It says "No Vehicles" But drivers are up and down there working for fast food places? And this reporter.. My days, patronising as all hell, disgraceful attitude, get him gone!!
It would make more sense to simply tellvthem to slow down rather than walk. No doubt there are roads where you could argue that cars should be banned, and these cars are far more dangerous yet we never see the bbc challenging cars. It should be a shared space with speed restrictions and clear guidance, if an accident happens it should be on the cyclist. But to ban bikes is daft. This what I'm constantly looking at the idiocy of councils. A shared space with the responsibility of safety on the cyclist would probably have a better result. So long as riders ride slowly and with care there is no need to ban bikes there, it only becomes dangerous when you have people blasting through.
I think the council should ask the police, to patrol the pedestrian precinct, and anyone caught cycling, issue them with a £100 fine. Another way the council could deal with this, is the fine, up the fine to £500, and have bigger signs
I think you're a knob, you should be fined for mearly breathing earths oxygen. But on a serious note, you think that fining people, whom the vast majority using bikes in Grimsby will be on the poverty line 500 quid is acceptable? Now look in the mirror and say your comment and come to the correct conclusion that you're wrong.
Dont give the council ideas so they can piss more of our money up the wall the towns is a joke now nevermind the town centre and its all the councils fault they dont need more money from us peasants trust me
why is it so hard to just walk with a cycle? what about older people perhaps with poor vision, intimidated by cyclists rushing past a few inches from their shoulders?
It's illogical to demand cyclists dismount for pedestrians as throughout the whole of the country now, there's shared cycle/pedestrian paths. And i Don't mean split lanes, either!
title should read "trevors got nothing to do with his life"
high streets wide enough for all and virtually deserted
It says "No Vehicles"

If it is not enforced what is the point?
I think there are more important issues in the town than someone on a fucking bike…
😂🤣😂 I don't speak English guy

Put a cycle lane clearly marked down the middle of it, everyones happy then. Cost of signs & fine admin vs tins of paint?
Big ride out needs organising lol
What about youths on scouters and mobility scooter going 4 mile an hour. I think a few people on their bicycles is the least of Grimsby's problems

Should stick security on the precinct. That would benefit revenue and maybe stop the muppets breaking the rules.
saying its dangerous to cycle in town center when cars and vans drive down there but there "allowed" coz its to do with work
Makes no sense
biked through town since i was 10 if your not going fast i don't see the problem

Grimsby is grim, but not because of cyclists. Councils should not have the authority to ban cycling. Have they ever been to Amsterdam?
I must go to Grimsby, it looks cool, lots to do, and generally GREAT. Thanks for the upload.
How very tinpot!
its not dangerous to cycle in a pedestrian precinct, most precincts don't restrict cyclists if they're cycling responsibly
youtube.com/@zakward5029 think they ignore all rules
Lmao
Tell the council to get stuffed
😎😎 lol
Haven't they got better things to do.
