I was looking for a temporary bedding solution for a my sis, her husband & child staying the summe with me while their home is under repair due to flooding. I didn't want to buy beds, futons nor air mattresses. I seen these beds online, some can be made into a couch for sitting - great for extra seating on my deck during family get togethers. I like how this can be dismantled for easy storage, portability and minimal care is needed to keep these clean. Your video helped me to make the decision to buy this. 😊

If you contact Disc o bed, you can get two single bags. This will drop the weight so each person can carry their own bed. I love this when I need just the one cot for me.

Question. I notice getting in you avoided putting weight on the frame, but getting out you were kind of forced to put weight on the frame. Has there been any kind of bending to the metal after years of use? Do you feel like you need to be careful getting in/out? Thanks!
I think it is built like a tank and they are still working just fine.

I'm hoping there is three bunk bed in one set and the overall height is still short enough to fit into a van. I don't mind the bottom bed to be close to the floor. If I want to get up I can just roll out of the bed.
I have seen days where rolling out of bed was the only way I could get out. Thanks for watching

Trust me, I have tested the capacity of the cot to the fullest.
I'm going to test the weight capacity at 350 lbs. Myself. It's rated up to 500 lbs.

What was the bracket you mentioned that you were going to add for the sway?
If you watch a little longer in the video you can see a short bracket that is on a 45 degree angle to the top bed. That really steadied it up.

Is the sleeping area really 40 inches wide not counting the metal bars on the side? Thanks
I did not put a tape measure to it, but I would say yes. I have a Teton Outfitter XXL Camp pad I use and it is inside of the bars. The Teton pad is 38" wide. I am a big guy, 6' and 350lbs and it is plenty wide for me. Hope that helps.
Have you tried setting the disc-o-bed up as a sofa? I've been comparing the heavy duty disc-o-beds, with the Teton Sports Outfitter XXL cots, and that's a major difference between the two, but I'm not sure how useful or comfortable the sofa setup is.
Sorry but I never have set it up that way. I am a big old boy so I figure it would be tough for me to get out of it set up that way. So I just use my chair. Thanks for watching.

Cadallin I have not tried it but I heard online before that it is very uncomfortable when in sofa mode, I don’t know for sure though. When you look at it , it looks uncomfortable without padding.
Nice review I just reviewed the XL. How much do those weight approximately the 2 cots and bag?
Survival Mindset I would say near 100lbs. Carrying them around us a two person job. That is one good thing about the XL I believe that come in two bags.
I believe I seen they're 89lb on the company website vs 62.5 for xl. I notice the 2xl also have 1200 weight polyester instead of 600 like the large and xl models

Looks too much of a tedious task putting them together, wish there was an instant pop up bunk bed for when you really want to sleep and you got a busy day ahead you can just pop the beds back down without dismantling and putting back in the bag. Is there such a bed like that?
Devine ministries if there is a bed like that it is a well kept secret. Now there are so me cots that are XL size to are not to bad. Teton is one of them. And actually these are not to bad. Especially after doing got a few times. I do like how comfortable they are and getting off my air mattress was not real easy for this big old boy. Thanks for watching

When you put food in your mouth, you have to chew...for some people that's tedious when their self-reliance ability shrinks....
This cot system is designed to be set up on day one and left until you are ready to break camp a few to several days later. Not much different than setting up a ten on day one and taking it down a few to several days later. I've seen some large tents (that can accomodate this cot system) that take a lot of time to set up.

Boy I wish I would have gotten that set up instead of the one I got from Cabela's. I got the xl big mans or something like that it has square stock on the sides with the corners facing up. I'm 6ft and when I sit on it my feet are probably 4 inches off the ground with edges of that square tubing digging into the back of legs. That is the worst design I've ever seen.
I like this one. I bought some Teton pads and I sleep like a baby on it. Thanks for watching
