I haven't thought about my underdrive pulley in a long time. I think I paid $300 for 8hp to the tire from SLP back in the day. That was a common mod back in the early 2000's. Think it was the first mod to my Camaro. Kids got it so easy these days. Weren't many budgets performance option's It was almost10k for just H/C/I That was fine for hunting fox bodies But in 03'-04' when them terminators came out. Them 243s and ls6 intake just weren't enough.

Thank you. Unfortunately I didn't make a porting video. I should have. As far as the difference, it does have a little better throttle response. It's not like a 100 shot of nitrous though lol. Wish it were!

BTW you said in this vid that you had added the slp lid and filter and maybe something else, and you wanted to test your mods as you went along. Im wondering what my slp lid, with kn filter, and smooth bore bellow, (mine already has the LS6 intake manifold, its a upgrade for 2000, 1999, 1998 and supposed to give a pretty good increase in hp and torq) and also a power programmer. Im not sure if I have a upgraded exhaust on my ws6, have not seen beneath the car and dont know what the code may be if there is one for upgraded exhaust. But its almost as loud as my 95 ta with flowmaster cat back american thunder series but still may be stock... anyways... do you know what my RWHP might be?

  • @454bigblock

Ok here's your first problem, your original pulley has no keyway to match up timing Mark's etc with Underdriven pulley. Your Underdriven pulley can now spin free under high load. Unless you pin or machine a keyway on the crank.
So you run the risk of spinning the pulley loose. Really stupid, rookie mistake which will lead to failure
