Hello have a question I’m new to the hobby, and I have watched a couple of videos on monsters trucks and I see a hole lot of complaining. That the vehicle is cheap parts don’t hold up or what ever
Don’t it made sense to upgrade the parts and then go out and test it before giving there opinion on it, I see this video were guys are bashing this trucks up and then complaining about it

I bought the standard epx volcano and sad to say but was sadly disappointed my freind had the exact truck and was twice the truck mine was I'm waiting to see what happens the dealer I went through is trying to get it figured out but waiting on redcat to see what there going to do

Can you.use a 3s battery with it
had mine for 7 years.. I ended up mad maxing the body and small parts.. Dropped a 3s in that ass and still goin tuff!
All I wanted was a center differential option or better options for gearing.
And maybe a 15kg servo. Those are the two parts that are just not up to par in any sense of the word.
You’ve gotta replace that plastic tooth servo horn. That’s the first thing that breaks on the new version. Sometimes it strips within minutes of the 1st run. Besides that it’s a great MT
I'm pretty sure that's every redcat that comes out the factory. It's been a problem for at least 8 years.
Idk why they can't just send them out with a metal one in the first place.. The only reason I can see is that it's a source of income added into the sale of the original truck. Everyone will buy that part in metal at some point from Redcat. Honesty, I think they would gain more from happy buyers spreading the news of a less expensive rc that is tough as nails, not the one that broke in 38 seconds on Christmas morning.... Just think about how many people are watching (8 family members) thinking damn, that looks fun, and them boom, how many people (all 8 family members)just said nope, not buying that one, it cost over $200 and lasted 38 seconds....

What’s the difference between this one and the old mode I was checking the old model has a 3800kv 540?
Bought one blew the rear tire and stripped the plastic hub also broke all shafts except for fronts also cracked the chassis

How has it held up?
@@superstatus2640 funny you should ask- I just took it out this Saturday and ran about 6* 2S packs on very, very, very bumpy terrain. It took every hit like a champ. It’s tough as nails. But alas on the 7th battery pack the rear tire sheered off- simple and cheap fix. Other than that just some body damage from landing on some pointed rocks. I highly recommend. Very impressed. 8/10
