actually it matters a lot I'm a noob and i find using vordts hammer if I up my poise with its weapon art I can attack without being interrupted by other enemy attacks
weapon arts that give poise work like they should many heavy weapons have hyper armor so they are difficult to interrupt mid swing poise from armor and stats are worthless in this game
I really like the Pyromancer class because I feel like it's got a good balance of stats that allows you to become either a powerful spellcaster with good melee, a powerful melee fighter with good magic, or somewhere in the middle
The Mercenary has the most useful starting weapon (Sellsword Twinblades) by a long shot. It's extremely fast for short R1 attacks, meaning you can dodge or turtle more easily against bosses while steadily getting their HP down, and the L1 two-handed combo is brutal for killing common enemies before they can react. And it actually has incredibly high damage rating, even in the endgame, if you have a dexterity or quality (40/40) build. If you haven't started as a Mercenary, you can pick the Twinblades at Farron Keep. Sharp infusion, no questions asked.
the damage per second is nice it really is. but most people would want to tank attacks so they don't have to using healing potion as much. just go for resistance and exile armor set is good for poise and the resistance. sure you loading more than any other stat for most of your time. but it's worth it later once you can finally build a stat for weapons and health. so you can tank aaand do more damage per second for fast weapons. you would look silly but you get kinda crazy results for game+ runs. once you get the buffs going on top of all of that. my 1st game sucked because I was only thinking doing more damage. than my 2nd game years later and used this build. than boom I finished the game much more faster and wasn't stuck for 2 or 3 hours. yeah...that's how sucked my 1st run was. lol
So this video has *NO* spoilers past the first boss, it only contains the first tutorial area and starting classes. Hope all of your Dark Souls 3 copies are arriving and everyone can finally play together! See you on the battlefield ;) There's also a link to a build optimiser in the description if you're interested in that.
+SunlightBlade im prettty sure and i might be wrong, but doesnt respec work like dark souls 2? in which you can only put a stat to as low as the starting class? or has it changed?
+SunlightBlade Seems like I'll be going with the Knight once again, I wanted to go with pyromancer but my research indicates the Pyro hand isn't too far into the game, so I think I should stick to learning the melee ropes before going into magic... I played DS1 and 2 but I can never say Im good at the game, Im just mediocre at best XD

