It was odd that she never once mentioned Alex, her so called protector. Charles never came to visit, wonder why🤔 her dreams of grandiosity makes her super dangerous, she sees herself above any laws & any judgement. Calling Tammy her eternal friend was insulting & outrageous, stating her kids have clear her of any wrong doing was appalling. When, I ask, have we seen Lori worried for her kids? NEVER!! She was dancing on a beach while her kids lay in the cold ground buried like animals. No punishment is enough for this woman, I wonder how well received her BS will be at her new forever residence...

My heart breaks for Joe Ryan. This is hard for me to say, but truly is what's in my heart. I'm a childhood SA survivor. I have read all the available child custody documents pertaining to Colby and Tylee. The likelihood of Lori manipulating her children (and proven by the courts to be the case) to believe the most atrocious things about JR seem more likely than not. This woman didn't just become unhinged in 2019...her delusions simply became untenable when she murdered her children for financial and religious gain. I'm sorry for Colby. I truly am. He has unquestionably had a traumatic childhood and life. I just don't trust he wasn't coerced at a young age to believe certain things. I was disgusted with Lori’s statement. I had pancreatitis twice. It is painful. I almost died twice. But it healed and I am fine now. My lipase level was 5000 the first time and the second time it was 10,000. According to my doctor, 125 is average. He said I should’ve died both times that it was a miracle I didn’t. And the reason I’m telling you this in case somebody says well you didn’t have it as bad as that little precious child but I had it really really bad. She would have healed. She would have had a wonderful life, and as long as she watched the saturated fats, she wouldn’t have an issue with the pancreas. I am really sad that she acted like she did a favor for Tylee. She got what she deserved. As for resting in the arms of Jesus, when she dies, she needs to accept responsibility and ask God’s forgiveness. Pancreatitis sounds horrific. It turns out it can and has been induced in children by their own mothers who, clinically speaking, have what is called Munchausen By Proxy which has been recently renamed as Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another. It is entirely within the realm of possibility that Lori had a hand in Tylee's physical suffering early on in life. That is exactly the behavior of someone who sees their child as an extension of themselves rather than the child being a fully separate entity. These are the kinds of parents that can justify horrific behavior including causing health issues to then look like a heroic parent for helping to "solve" the apparent health problem. Much like the credit Summer gives to Lori. As though without Lori, Tylee would have most certainly died. Fits pretty well with Lori's own take that she saved Tylee from future suffering by taking her life at 16. These are the parents that believe they have the right to take their child's life, and that the right is fundamentally theirs. Sickening.
I've had multiple surgeries growing up and went through pain galore but that doesn't mean that I didn't have a happy life or I wanted to die. Medical illnesses and problems does not justify murder and I bet Tylee would have wanted to live her life and not be taken away from this earth in a such brutal and vicious way by the people who should have been looking out for her. She probably went through worse things in her final moments than she did in her prior lifetime. Lori just wants to justify her twisted crimes and she should be ashamed for saying this.

Adam ghosted Charles after he flew to Phoenix to help with Lori. Adam says in interviews he tried to help Charles but the FOIA documents show that Adam went out to Tucson to visit a friend instead of helping Charles. Hopefully they’ll show all of that in Lori’s trial in AZ. Adam loves publicity (like the rest of the Cox family) and is twisting the truth. He bailed on Charles and didn’t contact to police, his wife had to email the Chandler police. Adam is not telling the truth but it’s in the police reports. Watch the videos of the police talking to him and not just Adam’s interviews.

