People tried to DDoS this guy's stream and didn't know they attacked the Pentagon by DDoS this guy. Earlier league days there were already people who DDoS during tournament and games. This was the time these people got caught very fast.

Ghosting falls under cheating or unfair advantage, azubu frost (or whatever their team was) literally looked at the large monitor during a professional match and won because they knew the information of where their opponents were.
What happened to tyler1 is the same thing just in a solo q match even with a riot employee too.

As a sofware developer I don't plan on playing League after Vanguard is added. Riot might not be ill intended, but it makes them an even bigger target for hackers to steal data through them. Riot doesn't need a scandal of collecting data on you, all they need is a security breach they were late to notice. I'm not talking about privacy so much as a potential zero-day or SolarWinds hack. And since the DDoS attacks on LCK, Riot Games layoffs... I just don't trust Riot enough with this one.

Vanguard runs 24/7 and needs a PC restart if you close it. Anticheat like battleye or easyanticheat only runs when the game is active.
Worst of all, valorant uses Vanguard and still has tons of cheaters. League barely has any scripters, and it's really only gonna be an issue for masters+ players which is less than 1% of all players

Even as a league addict and lover for many years now, I hate Vanguard to the point that I'll unfortunately probably quit League.
Definitely uninstalling and taking a break; planning on quitting indefinitely, but if Vanguard seems to have minimal issues and all my league friends stick with it I might end up coming back.

You can completely close Vanguard when you are not playing, I can't offer any advice on the second problem but what I can tell you is that Vanguard has ran for 4 years for Valorant players without any exploits being found or major performance issues.
I don't think it's a problem if u have dummy pc without important data there, I get it most people got all their important info on pc cuz who tf have multiple ones.
