Why wouldn’t you glue the thread under the bead? I’m thinking that would make fly more durable. A sharp trout tooth could cut the thread, but maybe I’m over thinking it?? Great looking fly, nice channel I’m subbed!
Haven’t spent the time to do it cause I’ve never had the thread rip! The material flows back and does seem to protect it pretty well. However, if you have toothy trout you might as well glue it!

Just bought some of this and same beads I just put the bead up front like a regular bead head any luck like that
That'll work too! Main difference is, the hook won't ride hook point up, and it will flatten out a little more in the water.