It's understandable the family needs to believe Lori is mentally ill. It's probably the only way they can make sense of this tragedy. How I see it, though, is Lori is not mentally ill. She's willfully choosing her "delusions". She's lost in her fantasy world, but that doesn't make her mentally ill. It makes her a spoiled rotten adult who believes the world is her oyster and all will bow to her. A lot of her delusions more than likely came from Chad. For some reason, and it's not often explainable, Chad and Lori connected in a way most people will never experience. Unfortunately, it was a connection that lead to the complete and total devastation of those around them. They could have had the life they wanted if they had each divorced their spouses and sent the children to live with relatives; however, that scenario didn't feed into the "chosen one" delusion. Lori knows better...deep down inside...she knows better. Right now she is still playing the chosen one game. After Chad's trial, it probably won't take long before the cracks in her fantasy world begin to show.
Her whole family enabled her and still is. Her brother told a detective how she and Alex were planning to murder Joe Ryan and dispose of his body. None of the Coxes were alarmed? And then Alex assaulted him. None of them found it concerning? She's only admitting to 'delusions' because it fits her story.
Also Chad is a broke loser who was financially supported by his wife. And Lori is used to the finer things in life. Had they each divorced they would have been living off welfare or a hairdresser’s salary; it would’ve been hard to keep up their “divine” fantasy.
The fact that Lori was calculated about what delusions to share with each member shows that she was a highly manipulative narcissist, not someone with delusional disorder, like the sister says
I deal daily with someone who has suffered from delusions due to severe mental illness, and I do not see the same behaviors exhibited by Lori. Their psychosis impacts almost every aspect of life and makes functioning very difficult. Lori may have religious delusions, coupled with personality issues, but it does not appear to be the same as those associated with a schizophrenia or schizoaffective diagnosis.
Only thing is this is the first mention he has had of Tylee and a single person to represent her. He spoke of JJ and Tammy the majority of his coverage. That has always been a thorn in my side. Glad she finally gets to be seen as a human being and a beautiful soul.

Absolutely ripped my heart she was a whisper compared to all the other victims. I get JJ had his grandparents involved. But till now, it seems not one person defended Tylee. And it was upsetting to see her just be a ghost without a story. I’m glad she spoke up too. I agree, thanks for sharing thoughts on beautiful Tylee, I always felt like no spoke out for her. When I watched Tylees interview with the police, my heart broke for her. I saw how hard it was and how she was torn apart protecting her mother. She was an innocent child and her mothers choices are heartbreaking.

The Mental Health System came up with bipolar & schizoaffective disorders, 8 months later they added Alz Dementia at age 65. I took care of her 24/7 for her last 7 years with a month & 1/2 break when she was in a long term nursing home. I being a Christian prayed for her to be delivered from any evil spirit activity & still am not sure exactly what was going on with her. She passed on 2/1/23.

Apparently, there is testimony by Kay woodcock & Larry and others that she WAS, a wonderful mother. Lori has a mental illness and who knows when it manifests itself.
I don’t get how some of you are so quick to talk badly about some of these people. Clearly, Lori has had issues for a while. None of us will ever know for sure if Joseph Ryan abused the kids. It happens. But Lori could have lied about it and manipulated the kids into making things up. I know everything about this case, including the opinions of the court therapists. She definitely has it in her. Summer still believing those accusations is normal. Most of us would hope that allegations would be taken seriously, so it’s not abnormal that Summer would still have those feelings. The lady has been through a lot. Her sister killed her kids and made the entire family famous for the worst reasons. She’s traumatized and still loves the sister she grew up with. Leave her alone. Summer and her mom are still trying to protect their sister. I get it, they love her. But in protecting her and standing by her they have enabled her poor behavior throughout the years. They have “sided” with her and believed in her above common sense. This interview is just a continuation of that. If Lori is delusional how is it that money so perfectly worked out so her and her husband had funds? If this was just her being delusional how was it that she lied to so many people so effectively? I have a good friend who was convinced that Mark Zuckerberg was trying to contact her. She brought it up most days. How I reacted to it, is that I nodded, or didn't say anything. A few weeks after she stopped saying it, she thanked me for simply listening to her and not deriding her about her comments. She said it helped to hear herself say the things out loud, which allowed her to hear how odd they sounded. That said, Lori isn't delusional. She's an opportunistic liar. She was calculating in her manipulation of dozens of people around her. And still is. She's a sociopath whose disorder was under wraps until her relationship with Chad uncovered it. His encouragement and involvement spurred her on to commit the crimes she needed to, to get what she wanted.

