I just started doing this and there are sum spots where there’s no leds so a few more leds in between would make it look better and I did mines with staples and it works fine just a heads up for anyone that wants to try it
i think you should put more cotton on the leds then use staples to secure the clouds to your ceiling its a better alternative to glue
Yeah I could of put more cotton and I could gotten more leds too, I’m not sure if staples would work, I used glue and the other tutorials used glue or spray stuff so far, thanks so much for watching ❤️ 🔥 💯
Yo! turned out great! I agree, the glue gun is a much better method. I used the adhesive spray and would only recommend if you want to go fast. But you do have to use a lot of sprays.

Did the hot glue hold the clouds up nicely over time? I tried the spray adhesive and parts just kept falling after a day.

For a room size like this, get two 10 pound poly-fil, hot glue gun and 7 packs of 24 hot glue sticks, 20 poster boards and a staple gun and staples or you can get a 200 pack of tacs

How do u use the hot glue stuff cos u said u put it on the poster boards first but it looks like u used it on the clouds as u put the clouds down
Yeah I did both ways, but the better way is to put it on the poster boards and than stick the cloud to the poster board, and how you use hot glue is..... first get a hot glue gun and the hot glue sticks, plug in the glue gun and put the sticks in the back and than when you can’t press anymore, put another glue stick in the back

doesn't it fall from the ceiling? because I have a polyester that is not completely in its entirety. How do I glue it?
It doesn’t fall from the ceiling, and put hot glue on the ceiling and than stick the cloud to ceiling, make sure you stick it up fast tho

How did you get it to light up without being constantly lit in all areas? If that makes sense? My govee lights are all constantly lit up and they do vary but always all at once and I'm looking for that partial lightening effect like in the first part of your video...
Go to your WiFi device, go to color and it will say segmented light, and then you can select the ones you want. To get the lighting effect go to the scene button right by the color button. Then you can pick many different modes
Does the glue create a permanent smell in the room and also does dust form and build up on the clouds overtime?
No smell and there is no dust, my are still the same so it’s going good
For the audio like when you speak it moves do you need a Alexa for that.

@@DustinKlang It does look pretty fly. I considered it for a second to cover up the last 10 or so feet of my LEDs. But it gets hot as heck in my room, I can see my ceiling fan blowing them all over the place.
Dang yeah if you want them you can’t have a ceiling fan, you would have to not turn it on or uninstall it

Question though. If the LEDs needed replacing, do you have a simple solution or do you have to remove all the clouds?
I never had to do this but what I suggest, get good enough led’s, the brand Govee is really good. Also just think you probably could replace them, it would just be really really time consuming

how did you put the LEDs in different directions did you have to cut and put a connector. When I make a turn with the leds i twisted I purchased the same ones as you so did you cut to make them go slanted
You juss bend them, that’s all I did, I didn’t even cut them
And when you bend it don’t try to force the corner where it bends, juss let the corner not stick

Supplies in total will cost somewhere around 150-80 bucks
You can find a 10 pound box of polyfil at Walmart for $30 USD
LED can be found on amazon there are expensive ones and cheap one buy within your budget just make sure the led density and brightness are what you want
The poster boards are 38 Cents at Walmart
Also No This Should Not Cause a fire in your house the only issuse with this type of LED Setup is that the LED don't get great airflow so they will burn out quicker then Normal

I want to make this myself but what are those poster boards and what do they do?
It’s better to keep them up because if you ever decided to take down the clouds, the clouds would be stuck to the ceiling and you would have to pick it off so that’s why you put them on the poster boards

I would suggest use a acrylic sheet on top of the LED and put the cloud on top of it.It would look better

@@DustinKlang no it doesn’t. Acrylic is expensive. It would have cost hundreds of dollars to get enough to have covered this.
For the big light in the middle did u out anything on it since lights are very hot ? Because I have special lights that are squares Can I not do it if I have then
You can still do it because the Govee lights I got stay cool and you can just put the clouds around them

I like the username 👍🏻 polyfil is what the clouds are and superglue is what strongly holds the clouds to the the poster boards and the poster boards get tacked into the ceiling

Better to use foam board or the transparent ridged board than paper. Also way smarter to buy queen sized $3 pillows from Walmart than polyfil. The pillows are stuffed with polyfil and the same size bag of polyfil you get in a $3 pillow costs $26.

Poster board on ceiling, leds on poster boards, poly-fil over leds and poster boards
What kind of Cotton do you use ? And do Groove Lights produce to much heat for Fire Hazard ?
They will not start a fire, and they don’t get hot. The cotton is poly-fil and you can get that at Walmart, target, or a craft store

Why the poster board tho....doest it serve a purpose besides not tearing your ceiling up
The only purpose it has is the poster boards don’t rip your ceiling and if u don’t have any than hot glue on the ceiling will rip the paint off

Can I use 32 feet of led strip in a room similar in size to yours? Will it still look good?
It will not look as good as a 64 feet, remember this… it will save you so MUCH in the future if you pay the extra cash for the 64 foot, it may take some money away from you BUT it will save you so much, it will look a LOT better with the 64 foot, thank you for your comment! ❤️ 32 Foot= okay 64 Foot= Good

Nah you’re fine, the lighting mode is super fast it’s basically could give someone a seizure, the mode is just lighting
You set it from the app called govvee
did you use poster board paper or poster board which ever one what size
We used Pen+Gear Light Weight White Poster Board, 22" x 28", you can find this at Walmart
