Die Ouvertüre „Alpine Inspirations“ beschreibt die vielfältige Schönheit der Berge. Man kann sich an-hand der eindrucksvollen Musik eine schöne Wanderung durch die Berglandschaft vorstellen, bei der man die traumhafte Kulisse inspirierend auf sich einwirken lässt. Der junge Tiroler Komponist Martin Scharnagl hat hierfür ein eigenes “Bergmotiv” komponiert, das sich durch die ganze Ouvertüre zieht. Dieses Motiv, bestehend aus vier Sechzehntelnoten und einer Viertelnote, wird gleich zu Beginn von Trompeten, Flügelhörnern und Tenorhörnern in Dur vorgestellt. Der erste Teil stellt den Sonnenaufgang dar, der die noch ruhende Bergwelt in ein wunderschönes, warmes Licht taucht. Man hört die Bäche rauschen und die Vögel beginnen zu zwitschern…die Natur erwacht. Nun beginnt unsere Wanderung auf den Berg, die rhythmische Begleitung im tiefen Blech symbolisiert den zu Beginn noch fröhlichen Auf-stieg. Darüber erklingt ein Thema im Holz und im hohen Blech, das in abgewandelter Form auch das “Bergmotiv” in Dur beinhaltet. Es folgt ein Wechsel des Motivs nach Moll, gespielt von den Trompeten und Flügelhörnern. Die dunklere Tonart steht für den nun immer schwieriger und mühsamer werdenden Anstieg, der zum Teil auch einige Gefahren birgt. Mit filmmusikähnlichen Elementen, z.B. im Schlag-werk, verstärkt Martin Scharnagl hier die ausdrucksstarken musikalischen Bilder. Nachdem der an-spruchsvolle Aufstieg endlich geschafft ist, kehrt mit „Tranquillo“ Ruhe ein. Hier atmen wir zum ersten Mal richtig durch und genießen bei einer Pause den atemberaubenden Ausblick auf das vor uns liegen-de Panorama, dargestellt durch eine einfache lyrische Melodie. Mit der Reprise, als wir uns wieder auf den Abstieg begeben, kehren fast identische Rhythmen und Klänge des Anfangs zurück. Zum Abschluss erklingt erneut das „Bergmotiv“ in Dur. Wir lassen die Wanderung und ihre Eindrücke noch einmal Re-vue passieren, bevor wir schließlich ins Tal zurückkehren.

The overture "Alpine Inspirations" describes the diverse beauty of the mountains. With the help of the impressive music, one can imagine a beautiful hike through the mountain landscape, allowing the dreamlike backdrop to have an inspiring effect on you. The young Tyrolean composer Martin Scharnagl has composed his own "mountain motif" for this, which runs through the entire overture. This motif, consisting of four sixteenth notes and a quarter note, is introduced right at the beginning by trumpets, flugelhorns and tenor horns in a major key. The first part depicts the sunrise, which bathes the still dormant mountain world in a beautiful, warm light. You can hear the rushing streams and the birds begin to chirp...nature awakens. Now our hike up the mountain begins, the rhythmic accompaniment in the low brass symbolizes the cheerful ascent at the beginning. Above this, a theme is heard in the woodwind and high brass, which also contains the "mountain motif" in major in a modified form. This is followed by a change of motif to minor, played by the trumpets and flugelhorns. The darker key stands for the increasingly difficult and arduous ascent, which at times also harbors some dangers. Martin Scharnagl reinforces the expressive musical images here with elements similar to film music, e.g. in the percussion. After the challenging ascent is finally completed, calm returns with "Tranquillo". Here we take a deep breath for the first time and take a break to enjoy the breathtaking view of the panorama before us, represented by a simple lyrical melody. In the reprise, as we make our way back down, almost identical rhythms and sounds from the beginning return. At the end, the "mountain motif" is heard again in a major key. We revisit the hike and its impressions before finally returning to the valley.
