- The M4 Competition gets some changes from BMW. On the outside you will discover forged wheels, quad-tip M performance exhaust and carbon fiber trunk spoiler. On the inside you will be greeted by a full leather interior, and new infotainment/digital gauge displays. Under the hood is a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 BMW M4 Competition a BETTER performance car than a C8 Corvette?

Tanzanite Blue shines so beautifully in the sun and the wheels compliment the car nicely. For me it's hard to choose between this and the C8!
You should have placed in sport plus mode when you revved it up. You would have heard the pops. They only pop on sport plus

I have a blue 2016 BMW (don't laugh) 228i X-drive convertible. So yeah, I'd love an M4 convertible. I saw a black one in Scottsdale and the "schnoz" was not a deal breaker. The big tacked-on screen? Huge zonk for me. Give me a gauge cluster. And from personal experience I have doubts about how that screen will hold up in the Arizona heat. Thanks for another great video, Joe.

Love the tanzanite blue. Believe it or not, tho, my Pontiac years ago was indigo blue metallic, which was even a richer shade.

I'd put BBS LM-R wheels on that M4. Swap out those factory brakes for Willwood and add a supercharger and a Remus exhaust

I've had my 2024 M4 Comp for about 5 months now and the excitement driving it hasn't worn off a bit. I will make any and all excuses to drive it any distance lol.

The Corvette is a 2 seat sports car. The M4 is a 4 seat sport coupe. Not in the same segment. The Mustang GT better matches the BMW.

Just curious, what’s the differences between the “competition” & “performance” models?
Comp models are more or less the performance models with more power/the most ppwerful engine,better suspension for track and etc, and has the best features of any trim.
Are you on “M1/M2” mode?
Looks like when you upshift the rpm are too low
I like it all, really LOVE the car but for 2 fatal flaws. The cheap large display looks horrible, I would want a binnacle with gauges and switchgear to change temp etc, and of course the front grille which has never grown on me a bit and looks like gigantic window louvers and with the chrome version looks like "testes" or so they say.

I have an M4 convertible. I love driving with the top down when the weather is nice. It changes the personality of the car and seats four comfortably. Harder to do that with a hard top.

M3/4 grew on me. M2 tho is beyond hideous.
The front end never was bad, it was just jarring when it came out since it was different (on the M3/M4). People never really liked it on the IX and 430i though. If you still aren't over it, that would make you part of the minority!