From what has been reported there seems to have been much dysfunction in Lori's family...Summer seems somewhat oblivious ( or in denial) that Lori was obviously mentally ill, narcissistic, and a manipulator all along. Summer is still in denial about Joe Ryan...Lori purposefully made his life a living hell, even mental healthcare professionals saw through Lori's lies about Joe Ryan. This doesn't sit good with me. I guess Summer and her mother have painted their own picture, leaving out important facts, touching up where need be, glossing over...this must be the only way they can handle it. I'm very sorry for Summer - after all, not one, but two of her siblings were involved in all these murders. Alex is now dead, and can't be charged, convicted or acquitted, but there was plenty of evidence at Lori's trial to show that he was around at crucial times. Is the family at all angry that their son/brother was drawn into Ms Daybell's web? He did, after all, pull the trigger on Charles.

It is amazing that certain people think that Lori is delusional and blame mental health issues. From what I understand by hearing Megan (a 1st cousine) as a guest in the "Hidden True Crime" podcast, Lori's narcissism and feelings of entitlement were nurtured at home, specially by her father who preached the superiority of their family, and by immediate family members who always supported Lori's intrigues, except Adam (Lori's brother), who continued to be in contact with Charles and tried to help him, while the other family members allienated him. Chad Daybell just gave another boost to Lori's narcissism and feelings of entitlement, leading Lori to the extreme of murdering her own children and husband. With all my respect, I think that is time for Lori's sister and especially Lori's parents to see the monster that Lori is. Lori is not a victim of Chad's manipulation or mental health disease.

I read that they never proved the abuse of Tylee .Also it is rumored that she confessed to people in Hawaii that she had Joe Ryan killed. To me she is a lot like Lori.
I’m in my late 40’s now and I can not even fathom my life having been ended at only 16. I mean,picture yourself when you were 16. So young. So so young…I can’t imagine my life ending then. I believe Lori is deliberately keeping herself delusional to avoid taking responsibility for her heinous actions, which is typical behavior for a narcissist. Narcissists are stubborn to the bone and will never allow for the possibility that they might be wrong about something, because that would destroy the image they try so desperately to project to the world. Lori knew what she was doing was wrong because she went to great pains to hide it from everyone, telling different lies based on the person and the circumstances. A person who doesn't know right from wrong will stay consistent with their narrative, and Lori hasn't done that. I believe she is not allowing her mind to veer to any thoughts that contradict her own narrative. I've lived with a few staunch narcissists and I see all the common denominators in them and Lori. I'm so glad Lori is never getting out of prison because there's no doubt in my mind that she would continue doing things according to her own personal moral compass, which has proven to be faulty. I pray that every family and person affected by her crimes will find peace eventually, although I know the pain will never completely go away. I pray they all find the real God, the God of the Bible, and find His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.

I feel for Summer, but also hope she and her family take some responsibility for the enabling and secrecy in their family system. They alienated and isolated many of their own relations in an effort to protect Lori, and their behavior, though it did not cause the children’s deaths, certainly did nothing to prevent or reduce harm. This is the perfect example of how secrets do not keep people safe.
Not enough attention was given to Tylee's life throughout this whole trial in my opinion. Summer is a complicated person as is the whole Cox family, but she clearly loved Tylee. I'm glad she is giving Tylee a voice.
@@Privyone Watch Summer and Janis's old interview from before the bodies were found. Summer seems to condone the murder of Charles (since she believed all of Lori's lies about Charles). If Summer thinks that she and her family are above the law, and that whoever she hates deserves to die, then no one is safe from her either. Which is why her brother Adam moved to Kansas for a time. He was afraid that Summer would tell Alex and Lori where to find him and kill him. There was some reference way back that Summer and Janis had gone through Adam's phone that he had set down and they then forwarded information about Charles movements to Lori so she could effect her assassination of Charles.
I think we don’t hear as much about Tyler’s life because Lori really isolated her. Tylee was kept close to home and was very much under her mother’s thumb.