See here’s the thing sure pyromancer has less health and slightly lower melee but he has a ranged attack that’s bad ass. You know how he struggled with Iudex. See with the pyromancer you can do this one or two more times after he transforms and then you can just hang back throwing fireballs but still being careful.
thanks for the video!! I really like how you guys went against the first boss on every class and showed us the difference in an encounter instead of just talk about and have the chars wave or some boring shit. Thanks for the quality content! :D
osriccauldwyn I started with a Pyromancer since I just got the game a few days ago. 8 hours in I kept getting wrecked by Vordt so Im restarting with an assassin.
Scorpion Sub-Zero if you found the dark element axe by entering the door below the fire breathing dragon, you would of easily defeated the vordt dog. Why? Because his weakness is darkness
+Szabó Róbert If you have a Nvidia card, go to the Nvidia control panel, go into Manage 3d settings, and pick Dark souls 3. Now scroll down and turn Virtual pre-rendered frames/images down to 3d. Hope that helps :)
I actually found my Deprived to be one of my bests. If you can make it past Gundyr, then the fact that it starts at level one means that you'll be able to get more levels right away due to them being so cheap, and since all your stats start at 10, it puts you at a somewhat decent place to start building it into whatever you want!
the attack sucks. but once you get other weapons and build armor. you can just go for any type of build you want after. and it really doesn't take that long like you point out. the only reason I see most people wont pick it. is because you start off with weak gear and no armor. some people that likes a challenge would pick him as a starter class. me all 10 stats IS a good start plus level 1 the the lower the level the more cheep. I like that idea annnd it's a much better starter in DK3 than it is on the older games. because you have much better options to pick from early game. the other 2 older games is actually harder. because in the 1st game you always get hit by 2 or 3 enemies than get hit by ranged attacks. 2nd game...your weapons just die off SO fast and THAT is what I hate most about that game. you just spending to much souls on weapons more than trying to get your stats going. sure I liked the healing stones. but come on why would they do that to a game that was already hard as is? 3rd game is actually more relaxing and replayable to me. I'm trying to get through the 1st game. but I already give up on the 2nd game because of the weapons thing. spending to much healing and getting weapons to really progress any faster. doesn't help that it feels like a maze. making you kinda forget where you meant to go because of the game stress. but sense I'm getting more relaxed I well just go back to it if I beat the 1st game. one last thing. I do wish they keep the whole upgrading your armor for all of those games. that actually makes up the whole keep spending your souls on weapons thing in the 2nd game. also it would make less grinding for levels for the whole loading thing and help build the other stats much faster and progress much faster. don't like the idea I have to spend weeks to beat one game when it's not even an open world. yes I know there buffs and all that other stuff. but that would mean I have to spend even more time on that while I'm trying to build my stats up to even use them in there full potential. plus more hours just to fight bosses that could have taking me less than an hour to get. because DL3 in reality is shorter to beat if you skilled enough. most of us are not "no damage" players. so it can get boring after awhile of grinding and getting items, spells and gear. to starter players playing a game like that is like the same as play old world of warcraft. back when you need a group and takes longer to level to progress out of one town. not only that but also "master" ranks that would also take awhile to level to even hold anything better. yeah that old version of the game is much longer than just progressing through dark souls at the time. but damn it does feel like that if you are a type that gets bored easy plus a starter.
It's always worked as intended, people just didn't figure out how it worked due to it being changed. It affects do you get staggered while attacking or not.
I'm totally new to Dark Souls, so was a bit daunted by all the different classes at first. Great video, detailing all the different classes, glad I chose the Knight now!
Best class for parry gods/noobs destroying Gundyr: Assasin. Best class for overall usefulness/least limitations early on: Knight. Best class for respec: Deprived becuase you have the least restrictions level wise My favorite class? Warrior.
As a fairly unskilled newcomer to DarkSouls 3, I found that the Pyromancer was the best class for me, due to the fact that I start with a ranged magic attack, because I can pick off hard bosses from outside their attack range, and it's usually a one hit kill for most normal enemies. I find myself using it quite often when I want to get the drop on an enemy or pick off a boss from a semi safe distance.
Sorcerer is really good for defeating Gundyr. Literally just soul arrow and run. I actually defeated him without getting hit and DS3 is my first Souls game.
Wow, here I though Deprieved will be the go to class since is already starts at level 1 and all it's stats are 10. Thanks for making the video Sunlight and also putting that calculator link too.
It's a shame poise makes zero difference in this game, no matter what your poise is pretty much every enemy can stunlock you =/ feels like a major oversight to me, not to mention the armor you wear makes nearly zero difference too given the highest base armor stat is 150 and then absorb % is taken into account, but every single armor in the game gives the exact same armor base stat, you can wear rags and have the same base stat as haval's >.< Absorb does make a bit of a difference but after 20% it's pointless tbh as it's just diminishing returns! I love this game but I really dislike how they've done the armor values :P
