the Lords work 🙏
Brush with Greatness: I once urinated next to Chris Elliott. It was a urination that I will never forget.
That is hilarious 😂Did you cross streams with him? Or sword fight each other, with your yellow light sabers?
That hump Leno never found Chris Elliott type people to work for him. Dave was a genius at spotting comedy excellence.
Dave was the true successor to off-beat Ernie Kovacs, but he had just enough of the midwestern gentleman in him to garner mass appeal. He would have made a great Tonight Show Host. Jay was never a good fit. He's a solid working comedian and does very well in comedy rooms, but his big-budget Tonight Show didn't suit him. Too flashy. Too rehearsed. Too safe. I really like his low-tech car show. It's the perfect platform for him.
Chris!
Simple things you can do. Thanks Chris you genius.
Mocking Curtis Sliwa…always a good thing.
why?
@@scipioafricanus4330 To ridicule fascism ?
LOL !
Ok that’s pretty funny because you know Dave hates to be touched but he allowed it for this one “sketch” or “send em up” or whatever you call it.
Re-watching these moments sheds a bright light on how horrible late night shows are now! This is material no show today can approach.
Chris is a comedy savant.
no one laughed harder or appreciated chris more than dave
who knew chris could shake it like that?
The Dancer. Ive seen that guy
He's very engaging...till he grabs your 6 pac
You don’t think anything of it
Lets stop robbers good to know in the year 2023 when if you live in the golden state of California Gavin for president 😂believe 😢it can happen not😊
This is old. The Huckleberries are even worse now.
