For those of us that need the mirrors to be a little wider but want to stay O.E.M. you can order mirrors for the Honda C125 Super Cub. They are exactly one inch longer than the Honda Monkeys mirror. They cost $12.00 each from Honda.
That’s super good to know thank you. On one of my scooters I just put bicycle mirrors on the end of the handlebars. I don’t mind chopping up a Chinese scooter but I’m not gonna chop up a fine piece of Japanese work like a Honda. I’m gonna look into those mirrors
Beautiful bike. How is it on the groomed trails and dirt roads. I had a 70 mini trails 50 and ct 79 in the early 70 s. And trying to decide between this bike or the trail 125.
Nice video mate.and greetings from UK. I'm older than you (57) but l8ving in Dubai in the 70s ( when it was a desert outpost) , like you had a Z50J to ride over the dunes and like you HAD to have one of these. Enjoy!
Yo man , congratulations ! I have the same , 2020 model year . Of my 3 bikes - It’s usually the one I choose to ride . I’m 250 , I’ve had mine up to 58 mph . Enjoy your awesome little bike !
@@officialwaybackwhen I actually was going to get , Trail 125, but absolutely can't find one. Still!! When you do find one ,, they want crazy money. Well guy, your cool vid, pretty much got me. I'm a big dude too. From Northern Wisconsin. Hope you post more videos. Your good at this, and the right age group!
@@1972mercurycougar I talk to my dealer yesterday about the trail 125 he said they’re not coming in and they have a long list of people waiting to get one: getting ready to do some custom upgrades on the monkey. I’ve been tinkering with the gearing lately. I think I’ve settled on a sprocket configuration. I’ll make some videos pretty soon
One of my bikes is a 2020 Honda Monkey. I’m 6 feet, 235 pounds. It handles my size and weight just fine. I ride it both on and off road, but prefer it off-road. While on-road, I prefer roads 45 MPH or less, but I’ll take it on roads up to 55 MPH for brief distances, though I keep an eye on what’s going on behind me more judiciously. I’ve had it up to about 62/63 MPH, but that’s typically downhill. This is with a 14-tooth front sprocket. On a flat road it’ll do 55, less going uphill. The 14-tooth front sprocket helps to hold speed better going uphill. That said, it’s a great bike. Love riding it!
@@branislavgostiljac4743 I think the longest stretch I’ve done on it during one ride was 65-70 miles (probably more like 65). 50 miles of that was off-road. But I felt I could have kept going.
Today bought a leftover '21 non ABS Blue Monkey. Just like yours, love it!!
Love mine to
I had a trail 70. Abused it and it never quit. I was only 11 or 12 but I had fun.
We need another video on your cruising on the Monkey!

Supper good, it’s just a little high geared.
I think reconfiguring the sprockets would make it better
@@officialwaybackwhen thank
You for your feedback. Your are right. I did hear new sprockets would greatly help on trails.

I’m 65 and want one. Probably only ride it once in awhile the back is not what it was in the 70s when the original ones came out.
it is the most useful toy I ever bought, :D
That’s a good way to put it :)
They sure are fun little machines !
Love it , Trail 125, 4speed semi-auto, like your z50 clutch. Has a kick starter too!!
I will eventually own one of those super hard to find at the moment
