I love the more unpolished videos! Honestly so much more enjoyable than the slick, slow mo, choreographed and scripted videos. You are winning at this Fleur!
I have watched your channel for years! You are one of the only "original" UA-camrs who has stayed genuine and true to themselves and it is so refreshing to see. Loved this video x
Would love this as well! I believe her emerald ring is from Fenton and Co on Instagram. I know she did a collab with them a while back. They have gorgeous jewelry!
Fleur you are SO down to earth, normal and relatable and this is why I believe you are hands down the BEST British You tuber of all time 🇬🇧. Thank you so much for showing us your morning routine, it was so lovely to see your skincare and makeup. I feel like GRWM’s and Routines are oldskool UA-cam and that is what I personally love watching the most. I know you have been through a tough time and I can’t imagine what it’s been like for you but let me tell you that you are such a beautiful, kind person and a wonderful mother and wife. You are so real and genuine, you never seem fake or worry about trying to be perfect all the time. It’s rare in this day but you have always stayed true to yourself. Sending you, Mike, River and fur babies lots of love and positivity. ps Hope Squidge is ok ⭐️🌈🐾❤️🐶🐱 pps Hope baby Nigel is ok 🤣
yea not wanting to wash my hair every day is literally the only reason i don't work out every day, just that reason, no other, defo not my go to excuse (but for real tho long hair is a problem)
Braid your hair. I have longer hair now because of lockdown and braiding it stops it getting all gross whilst you work out. You need to put it in quite a tight braid but it helps massively.
@@fionaelizabethbrown Yeah, braids or buns are the way to go. If you have dry hair, a bun tight to the head (like a ballet bun type style) and workout, my hair always comes out so soft.
I love these type of videos, don’t mind at all that they’re more real time/life. And I wash my hair every time I workout, don’t like having sweaty hair
Loved watching this. Your morning routine is so much more put together than mine 😅. Also absolutely love Riv playing with her hair in the background as you straighten yours. She is so adorable!
LOVE when you do things on the fly 🤣. I find chatty little vlog/routines like this so easy to watch and lovely to see! I really don’t care for any kind of mad edits 😆 xx
I love your vlogs and have been watching religiously since this whole nightmare started. You seriously brighten up my day with your beautiful family. Bless you all and thank you for being so open and honest, raising awareness about miscarriage. So very brave. You deserve all the happiness and more! 🤍
I wash my hair with shampoo & conditioner once a week, but I do just wet my hair in the shower every day - and this also helps my hair feel cleaner after working out and sweating!
Hadn’t thought of this, by day 2 my scalp starts to get itchy and uncomfortable with product and sweat, that’s my issue. The ends of my hair are of corse, dry due to being highlighted.
I love the fact that this is so real and not so “set up”, more relatable. I also get up early to do my partner’s lunch and just to spend some time with him before he goes to work. However that’s where the similarities end my friend😆 cos I stay in my pj’s in bed with tea and the iPad watching UA-cam going nowhere near a Peleton🤪. I too get joined by my rather larger munchkin who plays Robloks/Sims till I end up getting cross that we should do schoolwork and she sulks off. And that is my morning routine👍🏼
By the way, I cut my hair with sharp paper scissors 🤣😅🤷♀️ Hey, it worked cause a stylist came to my house and said I did ok. Not perfect but ok enough. Lol
Fleur is one the people that seems like she is so put together and perfect. I always wondered what her life would look like as a mom. Like she cant possible do it all with a kid but hot damn she can! She has her shit together and is so efficient and on her game. I'm impressed!!
Fleur, I workout every day and use the Bumble and Bumble Pret a Powder Post Workout Dry Shampoo Mist and usually let it air dry because I don't currently leave the house lol. But before, I used to blowdry and style my hair just fine after putting the B&B mist in. I like it better than a traditional dry shampoo for sweaty hair, it refreshes way better for me!
With sweaty workout hair I’ll actually rinse about an inch into my hairline on my forehead and the nape of my neck then quick blow-dry (or air dry) and dry shampoo on the days I don’t hair wash. Feel like the little rinse off of sweat just into the hairline helps make it slightly less gross 🤷🏼♀️
Love love love this style of video, probably more than polished ones. It meshes well with your weekend vlogs while also changing it up a bit. River is so precious!
Best part of the weekend! ❤️ I run every morning so I shampoo every day!! The “your hair will get more oily” is a myth- sebaceous glands do what they want, like it or not- wash or not!!! And I get to try more products the more I shampoo! Stay safe!
Loved this, it was so nice to see your current morning routine - I've been watching for years & do really love this style. It was honestly was so lovely to watch while I got ready for my day. 😊
I workout every weekday, I run and/or do HIIT and I wash my hair every other day (I have quite fine hair). On the days I don’t wash my hair I just stick it up in a bun, desperately need a haircut 😂 I try and do a more bronzed glowing makeup on the no hair wash days to detract from my hair.
