I love the unique approach of this video. I never thought to look at the printing amount and the grading amount over the years. Love this channel. You do all the work and share your findings. You need a 100k subs!
Love the videos! Great stuff 💪🏼 But Base Set II is separate from base unlimited, Shadowless, 1st Edition, and the newly added 4th print (99-2000 print) on the pop reports. Base II is listed under 2000 Pokemon Game Base Set II. The other 4 are listed under the umbrella of 1999 Pokemon Game 👍🏼
Just started learning about this last week (competitive play also) to help guide my young kiddos… love the analytics. Happened to find pokemoncenter and learn about those ETBs last week, then happened to jump on the site the day Prismatic Evolutions was released and purchased one having no idea about the market and what was about to happen. Five days and 50 rabbit holes later, I’m refreshing websites and buying discounted non-PC ETBs so my kids have cards to play with while I heavily consider keeping the Prismatic Evolutions and Twilight Masquerade PC sets I purchased wrapped… 😂 You’re one of my favorites I’ve came across so far, love the market analysis and multi-lens evaluation of variables.
Agreed regarding the globalization of Pokemon. It's like the gold of the card collecting world. In pretty much any country you can find a place to buy/sell gold. Pokemon is similar. It has global appeal, unlike sports cards.
Quick question. Do we think that this boom of "investors" is what also crypto had ? all these people that wanted quick money and now the same people dont even bother with it? Or they are people that due to 151 found the nostalgia and decided to stick?
The best investment you can make is investing in yourself, so you can realize that personal growth and self-improvement are far more important than making money.
Are you never scared the market might crash, the people would move away from it or just you know, a massive conflict or epidemy or water shortage.... and people won't really have the funds for this kind of things... I really wonder if you aren't best selling everytime you can double your investment and re-invest instead of just buying a set quantity and let it sit for 20 years. Seems so much riskier. Like you need to be sure you picked the right stuff 20 years prior and have real trust in the future
Personally, I'm not scared about that prospect. I understand that the IP of Pokemon is not forever, but as of 2024, it is still a strong brand and still good to buy into moving forward. Nobody can say for sure whether Pokemon can be this popular in 20 years, but that is the gamble that one makes if one holds inventory for 20 years.

I love how you refer to the 1st edition cards as rookie cards. It's such a good metaphor for how people may view vintage down the road.
Hmm interessant
Agreed

I'm glade the PSA 10 Moonbreon was not on your list. I just listed mine on EBay to rotate into new PC ETB products :D
Great info! You are the first PokeTuber I have saw make a video with this great info in it. Thanks!
Awesome video my man, love to see it as always
Appreciate it, my friend!

PC ETBs are phenomonal collectibles, so many better price/pack products for opening keep them sealed! 🙏
Awesome video man!!!
Great Vid PikaPops👏👏
Appreciate your input

POP reports do matter. If the demand ever decreases, those with high populations will see significant declines in sale prices.
I love pokemon card collecting🎉😎 I also am saving and collecting for my children
RipnShippers have increased. Prorata with increased printing?
Sealed numbers wane with the above? Thoughts…..
Hey brother love the videos💯 do you think it’s worth grading sealed raw packets of evolving skies?
I'll buy that Cobb card. Lol. Jk. Excellent card 👍
How much do you actually have pika papa?

People will definitely be bothering with crypto in the next 3-4 months.

if pokemon crashes due to the economy, I bet stock markets and everything else too, at that point, nothing but survival matters
Thanks as always PPP!
