Galata-i is really important because since linkuriboh's ban the only way to link away girsu's token has been link spider, which is earth and can't be used if started with harp. Even if its effect was like "Orcusts gains 100 atk" it would been crazy good. Then they went and gave it 2 over the top effects. But I'm not going to complain.

Outside of maybe fire princes all cards get released in OCG first and then TCG and MD (and its a rarity for MD to get cards that early). Sure MD can sometimes get cards earlier than expected but those are exceptions and not the norm. We dont even have Fiendsmith in MD yet lol

For those that want to know what the remaining P.U.N.K. and Dragonmaid cards do that got leaked: P.U.N.K. gets a Rank 8 Light Wyrm 2800/400 that can be summoned on top of a Punk Fusion or Synchro monster that can detach a material and pay 600 to draw a card and detach a material to negate and destroy a monster effect while you have a Level 3 Psychic in GY. And a Level 8 Water Sea Serpent 2400/2400 that can special summon itself from the hand by banishing a Punk card from hand or GY. Can on summon pay 600 to add or special a non Level 8 Punk from deck and switch an opponents Attack position with 2500 or more ATK that activates its effect to defense And Dragonmaid gets the Dragon form of Chamber which is a Level 9 Dark Dragon with 2800/1800 that can be discarded to special a Dragonmaid from GY or banishment. Prevents your Dragon Fusion monsters from being destroyed by battle or card effects and the classic Battle Phase tag out effect And a new Fusion (Light Dragon 2000/3000) that needs 2 Dragonmaids with the same Attribute but different levels, can be summoned by banishing the materials 1 from field and 1 from GY. On special summon specials a Level 4 or lower Dragonmaid from deck and can shuffle back fusion materials from your GY and banishment to fusion summon a fusion monster during the Standby Phase.
The new cards leaked a while ago. Leaks stated it'd be 2 Orcust cards, 2 Dragonmaid and 2 Punk cards. So far the leak got both Orcust cards perfectly, so that should be it for the new Orcust cards. For the two punk cards it should be an xyz that can also be made with a punk synchro or fusion, that can detach 1 and pay 600 to draw 1, and a QE monster negate(that destroys) while a lvl3 psychic is in the gy. Other punk is a lvl 8 monster. Can SS by banishing a punk card from hand or gy. When SS'd you can pay 600 to add a non-8 punk to hand or SS it from deck/gy.It's final effect just lets you QE change an opponents monster with 2500 or more atk to def mode. For the dragonmaids the first is a new fusion. Must be summoned by banishing a dragonmaid on field and in gy with the same attribute. When SS you can ss a level 4 or lower dragonmaid from the deck. Second effect is during the standby phase you can fusion summon by shuffling materials mentionedon the card from your gy or banishment into the deck. Other dragonmaid is supposed to be Chambers dragon form. It can discard itself to SS a dragonmaid from your gy or banishment except itself. Second effect makes your fusions immune to destruction by battle or card effects, and third effect it returns to hand to ss a level 4 or lower dragonmaid from hand.
I still hated that Konami doubled down on giving Gladiator Beasts(a deck with a lonely unsearchable extender) another link 2 instead of giving them a link 1, now of all things they give orcust a link 1 and a very good one in that smh.

As much as people joke about link 1 that searches the field spell, this is only the 6th one out of 60 link 1s, and one of those also came out this year (the Blue-Eyes one).
This two cards I think can work in mekk-knight too. Iirc 1.5 combo (girsu + any) results in link 4 + secret with indigo in gy + babel. That means 3 or maybe 4 disruptions, pretty decent imo.
So in MD to get around the whole you have to choose between Babel or Crescendo thing I've been using AFD with Chicken game and revolution synchron. Lets you get both in one turn. But obv having the link 1 makes this way easier so thats good.

The link one is great, but it basically turned the deck back to what it used to be but in a more non generic better updated modern way. Now it’s 2 cards to get going specifically orcust/world legacy cards unless you link off harp for example but in return it gives a bigger reward then back in the day. Back then it was any two monsters and now it’s less generic but arguably better pay off
Don't call Orcust old, it's bad for our hairlines. The Link 1 does so much for making the deck smoother to play and makes purer builds actually function. Lets us use Orcusts in our hand to actually make plays, rather than rely on external discard outlets. Also, grabbing the Field Spell is nice, as it was always weird choosing between Babel or the Counter Trap with Galatea, and you REALLY wanted to see both.
Unless you have a way to send an Orcust to grave, this doesn't make Orcust splashable at ALL. I guess you can play 1 link 1, 1 ding, 1 cresendo and 1 gal to make any 2 level 8s equal a cresendo, but... just play fiendsmith at that point.