Joe Ryan was cleared of any wrong doing after an exhausting investigation. It is on the court records in case Summer wants to read it. Lori did herself no favors by speaking at sentencing. It was odd that she never once mentioned Alex, her so called protector. Charles never came to visit, wonder why🤔 her dreams of grandiosity makes her super dangerous, she sees herself above any laws & any judgement. My heart breaks for Joe Ryan. This is hard for me to say, but truly is what's in my heart. I'm a childhood SA survivor. I have read all the available child custody documents pertaining to Colby and Tylee. The likelihood of Lori manipulating her children (and proven by the courts to be the case) to believe the most atrocious things about JR seem more likely than not. This woman didn't just become unhinged in 2019...her delusions simply became untenable when she murdered her children for financial and religious gain. I'm sorry for Colby. I truly am. He has unquestionably had a traumatic childhood and life. I just don't trust he wasn't coerced at a young age to believe certain things. I've never doubted an SA survivor, and by all accounts, Joe Ryan was not the best parent...but the level of deception and manipulation Lori reigned on her nearest and dearest - it has to be logically called into question. I was disgusted with Lori’s statement. I had pancreatitis twice. It is painful. I almost died twice. But it healed and I am fine now. My lipase level was 5000 the first time and the second time it was 10,000. According to my doctor, 125 is average. He said I should’ve died both times that it was a miracle I didn’t. And the reason I’m telling you this in case somebody says well you didn’t have it as bad as that little precious child but I had it really really bad. She would have healed. She would have had a wonderful life, and as long as she watched the saturated fats, she wouldn’t have an issue with the pancreas. I am really sad that she acted like she did a favor for Tylee. She got what she deserved. As for resting in the arms of Jesus, when she dies, she needs to accept responsibility and ask God’s forgiveness. But as long as she won’t accept responsibility, she can’t ask God for forgiveness for something that she doesn’t think she did wrong. I pity her. Thank you for all your hard work Nate. Pancreatitis sounds horrific. It turns out it can and has been induced in children by their own mothers who, clinically speaking, have what is called Munchausen By Proxy which has been recently renamed as Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another.
It is entirely within the realm of possibility that Lori had a hand in Tylee's physical suffering early on in life.
That is exactly the behavior of someone who sees their child as an extension of themselves rather than the child being a fully separate entity. These are the kinds of parents that can justify horrific behavior including causing health issues to then look like a heroic parent for helping to "solve" the apparent health problem.
Much like the credit Summer gives to Lori. As though without Lori, Tylee would have most certainly died. Fits pretty well with Lori's own take that she saved Tylee from future suffering by taking her life at 16.
These are the parents that believe they have the right to take their child's life, and that the right is fundamentally theirs. Sickening.
I've had multiple surgeries growing up and went through pain galore but that doesn't mean that I didn't have a happy life or I wanted to die. Medical illnesses and problems does not justify murder and I bet Tylee would have wanted to live her life and not be taken away from this earth in a such brutal and vicious way by the people who should have been looking out for her. She probably went through worse things in her final moments than she did in her prior lifetime. Lori just wants to justify her twisted crimes and she should be ashamed for saying this.

Adam says in interviews he tried to help Charles but the FOIA documents show that Adam went out to Tucson to visit a friend instead of helping Charles. Hopefully they’ll show all of that in Lori’s trial in AZ. Adam loves publicity (like the rest of the Cox family) and is twisting the truth. He bailed on Charles and didn’t contact to police, his wife had to email the Chandler police. Adam is not telling the truth but it’s in the police reports. Watch the videos of the police talking to him and not just Adam’s interviews.

It's understandable the family needs to believe Lori is mentally ill. It's probably the only way they can make sense of this tragedy. How I see it, though, is Lori is not mentally ill. She's willfully choosing her "delusions". She's lost in her fantasy world, but that doesn't make her mentally ill. It makes her a spoiled rotten adult who believes the world is her oyster and all will bow to her. A lot of her delusions more than likely came from Chad. For some reason, and it's not often explainable, Chad and Lori connected in a way most people will never experience. Unfortunately, it was a connection that lead to the complete and total devastation of those around them. They could have had the life they wanted if they had each divorced their spouses and sent the children to live with relatives; however, that scenario didn't feed into the "chosen one" delusion. Lori knows better...deep down inside...she knows better. Right now she is still playing the chosen one game. After Chad's trial, it probably won't take long before the cracks in her fantasy world begin to show.

