- Compression stockings help relieve the symptoms of varicose veins. They improve circulation and are a mainstay of treatment for varicose veins that are causing symptoms. Treatment of varicose veins is not always surgical. Early varicose vein disease can be treated by simple measures like lifestyle changes and stocking usage. But commonly, people have apprehensions on stocking use and are not consistent with the same. Because they fear the heat, tightness and itching. Also there are many questions like best fabric of stockings, class 1 or class 2 stockings, which company stockings are best, how to wash, when to replace, how long to wear and multiple such questions. Sir can u please tell me what is the difference between below knee stockings or above knee stockings . Does they both work same ? I have DVT in my illeo femoral vein . What type of stocking should i wear?
Ideal for your case is above knee stockings. Anti embolic stockings in initial phase and class 2 stockings after a few weeks. But you can get them prescribed by a vascular Specialist. And be under guidance.

In beginning, anti-embolic stockings. Later - class 2. Meet a professional for individual recommendation.

Who are facing this problem.
I would like to ask that I feel heaviness in feet whenever standing, but there are not varicose veins seen on my legs. I also concerned to a doctor in Teerath ram hospital named Achintya Sharma.
I am also done with venous doppler ultrasound, and in that ultrasound no DVT had seen. I face problem while standing only, and my ankle skin get discolored what should I do for this ?

No pain actually. Cost can vary from hospital to hospital and ward to ward. 1 leg vs both legs and many factors. Average 2 L + per leg

Completely on your symptoms. If you do not have leg swelling or color changes yet, you can pull a few years with lifestyles changes. Try the 15 min daily yoga regimen we have shared on our channel. Of course with good stocking usage and lege elevation etc.
Very nice information on stockings. My 20 yrs. old son are having varicose veins in both the legs from feet to thighs. We always insist him to put stockings but he does not listen. Just wanted to know what treatment is best suitable for him? Is surgery advisable?

Difficult to give generic answers to these questions
Let him meet a doctor and get scans done. He would prescribe anti-coagulant (blood thinners) and also vitamin tablets. If your son is active, does his exercise daily and move around then stockings not needed. He must wear it if he has desk job, sitting for 8-10 hours and when he travels in bus and train. He should use stockings if his leg swells and inactive. Also, if his weight is in control, active, then he can avoid stockings some times only.
Well no doctor would prescribe anticoagulants for varicose veins.

Unfortunately, DVT lead to varicose veins in my case (PTS) in the left leg and was prescribed blood thinners for long period and above knee class 2 stockings. I have desk job and site for 10-12 hours each day and does walking for 45 mins is the only physical activity.

Yes. Most cases at least for 90 days. Few cases - lifelong. After glue therapy (venaseal or venablock), it can still be reduced in many.

Sir mere father ke pair me dard or jalan ki problem ho rahi hai lekin calf veins me nahi pair ke front me jo veins hai unme ho rahi hai. Sir humne colour Doppler bhi karya usme dvt ki problem to nahi aayi but usme SSV ki problem aayi hai left leg me to kya sir usme bhi compression stockings pehen ni hogi ya only medicine kafi hai.