+Wolfbane Hyperarmor frames activate so late into a weapons attack animation that it makes no difference 95% of the time. Hollowslayer is so popular because it's one of the few weapons that has early Hyperarmor frames.
I went with deprived and beat Gundyr on my first go when I was expecting to get walloped a dozen times. Turns you have a lot of mobility when you're in your undies.
The Knight class is what I've chosen since the first Dark Souls and the knight is what I will choose this time around. I strive to be a knight with an I breakable will!
I cant play this game as i have no ps4 or a good PC,I tried downloaded and cant run it with my shitty laptop. So i download the firelink ost and cry every night until i fall sleep.FML
+AlexP I feel your pain. I, too, thought that my CPU was too small. But then I overclocked it. Now it works and I feel like a genius. But there is a nice added sense of dread when, as well as dying in the game, you always have to fear that your pc could catch fire aaaaaany time now.
Something else to note about the thief-he starts with the iron round shield, the best small shield in the game-100 percent physical damage absorption, stability on par with a lot of medium shields, and short parry start-up frames.
And here I was able to comfortably beat Iudex Gundyr first try with the Thief and without using any Firebombs....when I'm very much accustomed to *Strength* builds rather than Dex.
Did you forget that deprived has the higest stats while still being level 1 also the part of being the weakest starting class makes it the strongest instead since the added risk increases your concentration and you start being untouchable and parrying everything
Nice vid! I actually wanted to go off the vid again as I was more looking for a comparison of all character classes rather than only the top three but then I realized you actually did that! 😅 I appreciate the effort!
i will say, pyromancer for life here, 1 point in dex, and im able to wield an astora straight sword, put it raw, and just upgrade it normally, and you will have to put alot of points in str to surpass an equally upgraded weapon for at least the first third of the game. you start with the fireball, meaning you can just throw a (small) area grenade that will deal alot of damage to alot of enemies. you get the axe, a good weapon to start with, and it had the warcry skill. you can grab and use a silver kite shield without any stat investment, so you can have a great shield, expecially if you go for sorceries, since you will be able to powerup your staff. pyromancer's only ault is its starting armor, and endurance, but put a few points in there, enough to wear a good armor, and you are pretty much set to go whatever way you want.
My starting class will actually be chosen in a very unique way. I will be picking the option that will get me into the coolest top 10 videos on this channel, and im thinking thats the thief... XP
Deprived is the best one for the long run, you get the most customization with your class since you start at Soul Level 1 Knight is the most consistent and helps out starters Cleric assists people who want to play defensively with its extra heal and shield stability Warrior is similar to knight but the axe’s moveset takes a tiny bit more skill to know the timing Herald is the best class for 1 on 1’s since the spear can be used behind the shield Thief is good if you can fish out some backstabs, parries are a bit too risky for its overall setup, the bow also helps to do some chip damage Sorcerer is the best ranged, I’d say avoid this class unless you want a sorcery only build and keep in mind, you will have to spam the 2 spells you have for the most part of the early game up until the 3rd area of the game where you meet Orbeck(sorcery merchant) Pyromancer is decent overall, it doesn’t specialize too much in anything but the pyromancy helps out to take out a few enemies or to damage bosses from a distance
deprived being a better class in the long run is a myth, starts with the same amount of stats(every class starts with 99 points spread across their attributes) and you aren't minmaxed, wasted stats across the board. jack of all trades isn't the "best one" for a souls game
In DS2 if you use the Soul Vessel you can only reset the points you put in your character. So, in this case, the assassin with 14 luck points would stay with 14 points. Unless the Soul Vessel works differently in DS3, choosing the assassin for the luck points to later on reset them wouldn't work.
+Hypertension777 a deprived with stats 10 and lvl 1 would be OP yes xD unless you had a rotten arm or something crazy like that that would block you from using some mid-heavy items :p should be fun
I can attest to "never start thief" **unless you know what you're doing. I started thief on a blind playthrough. I saw "oh look soul level 5, this is like starting pyromancer in Dark Souls". God I was horribly wrong.
+draconic33 I started thief my first time ever playing Dark Souls, when it was given out for free on 360 almost 2 years ago. I couldn't beat Taurus Demon. For months I would sometimes get on and try again, then fail. About 4-5 months later I finally beat it, and from then on Dark Souls has been my favorite game series.
Damn I just find out about your vid after starting NG+ and wound up looking every other of your vids lol. Currently at level ~180 Good channel, interesting content plus really exciting material and presentation. Like how you enjoy playing your games. Cannot wait to see others! Good job mate, keep it up!
@@gavinimel4530 The lock on system is deceptive. A lot of time for larger denies I prefer to run free. For example the crystalized lizard monster you can find in the tutorial, I beat it with the mailbreaker as a sorcerer. I never locked on, I just ran around it without using a dodge. Same thing with gundyr. He's a large enemy and I found it best to run around him without locking on. Try to stick to his rear and let the wide swings of your sword hit him. In the second half of the fight use fireballs to make it easier.
