Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoyed this Christmas Tree Skirt DIY tutorial. Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought about this video.
thank you for sharing this! i just bought my very first Christmas tree recently, but everywhere i looked was sold out of skirts. but i think one i can make myself would be way more special than any store bought one 😊
Thank you! This is a beautiful tree skirt, and your tutorial is so easy to understand and follow! (Just like all of your tutorials!) Thank you for your dedication to this sewing community. I would have never learned to sew without the generosity of wonderful instructors like you!
A silly easy way I've found when straightening out curves on the seams from the inside, is tonuse a large popsicle craft stick. I run it around the edges inside, and it's flat enough to push those seats to straighten them. Plus it's wide enough for your hands to control easily. I find it's easier than the pointed corner tool with the rounded edge on the opposite side because it's not as thick.
I'm so happy you did this tutorial. I need a new tree skirt and I don't want to pay the retail price for a new one. I have christmas fabrics from last seasons clearance and I can do it myself now. Thanks for sharing ! 🙂❤
I always thought it would be difficult to make a tree skirt, now seeing this tutorial I’m confident I can do it. Can you suggest a fabric I can use that won’t collect too much dog hair. I was thinking some kind of tight weave? Denim?
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! Love your teaching method. I’m making this for my tree!! Question - do you wash your 100% cotton batting before using?

Cute family.

Hi Sherrill, I just wanted to know if you could show how to cut a tree skirt without the scallops so it would just be round? Thank you.
is the center opening meant for an artificial tree? I'm thinking it's too small for a real tree trunk? love the video! easy to follow
Hi Beth. You can cut a larger hole in the center. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
hugs from pam good video
Hi Pam. Thanks for watching. 😀
How about starting out by telling us what the finished size of the skirt will be??
Does it have to be that big can it be smaller
Hi Leanna. You can cut you circle any size. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
I have started using a "sharpi" to mark sewing. It won't show on the finished project and I can see what I am doing.
❤️👏
What I especially love is that you put how much yards of fabric is needed. You are clear in your instructions
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! Love your teaching method. I’m making this for my tree!! Question - do you wash your 100% cotton batting before using?
It’s nine inches across, not eight?
Pattern is awesome, so easy
Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
