Great video. I have a Bolt EUV with supercruise. I live in Atlanta and I was finding that while it worked great, there is so much traffic that I get too nervous to leave it on all of the time. I took an 1800 mile round trip drive earlier this summer and that is where Super Cruise was really fantastic. I was driving up I-77 and I-81 and much of the trip had little to no traffic. There were 30-45 minute stretches where I did not even have to touch the steering wheel. It was especially helpful because I had carefully planned the route using A Better Route Planner connected to an ODB2 device and PlugShare so maintaining the correct speed, especially through the mountains, really helped with the accuracy of the plan.
Thank you for your comment - it is so appreciated! Totally agree that using Super Cruise in traffic takes some nerve. I probably use it 50% of the time when in tight Orlando traffic and even then I sometimes keep my hands on the wheel just in case. Being cautious is smart. But yes, highway travel is great with Super Cruise and I'm glad to hear your trip went well!
😊Your UA-cam videos are excellent. Photography and narrative information is extremely well done. I really enjoyed your video explaining your rationale for choosing a Chevy Bolt EUV. So many are negative towards EVs. I'm a BIG EV fan. Currently driving a 2023 Bolt EV, my fifth EV.
We appreciate your comment! Interestingly enough, we used the eastbound I-4 express lane 2 days ago very briefly to avoid a back up after leaving Universal Studios. Super Cruise WAS working on the stretch we drove on.
As great as super cruise is, it is unfortunately limited compared to other more expensive GM offerings, and eventually they will be charging a monthly fee for it. In my 2017 Bolt EV, I have installed the Comma AI 3 system, which looks like a dash cam, but operates very similarly, except that the price is entirely upfront, and it will work anywhere. My 2017 is not completely supported, for example while it can slow down in L mode, it can't actually hit the brakes, but that's no problem, because I treat it just like you treat super cruise, just like a learning teenage driver, with my hand always on the wheel.
I was going to buy this car, but, the tesla model 3 is so close in its price range that its not a hard choice to make. Tesla also qualifies for 7.5k credit. After seeing how thin a Bolt was on the highway, I was so relieved I got the tesla. The bolt looks like a cheap toy.
Thanks for watching and your comment. My car was much cheaper than a Model 3 so we didn't even consider a Tesla (and that's even without the 7.5k credit). I saw recently that Tesla was sued for falsely overstating their range. Yikes!
When did you get Tesla. Model 3? Well, EUV is about LT 1 is about12k cheaper unless you get premium with super cruise that brings to around 5k difference.
Tesla model 3 is more expensive than a bolt stop trying to take 7500 of the price of the car the car is 40 k before taxes if you qualify it will reduce you tax liability by how much you owe up to 7500

Thank you for your comment! It's always nice to hear when someone enjoys what you do 😊
Thanks for the videos! Have you attempted Super Cruise on the I4 express lanes yet? I am curious if they have those lanes already mapped.

Sollte nicht im jeden Auto verbaut werden