The moment when you know you have done the right choice when he says that you should not start with the thief and you started with the thief it’s your First time dark souls and you win first try vs Iudex Grundyr
Luck is an insane stat because it makes you proc more status per hit on enemies. It also increases the damage of the status effect from what I understand.
Just keep your distance and wait for his jumping attack. In the second phase, wait for his slam and arm swing combo, this gives you the opportunity to hit him at least once.
I had trouble with him and was keeping my distance. then I stayed up close with both versions of the boss and I killed him without hardly getting touched. just roll and then attack. watch your stamina. also if you can save your firebombs for when he transforms that might help.
Been using knight, just got past abbyss watchers and I'm still using my starting weapon, shield and half the starting armour. Knights are kinda privileged lol
No matter which starting class you choose, you will become a Knight, no helping it. You'll lose the sorcery staff and move over to a straight sword (on the 1st walkthrough at the very least)
+ManTosASTo I hear the thief is tricky though, I spent an hour on herald trying to kill him then switched to Knight and killed him 1st try, Pyro was pretty good vs him too.
Yeah, the first form was okay as a thief, but the moment the other thing appear... crap. Ended using arrows as a desperate attempt. Then it took me two tries with a knight :P
Ive always been a spear and polearm fan so i automatically chose Herald (outfit looks sick too). Fighting bosses was alright and surviving after waves of mobs was good as well because of Heal Aid. The only thing i wasnt prepared for was Kite Shield Hollows make my spear bounce off, regular Spear has poor range, the game punishes poking behind a shield because of severe stamina depletion as well as big chip damage. You can however block, let the shield get hit AND THEN shield poke. This lets you cancel a little bit of animation frames without getting the chunk of shave damage. SunlightBlade is correct about this class being strong and not overpowered. If you're new then i also recommend this class. Not only does it make you survive as a noob but also teach you new game mechanics like i've mentioned above.
I thought the deprived was always the most efficient starting class for min/maxing because it starts at level 1 so you have complete control over where your stats go so no stats are wasted. I guess not?
+Тиберий Цезарь Август considering how every stat starts at 10 and your starting level is 1, it really is the most effective option. That always bothered me about Dark Souls 1 and 3, deprived is arguably the best starting class. In Dark Souls 2 every stat starts at 6, which make the class a challenge (like it should be).
The bandit's knife isn't only good for criticals. It offers a devastating flurry of blows plus bleed damage. Also, quickstepping is just as easy as rolling
I usually always pick the knight class, because it is so cool and because of a greater physical strength. My focus on each game because of this, is focusing on physical strength and then allowing for upgrading my attunement and faith as a secondary assistance variable.
+Strappleberry Nifkin ikr. I was thinking like "yay, neat, dual wield, massiv damage double swings and a realy neat weapon art" and then it couldn't even kill the starting hollows with a full combo while two R1s did. Such a shame.
JinFreeks Which is even worse because they feel so good to use and scale so well. They need to patch them; making each of the two handed swings hit for 75% of a standard hit would totally fix them.
+Chocomunchie He's referring to the fact that poise is literally turned off for players. It does NOTHING. A data miner found an "off" switch for poise in the code and turned it on, resulting in normal (for Souls) poise behavior. With it "off", as it is by default, poise is completely disabled. Some monsters have it, but not players.
WUZLE Yeah, I already know all that, I was just making sure that's what the OP was joking about, but yeah, it's frustrating. I hope FromSoftware re-enables it in a future patch. It's unbalanced otherwise. A player wearing full Havel's with the Wolf Ring should not be staggered by broken swords, darts or petty enemies, and enemies shouldn't have poise if we don't as well. I mean, come on, without poise, it encourages everyone to use faster weapons, making slower weapons obsolete in PvP. It creates the mentality that "faster weapons always win".
Chocomunchie The lack of poise warps the game. Creatures like the dancer swordsmen in Irythrill shouldn't be able to be stunlocked to death with an estoc the way they are now. And I like estocs. I like long stabby weapons, they just shouldn't be quite so good.
Just played my 1st souls game this year - Bloodborne. Now I can't wait to get my hands on DS3 and maybe demon souls. But BB made me fall in love with souls games
+robert rice i can confirm this... so sad :( i played a min ago and you might thing the soul greatsword is op but ive tryd alot and the heavy soul arrow does more damage so if you are going for one guy use heavy soul arrow, than for multiple use greatsword but ittl take about 5000 souls to get, and thats a good amount for the beginning game
the deprived starting class is underrated imo since it not only swings fast (with the club) but also gets easy staggers on enemys which would aid a newer player to setup some parries while leveling up the fastest early on on top of meeting requirements for basically any npc quest line (off top of my head)
Time to spend 3 hours editing my face before it gets turned into beef jerky and covered by a helmet
yup
+Iron Pineapple Love you Pineapple (Not in a romantic way)
actually, you don't Hollow in DS3, so no beef jerky face

