  • A detailed tutorial on changing the transmission brake shoes - the lighting and sound is not so good but I hope you get the idea- this was an easy subject to cover - but difficult to film
As UA-cam have moved the goals to become monetized, and I have a niche channel, funding is never going to happen, so I have set up a Patreon as I would like to get a higher speed upload, which means I get post more videos, AND in 1080
Takes me about 2.5 hours to upload a 15 minutes at the moment.
I will be giving credits to my supporters at the end of my videos from now on. I am very grateful to one and all!

    Hi Mike
I've found using a pair of long nosed pliers held end on to the pin sometimes works for squeezing the cir-clip back into the groove works

Hi, thanks for the amazing tips.
I have a question. What happens if we remove all drum? It's necessary any retainer to replace it?

hi mike, we have just did this job, and we are having a right job getting the drum back on, any tips you can give me? My dad decided it needed doing, which it didn't need doing, only cause the screw came slack.

You may have the shoes slightly higher or lower
Give them a tap up or down if the adjuster is backed right off

@@BritannicaRestorations Thanks very much mike for that, it was a great help. All back together now, what we didn't do, was greece the contact points on the back plate, Did that and all was good. But we had to remove the back plate, to access the pin. Anyway i owe you a beer!

I don’t think it matters re fitting the prop shaft in the same position, when it’s made it’s balanced off the vehicle not on. Like when you replace the prop shaft with a new one.
