- Here’s your first look, and our first impressions, of the new On Cloudmonster 2, On’s max-cushion daily trainer.
The On Cloudmonster 2 is packed with a new, updated dual-density Helion superfoam for mega bounce and softness. Sandwiched between the dual-density midsole is a new nylon-blend Speedboard shaped for propulsion and a reworked upper provides an improved step-in feel and lockdown fit. Oh, and the upper uses 92% recycled polyester.

It is beautiful ! A question for you about the stability of the shoes :
Is it as stable as the amazing Cloud Eclipse or better them the first Monster?
I got the Cloud Stratus 3 and I find it super comfortable and all, but it is a bit unstable neutral shoes to hold my light overpronation . The speedboard could be a bit less flexible to guarantee more stability. But on the other hand I also got the Cloud Eclipse that, for me is extremely stable with that more rigid speedboard located just bellow the middlesole.
The Cloud Eclipse is very stable! I found no issues with stability in the On Cloudmonster 1 or 2 since it has a pretty wide base and the speedboard like you mentioned.
BITR comes through for fleet feet, love the collaboration! I wasn’t a fan of the original but I wanted to be, was able to try 11/11.5, upper was too big on the 11.5 but the 11 was too short. Just don’t think it fit my foot very well. Would give this one a try though!

How would this compare to the Saucony guide 17?
Those two shoes will differ in that they are in different categories. The Saucony Guide 17 is considered a stability shoe and is a great everyday trainer for those who have flexible arches or overpronate and want a little extra stability. However, the new Guide 17 has added a lot more cushion underfoot than previous models teetering into a "max-cushion" territory similar to the Cloudmonster 2. The On Cloudmonster 2 is a neutral highly cushioned daily trainer. Although it's not considered a stability shoe by any means, its wide platform does lend itself towards some solid inherent stability.

Heavy shoe.. My wife loves ON.. She runs in the Cloudmonster, I can't stand them..
