It is so cool to see trucks from 80s. Always puts smile on our face when when somebody brings old Tamiya truck for service...these are true RC enthusiasts!
I have been looking at tamiya kits for a long time and this is the one I always come back to. I never had one as a kid but I remember them you talked me into it I am gonna get one and build it.
Hello you may figured it out. A lipo do has a different connector. You will have to use an adapter oder solder everything equal. The re release ESC also has a jumper for NiMH and lipo. It will run in both jumper settings but you shouldn't run lipos down in voltage. The lipo setting prevents that. "Hopefully" the ESC will Stopp or gets first slower when the voltage is too low.
I'm just going to say - looks like he's already had a few ! Jk sorry it was to easy and you lined it all up , someone was going to say it ? Hello is this mic on , thanks folks I'll be here all week .
In my 2wd slash my pinion gear keeps coming loose even when i tighten the grub screw all the way without stripping it. Is there anything that would cause this. Please and Thanks.
Last spring I bought an original '87 Vanessa's Lunchbox, which was my introduction to hobby-grade R/C. I have since moved on to a Stampdede, a Slash, & I've got my eye on a Axial & a Losi stadium trucks respectively. As stated the Lunchbox is a lot of fun, but it wears thin pretty quickly. I've seen people do some incredible mods but for my money I would just prefer a more modern vehicle. Mine is sitting up in a closet with a broken link. Having said all that, it is a good vehicle to get one excited about R/C vehicles in general. really good video of a Lunchbox in action here --> ua-cam.com/video/6u3olB6sq8g/v-deo.html
I still have mine from the 80s. I rebuilt it a couple years ago with some upgrades. It really is a ton of fun to drive!

You should use any thread-locker on it (ex Loctite).....don't forget to degrease set screw before you put thread-locker on it.
i have this exact one. im going to get a new battery for it
Thanks for the comment, Have Fun!
i have a lunch box and its my first and i love it and the hobby but the stock speed control burns up on any quicker motors than the stock one