Love your explanation about the yogurt! I am working hard to reduce my plastic too but my kids aren’t eating great right now either and they love the single serve yogurt containers. Glad I’m not the only one!
Hair!! I have one of those towelling elastic headbands that I wear across my hairline. It soaks up all the sweat and prevents it from touching my hair!! And then just chuck it in the wash
Love the videos Fleur. Thanks for keeping it real. Have just become a new parent so can relate and to be honest I think these vlogs are even more enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work girl!
Actually I think I prefer your videos now even more than before, you have more life's joy in yourself now and it comes across! River is growing nicely!
Regarding hair washing, I wash it about 2-3 times a week as well for the exact reason you do. I hate having to restyle every day and wash! And I don't like blow drying often either
Don’t get down on yourself!! I firmly believe mums should know how good a job they are doing, cause we are all our worst critics! Well done making sure you are both fed! 😉👏🏻
After workouts I either put it up in a ponytail/bun (esp in quarantine) if not you can do the wash the crown hack where you just wash the crown and blowdry to keep it looking fresh if you have to go out etc...or I just dry it and add dry shampoo or texturizing spray and style it!
Loved this! I know the idea of just blow drying your sweat off your hair sounds gross before you get used to it but it really works, your hair doesn't smell bad or anything after it and it and keeps you from having to wash your hair all the time!
Dry shampoo for life! I work out almost every day and like you, only wash the hair 2/3x a week. I blow dry my hair after showering, add dry shampoo then blow dry again a bit to really set the dry shampoo in. Highly recommend.
Love seeing your puppies! Hope you're all staying safe and healthy xx Edit: I workout at least every weekday and wash my hair every other day. I do a mixture of yoga, weight training, and HIIT so I try to plan less sweaty workouts for non-wash days. Blow dry and/or dry shampoo on non-wash days when it's been a sweaty workout has worked for me, but I hate "sweat head" so I don't love it either.
Working out every day in lockdown and I also just wash my hair twice a week. All the dry shampoo and more updos! Thanks for sharing your morning routine.
I workout Monday-Saturday three times a day (so lots of sweat!) and I wash my hair twice a week. I dry shampoo it or just wear it up on the other days as I don’t mind it looking a little grim and no one sees me at the moment. When I work out I wear my hair in a bun on the top of my hair as opposed to a pony tail though as I feel my hair gets less sweaty in a bun xx
Regarding hair washing after a workout - when I workout I just pop my hair in a high pony so no hair is touching my neck or anywhere that gets sweaty. I then wash my hair around twice a week, or less if I can. If it gets super sweaty I will give it a quick blow dry and dry shampoo
Hi Fleur! I might be able to help with your gym hair! I have long wavy hair that gets very oily at the scalp but very dry at the ends. I workout every day most days twice a day, early in the morning and around dinner time. I currently fully wash maybe 2-3 times a week. I will pretty much always have it in some type of braid for my workout: French or boxer braid and I will sleep with the braids in. So say after my workout on Monday mornings I’ll take my braid out wash my hair, air dry then before the next workout put it in a braid ( I like mine pretty tight), workout and then hop in the shower to wash my body and just run water over my head so the sweat can rinse out a bit through the braid. Repeat for 2 days and then wash. I also use SLS and silicone free shampoo and conditioner. No dry shampoo for me as I find it itches on my scalp. Also I’m a very sweaty person when I workout I’m usually dripping in sweat
Love this!! Would be great to see a video on Rivers routine / meals as I have a daughter just a little bit younger and am struggling to keep her entertained and eating three healthy meals as she too is a picky eater!
I also have very long hair like yours. I work out at night and so I also shower at night so I don’t feel gross in my clean bed. So I wash my hair about 2-3x per week as well, 1st day hair done, and looks good, usually by the time i go to bed it’s not sweaty or gross. Second day i dry shampoo, 3rd day either washed the night before or top bun for the day
I'm with you Fleur, no time or inclination to wash my hair everyday plus its bad for your hair. Yes try to wash twice a week, 3 times max and a bit of dry shampoo inbetween to keep it going xx
Even though I‘m not working out every day I wash my longish hair every day. You can‘t beat the feeling of freshly washed hair. Love it, so I can’t bring myself to skip that step in my morning routine. And I really don‘ t enjoy dry shampoo. Tried it and instantly felt the urge to jump into the shower to get it off. Luckily I like wearing my hair natural so I just have to blow dry and brush it and that‘s me done with the hair. But hair care is obviously very important, especially if the hair is getting washed every day.
