  • About Mukti - MUKTI, a socio-economic development organization, registered with the Government of India Trust Act 64, has been working for Sundarbans people in the Delta region of North and South 24 Parganas, WB, India since 2003, covering 50,000 households, 30,000 SHG women, 3500 children in almost 54 Gram Panchayats for the uplifting of the grassroots who are in penury, social exclusion and myriad discrimination who are extremely vulnerable to climate hazards e.g. strong storms, cyclic cyclone and dreadful disasters resulting in resource dearth, penury, vulnerability and violence.
    About the project - The SAM project promotes sustainable agriculture among rural farmers, aiming to improve food security, productivity, and mitigate negative environmental impacts. It enhances soil fertility and socio-economic development through initiatives like alternative cropping, farming equipment provision, vermicomposting, and grafting. By promoting integrated farming practices, the project maximizes resource efficiency and minimizes waste, emphasizing the cyclical use of produce and excess for long-term sustainability.
    About Video - MUKTI organic farmers are creating their own organic manure using ingredients like eggshells, shrimp powder, and charcoal. Once prepared, the compost is left to mature for 15 days before being applied to plants. This 100% organic compost offers numerous benefits, including nurturing beneficial microbes, promoting plant growth, and preventing and protecting against diseases.
