- Into the Okavango Delta follows the safari adventure undertaken by Pangolin Photo Hosts Guts, Janine, Charl and Sabine in 2020. See all the amazing African wildlife they encountered (and photographed) including lions, leopard, wild dogs and huge elephants.
Welcome to our channel which is dedicated to the wonderful world of wildlife photography. We endeavour to load one new video every week featuring beginner to advanced photo skills, editing tutorials, hacks and gear reviews. We are based in Northern Botswana in The Chobe National Park and we invite you to travel here, either virtually or physically, and we will do our very best to make you a better wildlife and nature photographer. You folks always seem to outdo yourself. This and Sabine’s earlier video are my favorites. I’ll bet you would be great instructors in learning video of wildlife too. I just can’t get enough of your material. Africa is a spiritual experience and you bring that all out in your videos. Great work.

What can I say but WOW! If I was ever to travel OS to photograph wildlife it would have to be to the Delta

Hi Rob. the trip was arounds 10 days with camping in the reserves and on some private concessions managed by industry colleagues.
Wow, amazing videos and photos. Would love to pay you guys a visit, but need to wait for the pandemic to be over. Question do take any kind of weapon to protect yourself?
Hi Cesar, we would love to welcome you in Botswana as soon as possible. Nope, no weapon required... matter of fact if you go into a National Park you do it on your own risk as the animals are king. If you stick to certain rules (e.g. don't walk up to the lion) it is very very safe... - Janine

@bass & pickrel slayer yes Zebras often team up to keep watch in opposite directions like that. Its quite common. The elephant died of natural causes we believe. the tusks were in place and there was no sign of any violent struggle. with 100,000 elephants in Botswana, you see that more often through the year.

What time of year was this recorded? It’s just brilliant.
Amazing. Thank you. Couple of questions. First I am assuming a lot of the footage was shot at 120 FPS. Yes? Can you provide some of the specs and gear that was used? Secondly there are several what appear to be drone shots. Can you tell me what the rules and requirements for flying a small drone (Dji Mavic Mini II) in Botswana and even in Kenya at the Great Migration? Thanks.
Hi Tia. Most of the video was taken on a 1Dx mk 2 body with various lenses. As to the drone shots you can only fly then in national reserves if you have a specific licence from that country. This footage was on private reserves where you still need a licence but flying with permission is allowed. Flying a drone in Kenya at the migration is a big no no as it can often spook the herds causing chaos.
