    I may be biased as I own a v2, but I did a lot of research before buying, for me outright performance wasn't a buying parameter for me, to be perfectly honest I test rode the mt10 and didn't gel with it, rode tuono v4 that was unbelievably quick but didn't like the aggressive riding position tried Suzuki gsx1000s but felt cheap.Went to Ducati saw the v2 test rode it and fell in love with it. done over a thousand miles on it now and loving every minute of it. YES it's stupidly expensive but I wake up every day and go into the garage and look at it and I have absolutely no regrets buying it.
    unless u were on a race track the performance differences between them all is very small indeed, I like when I park up people look at the bike for its beauty, I'm 100% no one would give an mt10 a second look.

      I enjoy them both... for me the MT-10 was more comfy and faster and on paper, the better buy... But I love the look of the Ducati more...

      I would love to have the v2 but I've got the streetfighter 848 2014 and it's so good I don't think I can justify paying twice the price for the v2 . My bike is more than enough for me now I'm getting on a bit. Good luck to you and be safe 👍

    My 2021 mt10 is a true work of art but unfortunately in July I was hit head on by a truck and the mt didn’t make it. The Ducati dealer I have near me highly recommended this street fighter. Is it really truly worth the extra 3k?

      The MT-10 is mechanically a work of art, but aesthetically its a bit of a train wreck... lol
      The Ducati is worth the extra money if you really WANT to own a Ducati. it is art, in pretty much every way, and it has the wow and cool factor. Just know going in, that it costs a bit more to maintain. The 15k mile valve check, is the better part of $2k. If you want an exhaust and tune and want to keep the 2 year warranty intact, be prepared to spend a few thousand to do it right...
      Honestly, unless you really just WANT the Ducati... If you have the extra money spend, ge the new MT-10 SP... Same price as the Duc, more power, electronic Ohlins and stuff, cheaper to maintain, cheaper to do exhaust and tuning, etc...

      @ that makes a lot of sense thanks, I loved everything about my 21 MT10 and I mean everything so I may just end up back on a newer one but hoping the come out with a gen 3 and change the front end as I liked the gen 1 front end a billion times more

      @@Dylan-f3e Haven't heard any rumblings of a new generation MT10... Maybe for 2026, as the MT-09 just go the refresh this year.
      I really love Ducati, but I just got to a point where it was enough... Exhaust and tuning expensive AF. I wanted to change the sprockets, but if you do that you cause the traction control and auto blip to go wonky, and the only way to fix that is with an aftermarket ECU flash that voids the warranty... Having to pay the dealer to do the annual service to turn off the service wrench. $2000 for the 15k valve service... I just decided it wasn't worth it any more.
      On my new ZX10R I have done the ECU flash, tail tidy, new gold chain(2 links longer), +1 rear sprocket, frame sliders, swingarm spools/sliders and even if I toss in the Helibars, I am literally all in for just under $1000 and its complete and doesn't need anything else. Can't even buy a slipon for the Duc for that... haha
      My vote if you have the budget for the SF, is to get the MT-10 SP... has some tasty upgrades and a simple decat link pipe and ECU flash is an easy 150hp at the wheel and frankly, that CP4 motor sounds better than the V2 Ducati...

    Once the suspension is dialed and unlocked you'll probably love it on the tighter Twisties.

    I love my V2, but also have an R1. Question: I Brent tune my V2 and I already changed the Oil myself since it has over 600 miles. Will the dealer unlock more power?

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  8 місяців тому +1

      No, there isn't actually an unlocking of power, so much as changing the dash and some software updates... The info I got from the sales guy about not getting full power till 600 miles was inaccurate. BrenTune should have already given you a bump in power...

    I hear the V2 gets hotter than the V4? How is the heat compared to that of the speed twin you used to have? Also congrats on big Red 🙏

      Oh, you feel the heat. I will just tolerate it in the summer, but probably LOVE it in the winter. haha

      @@SquireSCA I wouldn't say its hot only when the fan kicks in and then its tolerable.

    Why not just get a v4s

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  4 місяці тому

      Because that bike is $30k out the door, and it offers much more power than is really usable on the street. 200hp+ on a naked bike with no wind protection, to me seems like such a waste... To me it feels like owning a new Ford F150 Raptor, and you live in in the middle of Manhattan...