I deal daily with someone who has suffered from delusions due to severe mental illness, and I do not see the same behaviors exhibited by Lori. Their psychosis impacts almost every aspect of life and makes functioning very difficult. Lori may have religious delusions, coupled with personality issues, but it does not appear to be the same as those associated with a schizophrenia or schizoaffective diagnosis.

The Mental Health System came up with bipolar & schizoaffective disorders, 8 months later they added Alz Dementia at age 65. I took care of her 24/7 for her last 7 years with a month & 1/2 break when she was in a long term nursing home. I being a Christian prayed for her to be delivered from any evil spirit activity & still am not sure exactly what was going on with her. She passed on 2/1/23.

I have a good friend who was convinced that Mark Zuckerberg was trying to contact her. She brought it up most days. How I reacted to it, is that I nodded, or didn't say anything. A few weeks after she stopped saying it, she thanked me for simply listening to her and not deriding her about her comments. She said it helped to hear herself say the things out loud, which allowed her to hear how odd they sounded.
That said, Lori isn't delusional. She's an opportunistic liar. She was calculating in her manipulation of dozens of people around her. And still is. She's a sociopath whose disorder was under wraps until her relationship with Chad uncovered it. From what has been reported there seems to have been much dysfunction in Lori's family...Summer seems somewhat oblivious ( or in denial) that Lori was obviously mentally ill, narcissistic, and a manipulator all along. Summer is still in denial about Joe Ryan...Lori purposefully made his life a living hell, even mental healthcare professionals saw through Lori's lies about Joe Ryan. This doesn't sit good with me.

I'm very sorry for Summer - after all, not one, but two of her siblings were involved in all these murders. Alex is now dead, and can't be charged, convicted or acquitted, but there was plenty of evidence at Lori's trial to show that he was around at crucial times. Is the family at all angry that their son/brother was drawn into Ms Daybell's web? He did, after all, pull the trigger on Charles.

From what I understand by hearing Megan (a 1st cousine) as a guest in the "Hidden True Crime" podcast, Lori's narcissism and feelings of entitlement were nurtured at home, specially by her father who preached the superiority of their family, and by immediate family members who always supported Lori's intrigues, except Adam (Lori's brother), who continued to be in contact with Charles and tried to help him, while the other family members allienated him.
Chad Daybell just gave another boost to Lori's narcissism and feelings of entitlement, leading Lori to the extreme of murdering her own children and husband.
With all my respect, I think that is time for Lori's sister and especially Lori's parents to see the monster that Lori is. Lori is not a victim of Chad's manipulation or mental health disease.

I believe Lori is deliberately keeping herself delusional to avoid taking responsibility for her heinous actions, which is typical behavior for a narcissist. Narcissists are stubborn to the bone and will never allow for the possibility that they might be wrong about something, because that would destroy the image they try so desperately to project to the world.
Lori knew what she was doing was wrong because she went to great pains to hide it from everyone, telling different lies based on the person and the circumstances. A person who doesn't know right from wrong will stay consistent with their narrative, and Lori hasn't done that. I believe she is not allowing her mind to veer to any thoughts that contradict her own narrative. I've lived with a few staunch narcissists and I see all the common denominators in them and Lori.
I'm so glad Lori is never getting out of prison because there's no doubt in my mind that she would continue doing things according to her own personal moral compass, which has proven to be faulty.

If Summer thinks that she and her family are above the law, and that whoever she hates deserves to die, then no one is safe from her either. Which is why her brother Adam moved to Kansas for a time. He was afraid that Summer would tell Alex and Lori where to find him and kill him.
There was some reference way back that Summer and Janis had gone through Adam's phone that he had set down and they then forwarded information about Charles movements to Lori so she could effect her assassination of Charles.
I think we don’t hear as much about Tyler’s life because Lori really isolated her. Tylee was kept close to home and was very much under her mother’s thumb.

She knew Tylee was in danger, like Melanie Gibb, and she didn't do anything about it. So l can't get why people have such a high regard for? lf she wants to represent Tylee, first she should start with an apology....
What a lovely tribute by Summer. She’s definitely a strong individual and loved JJ and Tylee. That’s how people want to remember them. Not for their murders. RIP JJ and Tylee.