For example I was stomping Spright with DDD and paired really well against PoTe Tear (first wave) but as soon as we got to DaBL they became unplayable, then MaMa hit and became a joke. Even now they can't keep up despite the end board being on par with Yubel and Snakes

No they don't. Bystials aren't nearly as good against Orcust as they were before, especially since the link 1 searches world crown if you try to use a bystial on Harp, and World crown can still get them to Galatea plus cresendo at bare minimum. Nib has never been great against Orcust, the deck can simply play through it, and the link 4 now means even if they burn through all your orcust names and THEN nib you, you can still end on him with cresendo for 2 interruptions minimum
Does Babel actually work on enlilgirsu gy effect, because it says "during YOUR main phase" So like yeah it's a quick eff during your main phase but that's hardly relevant
During your main phase is part of the next effect. It’s separated by a period. Thats just a clause for the GY effect, the quick effect part is at any time.
Oh he is talking about babel’s text. Everything is a quick eff on both turns. The “During your main phase” is only for the eff that adds itself back to hand. The deck is fun even pre-support. Plays really similarly to Tear. Try it out.

i like orcust and i don't want to badmouth it, BUT this is a good example, why the yugi community in generell is so toxic and that are the stupid hype and buyout of cards, Harp Horror went in 24 hours from 20 euros to 50 euros JUST because orcust got a Balelynx, which doesn't make the deck tier 0. Balelynx is still the better link 1 for my opinion. #TeamSalads
Harp has like 5 lower rarity printings that are pennies, just because the QCR got more expensive means nothing. Also this card is Balelynx on CRACK in every way what are you smoking? I see no problems with this, if anything I want every card in the game to have multiple rarities like this so collectors can spend their money while players are still able to afford the cards. 2. You should know just how insane an on-demand discard in Orcust is. Looking at this card from any angle except in a vacuum, it's better than Balelynx for it's deck. Having more search options, being able to recover from GY, being able to revive itself, being able to make the bricks in your hand into combo extenders, all things that Balelynx simply does not do. Being able to make Harp and Skele into combo starters instead of just bricks in hand already gives the deck so much more potential and resilience.
What next, a monster that summons its self when added to the hand except by drawing it? That would be something else …

No they don't. Bystials aren't nearly as good against Orcust as they were before, especially since the link 1 searches world crown if you try to use a bystial on Harp, and World crown can still get them to Galatea plus cresendo at bare minimum.
Nib has never been great against Orcust, the deck can simply play through it, and the link 4 now means even if they burn through all your orcust names and THEN nib you, you can still end on him with cresendo for 2 interruptions minimum

So like yeah it's a quick eff during your main phase but that's hardly relevant
During your main phase is part of the next effect. It’s separated by a period. Thats just a clause for the GY effect, the quick effect part is at any time.
Oh he is talking about babel’s text. Everything is a quick eff on both turns. The “During your main phase” is only for the eff that adds itself back to hand. The deck is fun even pre-support. Plays really similarly to Tear. Try it out.

i like orcust and i don't want to badmouth it, BUT this is a good example, why the yugi community in generell is so toxic and that are the stupid hype and buyout of cards, Harp Horror went in 24 hours from 20 euros to 50 euros JUST because orcust got a Balelynx, which doesn't make the deck tier 0. Balelynx is still the better link 1 for my opinion. #TeamSalads
Harp horror is litterally 0.02 Euros on cardmarket right now. The QCR is 22 Euros at the time I am writing this (aka purely cosmetic upgrade).
Harp has like 5 lower rarity printings that are pennies, just because the QCR got more expensive means nothing.
Also this card is Balelynx on CRACK in every way what are you smoking? Link 1 that discards in a deck that wants it's cards in the graveyard AND revives itself for additional bodies? Yeah no this is better than Balelynx.

Simply doesn't change the fact, that the quarter is now almost THREE time as much as 2 days ago because of a link 1, that's NOT much better than balelynx, simply because balelynx makes plus one, this card doesn't. That's a fact. Balelynx makes all plays in salads alive just by controlling a link, you make much more extenders alive. Another fact. I never said the link 1 is bad, I never said that.
@@Nikolai-q7e 1. The highest rarity of a card was bought out while still having multiple cheaper versions of the card for people who want to pick up the deck. I see no problems with this, if anything I want every card in the game to have multiple rarities like this so collectors can spend their money while players are still able to afford the cards.
2. You should know just how insane an on-demand discard in Orcust is. Looking at this card from any angle except in a vacuum, it's better than Balelynx for it's deck. Having more search options, being able to recover from GY, being able to revive itself, being able to make the bricks in your hand into combo extenders, all things that Balelynx simply does not do. Being able to make Harp and Skele into combo starters instead of just bricks in hand already gives the deck so much more potential and resilience.