I work out 6 days a week and only wash my hair 3x MAX (days I have been running) unless it is super hot and then I need to do additional washes. I use a 'transparent' dry shampoo or one of those mousse wet shampoos and blow dry. It takes some getting used to and feels a little gross at first but I just make sure I brush my hair thoroughly when I dry shampoo and use alot of it. Also very keen to see what solutions others have!
This was good to watch, after 12 weeks in furlough my other half has gone back to work and I'm still home working. I feel like I need to find a new routine for the mornings.
I have long hair too and I clip it up then at the end of the shower I wrap the lengths around one hand (like you would roll up a ribbon) then pull it over to the side and only wash my scalp while keeping the ends out/dry. Btw your skin is looking so amazing and healthy right now!! You don’t need an ounce of makeup! Hugs to the doggies from me :)
I do something like this too when I don't have time for a proper wash. I put my hair in a low bun before I step in the shower and then I only wash the top of my head.
With the hair i have to wash it after a cardio session as I sweat out of my head when I run. For a strength day I tend to just leave it but if it is sweaty I’ll pop it in a bun and just rinse the hairline under the shower. Then I just let it dry naturally as it doesn’t take long as the heat from my head always dries my roots faster.
Thank you for sharing your day. Don't be apologising for it not being as polished as before. I loved seeing your every lockdown morning routine. Also River is just the cutest. I love her curls. Take care. Lx
I wash my hair every day! I know it’s not the best for it but with working out every day I just couldn’t go without. I do let it air dry a lot, especially in lockdown. In my opinion fresh clean hair that’s not styled is still nicer than dirty hair that’s styled (and doesn’t feel nice)! 😊👏🏼
Great video! About washing your hair after a workout, I think it's also just getting used to the feeling. It's really in our heads that we need to wash it every time, but honestly you don't. Let it dry, just go outside and after an hour or so, I swear you won't feel it anymore. Washing your hair every single day is really damaging your hair. I am to once a week, sometimes a challenge, but definitely worth the try! Lockdown is the perfect time to try anyways. :)
People find it weird to eat right away in the morning? That's what I have been doing my whole life every morning. I'm always hungry when I wake up. I don't think I have heard anyone said that was weird before. Isn't that what you do if you eat breakfast every morning?
I love this style of video, my daughter is a little bit older than River so I get the need for a routine in the mornings although mine usually goes out the window thanks to my 5 month old! As for hair and work outs, I just keep it up in a typical bun for a few days bit gross but everything else is clean and I’ll use dry shampoo if needed. Definitely yes to an evening routine! Hope Squidge is ok xx
That thermos is such a good shout! My partner takes his food to work and just leaves it room temp until he has lunch and it drives me nuts! Food poisoning waiting to happen! Cannot believe I didn’t think of a thermos! Thank you 😬
ANSWER to HAIR question : I feel like the more I spaced out my washes, the more my hair/scalp gets used to it and become less gross. haha. So, I just let it air dry but it's VERY dry here in Switzerland, not sure if I could do the same back home in Malaysia.
I wash my hair daily, even when I don't work out. But I don't heatstyle or blow dry my hair, I only comb it after showering and I use conditioner+leave-in conditioner. If I want something extra, I'll twist it into a bun for a few hours which gives it a nice wave when I take it down.
Fleur you should get the rotating organiser from amazon for your bathroom/room! It takes up a lot less space and makes it easier to get what you need and would look good in your bathroom x
Loved it and enjoyed seeing you go thru your skin care routine and make up. I hate washing my hair too often and have sweaty issues like you, but drying it and straightening it made it look good for you so I might just do that too! Ps: River is so cute and Squidge is a bootiful pupper!!!
Depends on the workout I’m doing. If I swam I always wash my hair, if I bike or run I rinse it in the shower and then air dry to help with the damage (long blonde dry damaged hair). I’ve noticed a big difference with less damage since rinsing instead of washing daily (down to washing every other or every third day depending on activities completed). I’m working up to triathlons so workouts are pretty frequent. Love the peloton app!
I work out 4 times a wk. Two at the moment are with my 10 yr old son doing Jo Wicks lol. I only properly wash it twice out of the four days. The other two I either just put my head under the shower (when I feel more sweaty) & rinse it out but don't use shampoo & conditioner, or I just get water on my hands & try & just get it on my scalp & roots without getting the rest of it wet (usually when I've done weights, so less sweaty). Fyi I have wavy, curly hair, so don't really have to do any styling. Emma x
I used to go to a specialist because I had pretty bad hair loss & he said sweat is actually so bad for your scalp ... I work out 2-3x a week but actually only wash my hair once or twice (I also have brightly coloured hair so to wash it more would not be great). So now I just take a little water & massage it on my scalp after each work out and blow dry or let air dry. Probably not the best but I haven't found a better option :')
Hi Fleur, well done at working out in the morning! I like to do it as well, go for a run or do a workout before going to work. In the past I worked out almost everyday. I only showered my hair 2-3 times a week (shampoo and conditioner) and the other times I kept it dry, or I only washed it with water.
