Just a tip for future reference, instead of picking the badges off with the spatula a quicker and much safer way reducing possible chipping and indentation. You can use dental floss or fishing line in a "sawing" action...works well. Keep up the great work! Cheers

Good point! That's actually how I took the original badges off but with the glue used on the cheap eBay badges, I had to resort to the heat gun and gently prying up. They came off quite easily.

Is there any place to get black emblems/badging for the b8.5 RS5 these days?

Believe it or not, WD40 is great at removing the sticky residue, just leave to soak for a few minutes and wipe away. I wouldn't recommend using plastic tools to scrape away as this will scratch the clear coat and you will need to compound the paint. Correct method is to mask out the badge location, heat gun, dental floss (not plastic tools) to remove badges and goo gone or WD40 for the residue or an eraser wheel on a drill is really effective. Locate new badge on your previously made mask.

The plastic that they came in is a template if you had taken the double sided tape off and marked the boot lid where they are to be fitted to you don’t need to place each of them on separately

Thanks for the comment William, unfortunately, my badge stuck to the rear paper when I peeled it off and not the front plastic. Plus I needed to space them a certain way as I slightly marred my paint. But duly noted and I'll change the instructions and upload a newer version of the video.

No problem it’s not a criticism and I understand when I watched the video back I could see why you did it in the way you have I worked in jaguar Land Rover and the latter badges come in like that the operator uses a jig to line them wipes the areas where the badges are going to be fixed too up peel the backing off the badges and fixes them in place
