It's funny how you both talked about being sure that Aelin and Rowan were platonic because I thought the exact opposite. When SJM said like 3 times in two chapters how *not* related they actually were I knew the romance was inevitable.
SOOO you can still get access to Queen of Shadows and Sarah had been rewriting from the beginning such as changing how long Celanea spends in the mines (originally 3 years). Also in the today show interview back when HOSAF was about to come out Sarah said that a fourth Crescent City book in part of her new seven book deal but it's maybe third or fourth in line right now.
As I was reading the TOG I understood it like this - Maeve needed Aelins mate to be enslaved to her so Aelin would have to join Maeve too and protect her (as someone else in the comments said). But Rowan wouldnt join Maeves cadre willingly, it wasnt who he was, so she had to break him. Made him belive Lyria was his mate so she could kill her and that got him in a state of mind in which he would join the cadre
Sorry commenting as I'm watching. I think the reason she sent Rowan to train Aelin is because she thought having Aelin's mate as her first would ensare Aelin to be on maeve's side and protect her from the brothers. Unfortunately for maeve Aelin outsmarted her and threatened to burn her people.
Is the Aelin/Rowan thing confirmed? What about the sexy biting scene in HOF? Or the blood oath at the end? It almost seems like she changed her mind while writing it?
Pretty sure Jesiba being 2nd in line is mentioned in the first book. I agree with most of your points though. HOFAS was definitely her weakest book. The Sigrid storyline ended up being completely unnecessary and a weird choice.

Also, 27:04 why did everyone leave Victoria at the bottom of the ocean? I kept thinking at some point they would go on a recon to find her?

Love this!!! But how would Maeve have known that aelin and Rowan were mates in the first place??? Isn’t the bond only revealed to the two people??

I wish the Selene story line had been a flashback or something. The hologram was insane.
Also, what was the point of Roland in TOG? He really served no purpose. Was he supposed to have a bigger storyline?
Yahhh it’s Monday ❤
I think him and Mor are mates and it's more of like Rhys' parents where (for obvious reasons on Mors side) it's not the right match
