    I enjoyed this white board episode of an introduction to Garrett's new Axiom Pulse Induction nugget detector, a state of the art detector. Normally with other products the price increases after a pre order window closes. The pre order price is usually less by 20%-30%. This is what I have experienced.

    • @ChrisRalph
      @ChrisRalph  Рік тому +1

      The 4K price is 100% of the dealer recommended price range. I do expect that eventually it will come down but that is my guess.

      @@ChrisRalph I have an Axiom on order, my understanding of the price is the $3995 is the MAP price (the lowest a dealer is allowed to advertise the product) the MSRP price is $4700. Some retailers are already charging $4500 for pre order so it pays to shop around. The price very well might go down in a year, especially if a person negotiates in person with a dealer. As for now though, $3995 is the best price available. It is a good package for the price with 2 coils included, and in my opinion is the best value for money out there at the moment, for what appears to be a very capable PI machine.

    Hi Chris, loved the video.
    I just contacted garret and they don't know when they'll have the Axiom. No one has it for sale.
    Here's my story, and I hope you or anyone reading can help.
    Over 30 years ago I hit gold with my dozer putting in my road to the creek. I blew it off at the time thinking it was pyrite, it was not I found out a year later.
    We had extremely heavy rains here on the Georgetown divide above Garden valley Ca near Bear Creek, the creek directly below the spot where I hit gold, had several raw pieces of gold, these were new and unwashed because I had just mined the creek.
    Years went by and I finally bought a new 580N backhoe to dig up the vein, but it could be down as deep as 5' or more, but I know the exact spot to this day.
    In the mean time I've been diagnosed with cancer and time is quickly running out, I have maybe a few months of good days left, so I'd really like to move on this.
    I think this would make for a great video in a real world test of the Axiom.
    I'm Tom, so if you, or anyone wants to take a crack at this and you have the right equipment, let me know

      I started digging it out, but I'll have to wait for rain, the road is like solid rock after 3 decades. Kind of surprised me.🙂

    Hello Chris, Nice introduction to the Axiom. I have found a 1 dwt nugget down about 12" or better with the 7k using the stock coil. At what depth do you think the Axiom would be able to hear the same size. I know ground conditions and settings are all viable variables to consider. Just with what you've seen... a best guess would work. Guess I can't wait for the field tests you mentioned 🙂 Been using the 7k and the GM1k .. Thinking of adding something between the 2 and the Axiom might fit the bill. Thanks

    • @ChrisRalph
      @ChrisRalph  Рік тому +1

      Its not going to punch deeper than the 7000, but its a heck of a lot cheaper. There are so many variables, to give a number is almost meaningless. If you let me choose all the variables, I can get whatever results you like.

I was thinking of getting the Axiom and maybe one other less expensive variety, like a Gold Bug 2 maybe. @@karimrazak3798 If you are asking, if it will detect gold in a quartz material, if it is in the machines detection range... size of gold, distance to target etc. Then yes it can. But, then again lots of machines can do that, the difference with this machine is it is loaded with features and represents in my opinion a good value for the money for those looking for a PI machine.

    Weight and foldable size as opposed to the 6000?

    • @ChrisRalph

      Neither detector "folds" (the SDC 2300 does fold). The collapsed length of the 6000 is 26.5 inches, the collapsed length of the Axiom is 25 inches. Both weigh about 4.6 pounds. Virtually the same for both.

    I love all three of my Axioms. They've found over 3x their price in gold. Far more... They beat the GPX6000 and SDC2300 by a large margin.. From sensitivity and depth, to very impressive ground balance.
    And for nuggets under an ounce, beats the the GPZ7000. Over an ounce, GPZ might sense deeper. But only if the ground chaos has been controlled. 😉

      The Axiom is a good detector.

      @@ChrisRalph it really is. With that said, I'd still love a GPZ7000 and a modded GPX5000 with a 32" coil in my arsenal though 😈. I have a few ranches I lease with quartz float that is scattered everywhere. One of them right by the Harvard mine has some of it over 6' deep according to what we found with a dozer cut, so it probably runs quite a bit deeper.
      I got an Equinox 900 a couple weeks ago and it's a nice companion to the Axiom for trashy tailing piles. I definitely like the 900 better than my gold monster 1000 & it finds gold about as small.
      I also run a couple 24ks but I'm about to pull the trigger on a gold bug 2 now that they dropped the price.
      I was warned about this when I first got into detecting, but I didn't get why I'd need multiple (not counting my carrot & Falcon pointers). But I get it now 😆.
      If you're ever down in Calaveras County feel free to shoot me a message on IG VelliosInnovations or FB Nikko Vellios & I'll show you some bedrock you'll chain yourself to like an environmentalist extremist saving a tree, you'll never want to leave, so many hiding spots for gold 😍. Maybe we can film a how to hunt bedrock show together. Sniffing out the smallest hiding bedrock gold & tertiary / bench gravels are my bread & butter techniques. Trashy tailings & open pastures of large float are still something I'm learning how to efficiently work. Anyways, the bedrock spot is my private property. But we can also take my sled upriver & hit some unclaimed spots most people can't easily access.
      Keep posting content, I definitely learned a lot from your channel when I was getting my feet wet. 🤙

    Sort of reminds me of the 5000 minelab smooth timings in a lighter box if it ignores hot rocks it will be a winner .i think its to expensive in Australia just under the gpx 6000 price i was told its around 7300 aussie dollars .needs to be around 5000 australian dollars , to get good sales.the gold is getting thin on the ground in Australia detector holes everywhere hundreds of gpx 4500 5000 on the used market lately and very cheap ,, imagine having that garrett in the 80,s and being the only guy ,you would make more money than a guy on wall street.

      Yeah, I have heard that the Axiom in Australia is very close in price to a GPX 6000, which is too bad. It will have a hard time breaking into the market there, for that reason and the fact that Minelabs are definately the preferred option there anyway. I suspect the higher price might have more to do with import duties than anything else.