That's why we call it fashion souls.
you forgot me, pick the stupidest looking character possible: deprived with no muscles, green skin, a fucked up face and a purple bowl cut.
pathetic 😂👌
Me in ds1... I regretted it

Should I really? I suck ass as the knight as it is.

Finally, someone gets it.

I don't see any backstory or roleplay in your channel. Weird

Me too. I didn't know different classes had different leveling. Almost quited the game, but glad i didn't.

I don't even play the game yet I'm still watching
I'm totally new to Dark Souls, so was a bit daunted by all the different classes at first. Great video, detailing all the different classes, glad I chose the Knight now!
Best class for parry gods/noobs destroying Gundyr: Assasin. Best class for overall usefulness/least limitations early on: Knight. Best class for respec: Deprived becuase you have the least restrictions level wise
My favorite class? Warrior.
So glad to see a nice Video from you again :) Thanks and keep going the good work as far as your freetime allows it :P

This was 6 years ago so I'm betting you kick ass for breakfast now
@@aeoncalcos7830 yeah I eat a bowl of nails for breakfast without any milk every morning.
It will be my first too.
piromancer was the same for me

Started as mercenary and have no regrets.
aww man, mercenary is awesome, started with knight but switched to mercenary after seeing the starter weapon. Love it
Mercenary have one of the best swords in game its the best starter
Same, Murakumo+10 was all i needed
@@justinmoraal4764 good stats too
Wow, here I though Deprieved will be the go to class since is already starts at level 1 and all it's stats are 10.
Warrior it is then, thanks mate.
Poise is useful as hyperarmor and that's it. So only use poise for slow str builds
+Wolfbane Hyperarmor frames activate so late into a weapons attack animation that it makes no difference 95% of the time. Hollowslayer is so popular because it's one of the few weapons that has early Hyperarmor frames.
I love how well made this is! Love all the little edits you made when highlighting things in the menu! :D
This is great to watch before it unlocks later today.

I went with deprived and beat Gundyr on my first go when I was expecting to get walloped a dozen times. Turns you have a lot of mobility when you're in your undies.

+GrowWings Thank you, kind sir.I want to order a cup with extra salt and a pc-mustard race special!
+AlexP Hey don't be sad! You can still play DOOM 2, what else do you need?
+AlexP I feel your pain. I, too, thought that my CPU was too small. But then I overclocked it. Now it works and I feel like a genius. But there is a nice added sense of dread when, as well as dying in the game, you always have to fear that your pc could catch fire aaaaaany time now.
Something else to note about the thief-he starts with the iron round shield, the best small shield in the game-100 percent physical damage absorption, stability on par with a lot of medium shields, and short parry start-up frames.
"Whatever you do, just don't pick the thief"
oh boi here i go creating a new character again
The class doesent even matter.
And here I was able to comfortably beat Iudex Gundyr first try with the Thief and without using any Firebombs....when I'm very much accustomed to *Strength* builds rather than Dex.
Did you forget that deprived has the higest stats while still being level 1 also the part of being the weakest starting class makes it the strongest instead since the added risk increases your concentration and you start being untouchable and parrying everything
has the same stats as every other class (99 points distributed amongst attributes)
@@Fopalope i meant it on the sense that all the other classes have stats that you may not want over 10 and others that you want over 10
Nice vid!
I actually wanted to go off the vid again as I was more looking for a comparison of all character classes rather than only the top three but then I realized you actually did that! 😅
I appreciate the effort!
i will say, pyromancer for life here, 1 point in dex, and im able to wield an astora straight sword, put it raw, and just upgrade it normally, and you will have to put alot of points in str to surpass an equally upgraded weapon for at least the first third of the game.
you start with the fireball, meaning you can just throw a (small) area grenade that will deal alot of damage to alot of enemies.
you get the axe, a good weapon to start with, and it had the warcry skill.
you can grab and use a silver kite shield without any stat investment, so you can have a great shield, expecially if you go for sorceries, since you will be able to powerup your staff.
pyromancer's only ault is its starting armor, and endurance, but put a few points in there, enough to wear a good armor, and you are pretty much set to go whatever way you want.
My starting class will actually be chosen in a very unique way. I will be picking the option that will get me into the coolest top 10 videos on this channel, and im thinking thats the thief... XP

