Ford needs to return to the basics. Their current engineering is a failure. The F series truck are weak in their strength and the front suspension and control rods are not built for heavy duty use. I have replaced my front end 3 times on my 2010 F-350 4x4 plow truck. My 1975 F-350 4x4 plow truck has only been replaced once. Both are long boxes that require a carrier bearing. The 2010 has been replace twice, the 1975 is orginal. Their aluminum boxes are very weak, their steel boxes were much stronger. Also their current cost is way to costly to buy a new one and would even be worst than my 1975 truck. I am disappointed by all modern trucks. I plow snow, haul logs and lumber. Sometimes they haul 10,000 lbs on trailers. Also there are problems with their factory radios, thinner and weaker wires, and lack the best engineering. Ford needs to get it together to return to many older standards.

If they want to sell inventory they need to lower cost. The F-150 is overpriced. If they dropped price 15000-20000 they wouldnt be able to keep the trunks in stock. That is the number one consumer problem for them.
@robertspaid5974 Everybody says that. Then they proceed to walk by the $50,000 Truck and buy the $70,000 Truck. They are sending the manufacturers a mixed message when they say one thing and then do another.
@gravis2000 2023 Light Duty Vehicle sales were down 8.5% from 2019 and 13% from the All Time High in 2016. I'm just telling you what I'm seeing, the consumer is buying the more expensive higher trim level at twice the volume. This is not conductive to sending the message we want cheaper vehicles. The supply exceeds demand is the message the manufacturer is getting. The higher priced vehicles selling better sends the message we have overproduced and not overpriced.

This is classic greed. They thought they could keep selling sub par vehicles that most people can't afford. They need to go back to building quality, long lasting, and affordable vehicles. Their competition would crumble
If trucks weren’t 60 to 80 thousand they might be selling them. When it takes 14,500 to build one yet they are trying to sell them for 60,000 there will be an issue.
No one wants to be forced by their government or anyone else to buy something they do not want, such as EV’s. Talk about pollution, now we are making throw away cars. Who will buy a 10 year old car with low miles if it is going to need a $20,000 battery pack. You might as well drop it off at the junk yard.
I have been to the Ford and Chevy dealerships in my town. The Ford dealership looked like a ghost town. They didn't have a Ranger raptor, and even if they did , they are overpriced anyway. The Chevy dealership actually had quite a few customers. They had several Colorado ZR2s, and I saved about $6000 on a loaded ZR2 over the Ranger Raptor.

I say Electric Vehicles are a waste of money, if they was worthless in the late 1800's to early 1900's as a Horseless Carriage, they're pretty worthless now and cost more to recharge than a gas powered vehicle is to refill. Electric Vehicle needs recharged every couple of days, it's best to keep it on the charger if you're not using it though and costs as much as 5 tanks of gas under a good economy for a 20 gallon tank, plus even gas hogs with only 8 miles to a gallon last at least a full week on a single tank of gas.
