    HOLY SHIT, I took my girlfriend to see this movie last night. Did NOT see any trailers, had not read any reviews, we "gave it a try", we left the theater overwhelmed with anxiety, we loved this movie, it was fucking intense!!!!

      Doesnt work that way. I was involved in a riot of punks/hardcore kids against nazis in Pottstown PA in the early 90's. Cops let the nazis go and arrested punks. And the Nazis completely started it. Used to happen all the time in places like Allentown, Bethlehem, Pottstown, all over PA.

    I KNEW it...I had a chance to go to a Q&A with the director a month ago...knew nothing about Green Room, didn't feel like driving an hour away. Finally saw the movie last night, it was so good I didn't even care that I skipped the Q&A the film speaks for itself in "volumes" The trailer DOES NOT do it justice.

    One of the best lines in the film is when the kid Tad, who set them up with the first gig, is telling them about the Green Room venue.
    He says it's "right wing, or, technically ultra-left, but not affiliated." It's a slick little acknowledgement of the nuances of political sub-genres.

    Like an M Night Shyamalan except he never had a hit movie. Once in awhile the fucking powers-that-be throw a dog a bone and that's what the world has given this guy a bone. It's like a fluke of nature. Shity fucking things get passed through the cracks and people don't object to it and it give it a thumbs up even though it's as stupid as hell. We live in a world where people are fascinated by politics even though the actual politics and political machine is broken and horrid. People are fascinated with sitting on their asses and watching movies all fucking day long even if they have money they're just tied to a TV or device and actually do nothing at all to progress their lives like they're almost zombies themselves

      +CalyGamer13 you obviously don't know filmmaking. The film "look" itself is VERY hard to achieve in and of itself. If this movie attracted Patrick Stewart it has something going for it.

    • @CalyGamer13
      @CalyGamer13 8 років тому

      +titanfighter12 Patrick Stewart's a respectable actor no matter what role he does, doesn't change the fact the trailer looks like it mixed with The Final and The Hills Have Eyes (the army one), there's actually a horror movie I remember that's closer to what the trailer looks like but I forgot the name. The trailer is like the Final except the Neo-Nazis replaced the nerds and the Punks replaced the popular kids...and they have the means to kind of fight back, which i suppose isn't unique to Hills. Fighting makes it more of a thriller than a horror in my opinion. My initial comment seems a little harsh in hindsight but I was marathoning fight scenes, the last ones I was watching were big Italian guy vs the Baldies in The Wanderers, Asians vs Skins in Romper Stomper, The Warriors vs Punks in...well duh The Warriors and Punks vs Skins in Punk, some French film. This video was in my Suggested, so I was expecting some Punk-Nazi brawler/coming to age film.
