A very impressing work, wow. In the end of the 1990´s I convinced DNER, the Brazilian road department to use Bamboo under an embankment at BR 101, near Joinville/SC, just before the intersection to Jaraguá do Sul. The underground consisted of soft clay, surrounded by rice fields, high water level. We put first the bamboo as grids, bamboo crossing each other every 50cm. We made 3 layers and then overloaded the construction with sand and gravel. The lobby of geossynttetics was very interested as they saw a cheap local method competing with their expensive global products. All went well for us and the road is still nice and comfortable.

My late father trained as a joiner in Scotland and during his apprenticeship he learned knots, because, at the time, there was no such thing as metal scaffolding, it was all wood, and to join it together you needed to know all the different knots to use to hold it together and make it safe to climb on.
Using Bamboo to build a major road on is amazing, maybe they should teach the US how to use it, maybe so much stuff won't fall down.

공법 : 대나무를 바다에 담궈-일종의 침지법으로 방부성능을 발현 시키고 -이를 13겹 적층하여= 즉 토사 대용으로 사용 하는 것..
나름 스마트 한 것 같은데..이공법이 가능한 것은 = 대나무가 바닷물 속에 영구 존치 되기 때문에 =>썩지 않는다는(decay) 가정(연구결과/실현)인데..
문제는 =대나무는 속이 비었고 -바닷물의 염분이 대나무속의 물 산소 탄닌 셀루로스 등과 치환 되지만 - 장기변형 즉,단면 결손이 생긴다는 것이다.대나무 각자가 수축/팽창 변형 하게 된다.
선형으로 이루워 지는데,결국 상부에 적층된 흙(soil)의 침하가 발생하게 되는데,이 변형이 불규칙하게 일어난다는 거다..
conc'- pile은 고정단 역활을 하지만,,conc'은 자체가 수축팽창 -변형율 안에서 거동 하는데,지반이 수평 변형에게 되어서 -고소도로의 일정해야할 선형이 변형되게 되는것.
> 장기변형에 대응할 방법이 없기 때문에..
