Very labor-intense, but the result is awesomly precise!
Well this is a lesson learned to do my research before doing something! I've spent almost a month and a half doing rivets with super glue and a sewing needle, wasting so much time and I barely made any progress. I'm so glad I found this. Hopefully this can save me allot more time and make up the time I lost. This is a brilliant method
Ah Man😮That Sucks to hear Fiberrabit!..Glad You stumbled across this tutorial and hope it Helps!..out of curiosity what were you working on?
@@JeffReiten I'm really glad I came across this aswell! It's really helping me out allot, saved me so much precious time. Also for my project, I'm building a 1:600 scale model of the rms oceanic (1899). I had to make every single plate and porthole, now I just have to add all the rivets lol 😅
@@fiberrabit8229 😧😬😄.Glad to hear its helping!....looks like a Cool project - just pulled up some pics
This is the most brilliant method I have seen so far. Inspired to use this ASAP.
Love it! Thank You Timothy!!
A useful way of doing it for steel structures. I make rivets with a beading tool. Good stuff man.
Brilliant- now just need to find a project where I can try this out! Thanks.
Lol..Thanks Trevor
this is saving me so much time (and money), thank you.
Awesome Northern Cross!!
Truly brilliant!
Thank You Matt!
That is excellent Jeff !
Thanks Harry!
Total Awesomeness...
Thank you.
😁☺
THAT'S FANTASTIC!
I'm vaguely familiar with part of the concept, but I've never done it in such small scale.
I've been tinkering with car/truck bodies for slotcars in 1/32 and 1/25 scale.
I'm pondered building an older stock car lookin thing (pickup truck) with a tonneau cover, and the full "aluminum" treatment (spoilers, etc).
I would only do it with the appearance of riveted Aluminum though.
I can handle 1/25 scale.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks Tony!...Sounds like a Fun Project and Nothing Beats the look of all those rivets in Aluminum!
Great scale hack my friend
Thanks John!
Wow,master.
Thanks jose!!
if on armour say though you get a lip edge of tinfoil so its gonna look messy, but I would punch out rivets of tinfoil and glue them in place seperatley
perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You Admilson nunes!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats the way i made rivets in the last years, then i see my wife using "rivets" from the nailart shop for the fingernails.........
you think this would be poissible to do on a 1/350 scale ship ? I might be crazy but I might give it a try
Hey Mike!..I have done it with great success on N Scale 1/160th ...I have also used basic etching to create the holes in .005 brass for the smaller scales instead of drilling....I think if you can create the spaced holes it will work...let me know how it goes!
Any tips on make loose individual rivets?
Hey ikkiiieee!!!..I've experimented with a number of ways and have never really like any of the results so basically for loose rivets I buy them from Tichy Train www.tichytraingroup.com/Shop/tabid/91/c/ho_nbw--rivets/p/8017-020-diameter-rivets/Default.aspx or rivet decal sheets www.micromark.com/O-scale-decals-with-raised-3D-rivets-and-other-surface-details?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8O-VBhCpARIsACMvVLPS6Gb4PT96XyDSaOIUJIVv4U238znDNM-oe39g_Gsj9lrU_lnbj-QaAknQEALw_wcB
Well done! Who does the music btw?

Can’t find any tinfoil in my area, can I use aluminium foil?
Hey Bruce! Yep..I should have added both names we just tend to call it tin foil up here but it is technically aluminum foil...Heavyweight Aluminum foil works the best but regular will work
😁
Do you count them?
😃 Of Course 😆
OCD heaven
;)
