Pelikan M1000 Maki-e Dragon 2023 Limited Edition Fountain Pen

This is an unboxing of the Pelikan M1000 Maki-e Dragon 2023 Limited Edition Fountain Pen with comparisons to two other urushi maki-e fountain pens from Namiki (the Namiki Emperor Dragon) and Stylo-Art (the Asama maki-e Dragon). This pen was released as a limited edition of 123 pens world wide and is a fine addition to the Pelikan maki-e lineup and is timely as 2024 is the year of the dragon.

All three pens are beautiful How do like writing with the Namiki? That nib is a monster. I have quite a few Pelikan's my 900 Toledo is my most expensive model, but I really like the make-e editions too.

I really like writing with the Namiki No. 50 nib. Namiki nib quality control is second to none.
