Brothers, I think our own individual monies we decide what we buy. Although we should not go to extremes like forcing others not to buy we can encourage each other to boycott. For eg: if google was helping them, we cannot boycott google it’s almost impossible. On the other hand HP computer company we can boycott and buy some other companies. Also we should not force others to not buy but we should encourage others to avoid as much as possible. That’s the least we can do for them. Oh Allah help us we are so weak.🤲🏻

The Hadith states the ummah is like one body and if one part is aching the whole body is sleepless and in pain. (Paraphrasing Hadith) so yes apart of preaching go learn your religion you should also try to learn your religion.

stick to The Scholars during the time of tribulation, knowledge doesn't pass to us without scholars. Sh suhaymi is one of the scholars, let us understand the speech of the scholars from the scholars not from laymen

Barakallahu feek. What is the actual meaning of boycotting? For example if an individual chooses not to buy certain brands, this is something he decides with his own choice and does not force it upon others or make judgements on others whether they buy or not buy American/ Jewish products. Alhamdullah shaykh ibn uthaymeen was clear , there are no obligation for what you buy and don’t buy regardless of the reason , shaykh al albani mentioned boycotting as well . Yes it could be more effective if the ruler facilitated it . However the effect is apparent to the point the media can not ignore it . We shouldn’t blame no one for not boycotting, it is not a fatwa for us to consider . Simply it is a choice , and it is working . And you are clearly hurting their pocket , means that you are able to Partake without a fatwa ….
No need to wait for fatwa to boycott, it’s your choice , no proof from the Quran and sunnah to indicate that .
This is a very deep topic imo
1) If one person doesnt do boycott there is no need to Shame him and act like he did a major sin
2) Boycotting in a muslim or arab country is different because it is owned by Arabs /Muslims and they directly aid Palestinians
3) If at all people are ready for Boycott for the sake of Palestine and Islam

So before you start building towers on a foundation of ignorance, learn some manners. The salaf learn manners before ilm.
Now to answer you allegations, firstly, the sheikh is not even talking about personally not choosing to buy a specific product aslan, he is talking about people calling masses to do that, and making agendas on it. Sure, in Kuffar countries it could be one thing, but in muslim countries this is supposed to be done by the ruler, other than that, you can eat or not eat anything you want.
Secondly, the burden of proof is upon the claimant. The asl is that everything in dunya issues is halal, until there is evidence otherwise. So those who are calling to mass boycotts of halal products in muslim countries have to present proof of it being obligatory or mustahabb to boycott in masses, not the other way around.
Another point to note that in muslim countries, products involve the lives and jobs of muslims, and the whole economy of the country. These are big decisions that are for the authorities.
Thanks for the reply most people calling for boycotts are in western countries and not the land of the Muslims. I stress my point and yours, it's halal till proven haram which the sheikh never. A franchise such as Starbucks and McDonald's has franchise money flowing back to Israel. The market decides if the Muslims do not want to endorse these franchises then Muslim businessmen should open their own brands etc. Ironically it was the Muslim consumer who made these brands popular in the first place!

I have heard Shaykh Salih’s statement regarding this but where is the proof for what he is saying? I failed to see anything from the Quran or sunnah or statement of the salaf to support his views. Who amongst the salaf have the view that shaykh Salih is presenting? Please clarify

Because people are making it haram to buy from certain companies. They are making takfir of us yet they themselves are rulling by other than what Allah revealed by making haram what Allah did not. And why some people dont boycott in muslim countries, because these companies are franchises so they are owned by muslim in muslim countries ; no money would ever go to that state, it would only harm the economy in the muslim lands
So if the rules allow free mixing, drinking and Halloween, an individual can blame the rulers and make it halal on themselves.
And yes, if he doesn't consider it halal, he still can't ask others to stay away from such, because the ruler knows what is right and wrong and has allowed those, while he knows it not, although clearly stated in Shariah

Shaikh Uthaimin rahimahuLlah actually said that he was saddened that no country helped the new islamic country tjetjenie by f e boycotting. He spoke when its coming from leaders. This is non sense argument. Ford car or furnitures are bought when harm aggression was not on. Now situation is different and time dictates accordingly. Yes stop buying Ford and furnitures now on until you achieve something some impact. Plus need over luxury.