For my hair and working out I just dry shampoo and leave it! I find that once the sweat dries and you put it dry shampoo it looks good! But I also have thicker, drier hair so I don’t struggle with oily/greasy hair.
I run every morning, and have long curly hair (so washing it every day is a no-go!), I rinse my hair (no shampoo!) in the shower, and that's it! I can get most of the grossness out doing it that way, and it keeps my hair happy!
Been enjoying all of your videos during lockdown Fleur. I hear ya with the long hair woes, I'm in the same boat and try to get away with only washing it twice a week. I've always had long hair but it's ridiculous right now. I feel like i'll be pounds lighter when I go for the chop on Wednesday.
I have long hair and it's thick, so I just stick to certain days to wash my hair. Like you, it's usually 2-3 times a week. I wash it Sunday evening and depending on how it's holding up, it's either Wednesday evening or Tuesday and Friday evenings. I hate all spray dry shampoos so I actually don't bother with it too much; it doesn't look as greasy as you think but if it needs a bit of help until the washing day, I'll use powder dry shampoo on the roots just in the front and tuck it into a bun or a pony tail until I can wash it again.

Please do a video explaining your jewellery, would love to see and hear where all your rings and bracelets are from!
I’d like to know as well. I am looking for a genuine emerald ring just like this it’s beautiful x
Would love this as well! I believe her emerald ring is from Fenton and Co on Instagram. I know she did a collab with them a while back. They have gorgeous jewelry!
yesss, an updated jewellery collection video would be great!

I know right?! The sweatiest ever! 😂🙅🏼♀️

I love the real life vibe! It’s so much better and more relatable than the old routine videos!
This style is so much better!! Plz keep it real, we love it!!
I love your jewelry! Said it before but i'd love to hear more about the different pieces and how you style them, your mix and match is so interesting.

I always enjoy watching all your videos, Fleur! Real life videos are my favourite because they are very relatable x
River has grown up so quickly. She’s inherited her mum’s natural beauty 😍😍
This makes my morning routine so inadequate! Just getting me and my little boy feed and dressed is hard work 😆
This is so me.

I’m in awe of how much you get done before River even wakes up!!! Good job mama. I would also love an evening routine :)
I love your videos, you guys are really so cute and naturally River is just like her mother❤️
Loved this! I know the idea of just blow drying your sweat off your hair sounds gross before you get used to it but it really works, your hair doesn't smell bad or anything after it and it and keeps you from having to wash your hair all the time!

Love that your still making videos so many original UA-camrs are gone. Love your videos always!
Yes, I do something similar - shower cap on the head with the bulk of the hair up and the front section hanging out to wash and blow dry after.
I do something like this too when I don't have time for a proper wash. I put my hair in a low bun before I step in the shower and then I only wash the top of my head.
Loved how mike kissed you when you said youre sweaty and grimed!🥰 love you both
Your videos are better than ever! I love them!
Take care. Lx
River is such a cutie, her eyes and hair 🥰 great video fleur, I need to find a better morning routine for myself. Love and hugs to you x
River's hair is so precious!!!
Fleur is the queen of eyeliner flicks!
You're my favourite UA-camr Fleur!! Just so natural and homely 💞
I can’t eat right after I wake up, I need some time! I don’t think this is uncommon
My mum can’t eat within the first few hours of waking up. She basically eats breakfast around lunch time. I need to eat as soon as I wake up!
Some people get nauseas if they eat immediately when they wake up.
My husband and son like waiting an hour or two before they eat. I need food in my mouth the second I open my eyes!
I never eat for the first couple of hours after waking up and my husband won’t eat anything until lunch time!
I’m happy to get videos from you, no matter how they’re filmed!
Love your videos Fleur! It would be so fun to see what you like to collect . Plates, books? It would be fun to watch!
Loved it and enjoyed seeing you go thru your skin care routine and make up. I hate washing my hair too often and have sweaty issues like you, but drying it and straightening it made it look good for you so I might just do that too! Ps: River is so cute and Squidge is a bootiful pupper!!!
I love that this is in real time! And that delivery was right on cue ;) Thanks for just being you! xo
Dry shampoo for sure. And I love your real life videos. You and your family are delightful!
Love your blog style videos. You have the most productive morning! X
Hi Fleur, well done at working out in the morning! I like to do it as well, go for a run or do a workout before going to work. In the past I worked out almost everyday. I only showered my hair 2-3 times a week (shampoo and conditioner) and the other times I kept it dry, or I only washed it with water.
I prefer this 'on the run' format! Thank you for the video.
wish i could wake up to happy pups like this 💜💜💜
For my hair and working out I just dry shampoo and leave it!
