I would like to correct the thumbnail and say: the only people who Inherit Permanent Refugee Victim Status are not the gazans but the palestinians. they have 2 main features for the refugee status they hold , which no other refugees in the world ever held, because there is no reason to have it. the first is the feature to pass refugee status from an ansestor to its children, which makes the ammount of refugees grow infinitly. the second feature is to continue holding a refugee status evven if you already have a citizenship in a country, this feature makes no sense as that would defeat the purpuse of what a refugee status is.
I should also explaine that the only reason people are refugees is only if they are in need to get help survive from when a war happens and they need to leave without their possetions. its not becuase they have no country, its not something that can be passed down to their children bwcause the help should go only to the estiamted value of the possetions they lost, and putting it on the children of anyone who was a refugee just mean (to be fair) that eveyone on earth are refugees. also, palestine isnt a country, so to say that they are refugee from there is stupid , what else that most of them just run from one part of the geografical area palestine to another area.

Made my day to see this. Glad to see Europeans can have half the compassion for us as we do to them. Before the war, Israelis could only worry about Europe's future as their culture is being destroyed by immigrants and in general Israelis just always look to become fans of European countries and visit them, we even learn a bit about your history. After being in Tzahal they would come visit Europe and instead of just having fun as they would also deserve, many volunteered to do the safety service in front of the synagogue and of our community.
And many would really go out of their way to make us feel welcome among them.
Also a lot of Italians who don't have any connection to Israel still stand with you, some even organised pickets when the song October Rain had to be changed.

In 1539, Acehnese Sultanate invaded my ancestors's land when one of our king refused Islam. Aceh faced difficulties during the war then they bought & hired Ottoman weapons & mercenaries to invade us. In 1952 there were ~132 refugee camps in Israel, tents and sheds that housed ~900,000 Jews who fled from lands controlled by Arabs to Israel, these camps were replaced with normal city neighborhoods within few years.

If the title "refugee" was granted in the same sense, today half of the Greek population would be refugees. In fact, I am a refugee myself. My great grandparents fled what is today Izmir, Turkey 100 years ago, together with another 1,5 million Greek Christians, to many different regions of the Greek state. That was only 25 years before the Nakba, so you can't say it's irrelevant. I can't even imagine what the fate of our nation would be today if our entire purpose was to go back to the land that was inhabitted by our ancestors since 600 BC

So growing up in Dubai as an outsider we were always called refugee. My dad went there for work and the Arab people knew that so they separate us from their people. Even though we can mingle and go to the store, parks but there are certain things you cannot do. You cannot own business, property in certain places, the Arab keep the refugee population away from their own people. We were segregated in a sense. We went to refugee school with people like us. The Arab people took in outsider worker for a very specific reason. The word Refugee is a very broad umbrella term and it is hard to distinguish who is a refugee and who is not.
I'm not sure your title for this video is accurate. It's not Gazans who inherit a permanent and transferable refugee status - It's "Palestinians" in general. Through UNRWA and its regulations and modus operandi, the "Palestinian" refugee problem is ever expanded, to a point where they actually grew in size just like a real people, unlike any other group of refugees on planet Earth. What you have now is a group of millions who are the descendants of a group of thousands, whose identity is based on a lie the sole purpose of which is the annihilation of Israel, and not a real, genuine, collective self-definition. Watch any of Einat Wilf's presentations about UNRWA to understand.

I think oren on travelling Israel channel made this point. If I remember he said that the original refugees were those that fled during the Arab Israeli war. But as it makes money their children and their children have inherited that title.

The refugee damps are fairly nice modest housing. All amenities are there and commerce thrives.
Look at Syria or places in Africa that are literal tent cities with limited food and water located in Central areas of the camp. Sanitation sucks there too. The refugees are not refugees in Israel, they are citizens of Israel.

I have heard that Saudi Arabia has removed the name of Palestine from school textbook maps, it is probably because they know Islam better in Saudi Arabia and know that Palestine is not mentioned in the Quran.

the thing that sticks out the most is that they aren't really palestinians in that sense, they are arabs who live in that region and have adopted the palestinian identity because of a movement to push zionists out and legitimize their cause for rebellion because of what happened with the balfour declaration and how arabs didn't agree with that one thing but was given sovereignty everywhere else, if that was actually true the brittish and french shouldn't have left until the dispute was laid to rest, that would have created an unanimous pressure on arabs to forego their claims on israel in order to gain sovereignty in the rest of the region, but because the brittish left the arabs felt emboldened to try and rid themselves of the colonization of that region.
the actual sin here is the western powers half hearted effort in helping jews establish its country that they promised to them, so really the "palestinians" isn't just israels problem it's the wests problem and it's only an issue due to guilt of destabilizing the middle east.
the west could have helped expel the palestinians as soon as the trouble started and separated the two like two children who are fighting each other over nonsense.
but so much time have passed and so much resentment have been built up over the decades it's gonna be really difficult to move those arabs anywhere else at this point, the west can't take them in due to their own belief in that the west betrayed them which would only cause problems in the west and moving them elsewhere in the middle east is difficult due to their own actions against other countries around them, the lebanese don't like them because they used lebanon as a staging ground for rebellion against israel and jordan don't want them due to black september and egypt i'm not exactly sure, but where are they supposed to go?
however with that said, many countries say they support palestinians, so the best place would be somewhere with them i suppose and only if it is unanimous amongst that population because it's not gonna be easy to take in that many people unless they divide them up amongst themselves, but i think it's owed to the palestinians from the west to help them with that process and fund their re-establishment elsewhere.
anyways that's not really gonna happen, so israel is gonna have to pretty much conquer them or be conquered, it just doesn't look good in a PR way but it's really the only solution they have.
