Chinese are not good at athletics at all, that guy basically takes part in decathlon ,heptathlon and pentathlon events , he at first used to play some table tennis matches for a local club, he is very inconsistent at long jump

I loved seeing a decathlete break into the world championships in a single event
Majority of decathlates are specialist in some events especially in long jumps like Jackie Joyner , Bryan Clay , Ashton Eaton , Warner , Ehammer
Some are specialist in throwing events like nikolas paul , Roman Seble
The french guy was specialist in pole vault

same as shot put, javelin, discus, hammer, triple jump, and probably others

He had some issues with cuban government so he wanted to switch his nationality for spain like Pedro pichardo ( play for Portugal) , jordan diaz ( spain ) but Cuban government wasn't agree with his decision and didn't give him permission so he retired from athletics and now working in a factory

He must be disappointed. But he should at least take a photo with the other two medalists. His personal best is not a mile better than the others. He won the Tokyo Olympics gold medal by second best jump and that Cuba guy was injured.
According to the Greek interview, he was satisfied with the result. He was very consistent with every series of jumps. Wang just happen to make an unexpected jump on his last attempt. He has no control over it.
The 2022 silver medalist is the best long jumper in the world in the last 4 years. He is very consistant and he usually wins the gold medal. He has won everything and today 24-8-2023 became world champion with a 8.52m jump. In addition he is worldwide known for his humble and great character!
Horrible commentator. She's unable to mention that Masso was Bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics and that the Swedish guy missed gold by overstepping the board by a centimeter. The Chinese guy makes the jump of his life, clearing beating out Tentoglu against all odds, and she goes like: "OK, that looks like a fine jump". Clearly out of context everywhere.