Well guys... if anyone is watching this in 2021 I’m about to play my first Dark Souls game so wish me luck :(
Deprived is the best one for the long run, you get the most customization with your class since you start at Soul Level 1
Knight is the most consistent and helps out starters
Cleric assists people who want to play defensively with its extra heal and shield stability
Warrior is similar to knight but the axe’s moveset takes a tiny bit more skill to know the timing
Herald is the best class for 1 on 1’s since the spear can be used behind the shield
Thief is good if you can fish out some backstabs, parries are a bit too risky for its overall setup, the bow also helps to do some chip damage
Sorcerer is the best ranged, I’d say avoid this class unless you want a sorcery only build and keep in mind, you will have to spam the 2 spells you have for the most part of the early game up until the 3rd area of the game where you meet Orbeck(sorcery merchant)
Pyromancer is decent overall, it doesn’t specialize too much in anything but the pyromancy helps out to take out a few enemies or to damage bosses from a distance
Spears take no brain cells to parry. Herald is not good for 1v1.
@@sambmackenzie Dude, this is for beginners not for PvP.... I dont think a hollow or a lothric knight is gonna parry you.
thanks for the explanation mate, very helpful for someone like me who is just now starting
deprived being a better class in the long run is a myth, starts with the same amount of stats(every class starts with 99 points spread across their attributes) and you aren't minmaxed, wasted stats across the board. jack of all trades isn't the "best one" for a souls game
@@Fopalope damn you must be fun at parties
There is no best... just... PRAISE THE SUN!
This is one of the most helpful yet non-technical guides I've seen so far on the game. This new-ish player thanks you 😇
I've been playing Assassin
Since I'm not a filthy casual, only deprived for me. Don't even need to watch this video
great vid though
+Orthane Kappa
I use deprived too
+Orthane Deprived is literally Wasted stats, the starting class
+Orthane Wrong. It seems this time, choosing specific class is better for optimization.
+thekillers1stfan I thought deprived would be good because it's lvl 1 and has 11 in everything.
I'll be getting it soon! I can't wait to dive in! Thanks for the video!
In DS2 if you use the Soul Vessel you can only reset the points you put in your character. So, in this case, the assassin with 14 luck points would stay with 14 points. Unless the Soul Vessel works differently in DS3, choosing the assassin for the luck points to later on reset them wouldn't work.
So his point about choosing the assassin because it has 14 luck points and then take them out is wrong, right?
+Ricardo Almeida exactly what i thought while watching it, there was no way to go below starting stat in a certain attribute with respec in ds2.
+Hypertension777 yes. and it makes sense to be like that. it's kind of a noob fail tbh :/
+Ricardo Almeida Otherwise imagine the deprived with 10 in all stats at level 1 :D if they allowed you to go lower it'd be OP as hell.
Beatamox OMG This is exactly the same as me :0 Except I started with the knight ^^ PRAISE THE SUN !
Damn I just find out about your vid after starting NG+ and wound up looking every other of your vids lol. Currently at level ~180

Xi I’m about to get it on pc
@@xi9314 i just got it and can’t beat ludex gundyr as knight
@@xi9314 thank you
@@gavinimel4530 The lock on system is deceptive.
Tip: Mark enemies before using ranged/magic so it takes less/no time to shoot/cast
I'm new to dark souls. You've been a big help
Thanks for including the link too the class calculator :)
And I can't even get passed the first boss
Just keep your distance and wait for his jumping attack. In the second phase, wait for his slam and arm swing combo, this gives you the opportunity to hit him at least once.
I had trouble with him and was keeping my distance. then I stayed up close with both versions of the boss and I killed him without hardly getting touched. just roll and then attack. watch your stamina. also if you can save your firebombs for when he transforms that might help.

