What do you do if your phone doesn’t pop up with that thing in the bottom left hand corner of the photo even if the only thing in the photo is your pet?

This worked great on my puppy but it can’t recognise my rabbits It only recognised 2 photos of them each I added almost all the photos it missed, but for some reason, in some of their photos it doesn’t have the option to add them as a pet, it only has the look up option And in one of the photos it thought my rabbit was a pitbull

I think it may take a few hours for iOS17 to scan all photos to find animals. Usually that's only done when the phone is charging. I have the same issue - going to check again in the morning.
I noticed that my iPhone 13 didn't update with pets until I plugged it in to charge with a physical cable. Even after several hours using wireless / Qi charging it didn't update. But it updated with pets within 30 minutes of plugging in a physical charging cable. Maybe a coincidence but worth a try.
