This morning I took a walk around Apo Market in Angeles City Philippines. Sadly the amount of vendors have declined from years past. Apo Market is open only on Fridays.

Hey Brian my dear friend, this market is really huge. There's all kinds of different things to see and buy. It's really amazing that during the week that it's regular streets. Unfortunately, things always change. Some changes are good, and some changes are not good. Things will never be exactly like they were pre pandemic. Those puppies were really cute. And you are right, you definitely have to be careful, and you have to learn to say no thank you. Appo market is really pretty cool. I will be visiting this market soon. There's quite a bit of traffic going through. It's cool that some of the people are giving shout outs.😊 The only way to find your way around is to get lost. It's funny when people tell you how to pronounce a name. Thank you Brian my dear friend for sharing this awesome video. Man, this place used to really be crunk in 1989. When I was there, you could hear the music from all of the clubs down those streets. Women galore used to be out getting men to come into the clubs. They used to bbq on damn near every corner. It used to smell so good down there. They had some really good bbq chicken and ribs back then. At night, lawd!! It was just so fun and lit up. You could get laid 3-4 times a day and night if you wanted to just from buying the women a couple of drinks and talking to them. They would come back to your room and spend the night with you if that’s what you wanted. It appears now that it has become way more conservative than it was in 89.

@@JackLondon12 It was man. I was out there for 30 days and been with 42 women. I’ve never bar fined a girl. They had different regular clubs out there that you could go to. At that time they loved being with Marines. I could go sit in a club, normally either the bar or at a table. They just come by and start talking to me. I would have her or them come sit with me and buy them drinks. In the regular clubs, you didn’t pay extra for their drinks, you paid the regular price. I had 2 of them once come back to my room and spend the night with me. The next morning I would probably give them $10-$20 bucks. I missed that Mark. I didn’t want to leave.

What you said :) ---- for me, go to the phillipines and go away from the touristic areas.. go into provinces.. there you can see and feel the real philipines.. Me, i go to Davao and GenSan.. both was very special to see and compare the difference between a political city (Davao) and a (Tuna) City.. was so nice for me ti see both sides.. in the city and also around in the provinces. Be Aware also in market places. even its province, take an eye on your belongings.. most are friendly!! and also help if there is trouble.. but you know, there are also people that are not nice to foreigners, like in every country!
Angeles city is a tourist center. You want to get away from tourists get away from angeles

My parents used to take me these big public markets and walk around for a long time and I get dizzy and tell them. Because I was getting hungrier and hungrier and didn't have a good breakfast. Everybody likes to shop but I'd rather do it with a full stomach or walk around eating something.

I was there before Pinatubo blew. Angeles city was a true 3rd world city with bar after bar outside the main gate to Clark AB. Take a right and nothing but bars snd girls.

Haven't been in the PI since I was stationed in Subic Bay 1964-1968. Went Angeles city but it was less active and smaller than Olongapo. Things have changed drastically since the close of Subic Bay and Clark Air base. I may make it to the PI in 2023.