Been using knight, just got past abbyss watchers and I'm still using my starting weapon, shield and half the starting armour. Knights are kinda privileged lol
Really good video man, awesome
No matter which starting class you choose, you will become a Knight, no helping it. You'll lose the sorcery staff and move over to a straight sword (on the 1st walkthrough at the very least)
My first playthrough was a Guts cosplay so it was pretty easy to stick with stuff. Abyss watchers and the dancer were a bitch without a shield
Ive never become a knight in DS3, I end up either sorcerer, pyromancer or a katana wielding maniac 🤣
My body is so ready for this game...
+Mouldy_Old_People Ive already written the contract to sell my soul
I’ve just brought this after playing Elden ring I can’t wait to play this this had been really helpful so thankyou 😊😊😊
Great to hear, hope you enjoy it! :)
in my first character was an Herald and when i arrive with Rosaria I turn into a Mage, now when im gonna play dark souls 3 in pc I wanna make a cleric
Thief ;_;
It took me an hour to win against that first boss (yeah, I suck, I know)
+ManTosASTo I hear the thief is tricky though, I spent an hour on herald trying to kill him then switched to Knight and killed him 1st try, Pyro was pretty good vs him too.
Yeah, the first form was okay as a thief, but the moment the other thing appear... crap. Ended using arrows as a desperate attempt.
Then it took me two tries with a knight :P
u gotta git gud
Sjng Sjng i did it first try with thief i spammed the light attack button so fast that the boss went down like butter in sun
Killed first boss on 2nd attempt with thief
I'll be starting my first playthrough as a Herald.
The only reason is because I like the armor set a lot. :P
Same, and the heal will be useful
+Jakuzure Nonon same here and i want to use a strength/miracles build
Best looking armour by far at start ^^
Just use him for the spear. Spam normal attacks and shield yourself. Ez.
I thought the deprived was always the most efficient starting class for min/maxing because it starts at level 1 so you have complete control over where your stats go so no stats are wasted. I guess not?
+moyga derprived is a great class for players who are use to the game....not so much for beginners
No stats are wasted? What if your like me u use and axe, shield and crossbow xD full strength and hp build loads of stats are wasted
Everything starts at 10. That means points wasted. Say you dont level dex. At all, and choose a class that has 5 dex starting. 5 saved points.
In Dark Souls 1 deprived was lv 6
The bandit's knife isn't only good for criticals. It offers a devastating flurry of blows plus bleed damage. Also, quickstepping is just as easy as rolling

I usually always pick the knight class, because it is so cool and because of a greater physical strength. My focus on each game because of this, is focusing on physical strength and then allowing for upgrading my attunement and faith as a secondary assistance variable.
cleric for me. Sun Bros! :)
fuck yah
dude just amazing! Excelent analysis
I was really disappointed by the dual scimitars. They're slower and do less damage dual-wielded than they do 1-handed.
@@dan240393 Well, now they patched them and they are like the best weapon in the game (in PvE)
lol, knight has the most poise.
If only.
Are you referring to the uselessness of poise in this game?
Don't get hit lol fashion souls!!!
Switching to knight from cleric was the best decision I ever made god bless u

Vote Herald for early Fashion Souls.
I am going full Battle Mage.
don't go spell casting in PvP cause spells suck ass right now
:(
+robert rice i can confirm this... so sad :( i played a min ago and you might thing the soul greatsword is op but ive tryd alot and the heavy soul arrow does more damage so if you are going for one guy use heavy soul arrow, than for multiple use greatsword but ittl take about 5000 souls to get, and thats a good amount for the beginning game
best destiny videos thanks
You're a smart guy. Battle Mages are fun in PvE.
the deprived starting class is underrated imo since it not only swings fast (with the club) but also gets easy staggers on enemys which would aid a newer player to setup some parries while leveling up the fastest early on on top of meeting requirements for basically any npc quest line (off top of my head)
Thief only class that has cool jump...well I know who I'm being
