  • Here, I replaced my tensioner pulley and idler pulley, because one of them was making noise. I would suggest if you are replacing your water pump, that you go ahead and purchase these two pullies, as you have to remove them to get to the water pump anyway. Don't forget to get a picture of the routing of the serpentine belt before you remove it - or find a diagram of it. This is very important!
    Here are the links to the two pulleys I replaced. I used the AC Delco for both. but you may choose any one you want. (I know I said the parts were made in China in the video, but you can plainly see they're made in Canada. I misread it.)

    This was very helpful. Thank you and you are on point about making the alternator the last pully to work with.

      No problem. I hope it save you money, too. A repair like this can be expensive at a shop. I'd replace the belt, too if you haven't already. Keep the old one for emergencies. Thanks for watching!

    2006 Magnum R/T 5.7 hemi - so many parts made of plastic - thanks for showing me.

      No problem! And you're right. Way too many plastic parts. They only get more brittle as they age, too.

    My steering pump pulley broke from the side wonder why this happened 😥

    • @DIYDanChannel
      @DIYDanChannel  3 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure why that happened, either, unless it was already weakened by something else. That shouldn't have happened. I'm sorry to hear you had that complication.

    Sadly I dont know how to do this.. I thought it was my belt but I took it to someone and he told me that it sounds like it's my belt tensioner on my 06 charger 5.7L. I had sprayed some of that conditioner belt from auto zone and it continued to squeak. Hopefully I dont get charged alot to get it fixed.. seems like all I do is put money into my car it's so stressful and its draining me.

      I hope it didn't cost you a lot of money to get fixed. Depending on how many miles you have on your car, it's probably good to replace the belt, too. Keep the old one as a spare. Once the belt is off, the tensioner pulley is not too difficult to remove and replace. I hope it worked out for you.

      @@DIYDanChannel it was just the belt. I spent 35$ with my mechanic.

    So replacing it all will it stop the loud ticking

    • @DIYDanChannel
      @DIYDanChannel  10 місяців тому

      If the clicking is being caused by one of those components, yes. If you are referring to the "Hemi click" then no, it won't stop that. That is a different issue.
