Yes and the screened floor so one can see the lay of the front wheels. Maybe not so good over here on the wet coast but seems to be a great idea in MOAB
Rory, how can you laugh so hardily when I know you just want to knock them upside the head? You’re a champ. Great channel, content and cast of characters.
Those camera shots from inside the buggy really demonstrate the extreme angles and terrain obstacles that you handle as a pro. I always enjoy seeing you in action on these recoveries. Well done.
That big a$$ rock on the first recovery... I would've been like "how do I get over this rock?" Rory just instinctively throws a line around the rock and drags is out of the way. That is experience.
Years ago I was involved in Rally Cars. Got a call one evening from a mate asking me to give a quick hand to get a bogged car out of the forest. Got home in time in time for breakfast.
Things never look too bad in the dark. Nice recoveries. All in a day's work. Never dull watching you work in your office. Beautiful country. Thanks for sharing.
This is why Rory is who he is. He knows this place like the back of his hand, so can get to and out of almost anywhere if he's got a rope /winch, and somewhere to attach it to. You 've got to love the mans skill!!!! thanks Rory from UK.
Rory is so precise and technical in these recoveries. It's like he is a "Recovery Surgeon". Just a nip here and a tuck there, a slow tug and BOOM, it's out and they're on their way.
Cool to see ya doin it alone! It can be more fun that way sometimes. I framed homes alone, takes a little more thought and planning but worth it when the jobs done!
Thank You for bringing us along for your recoveries. I especially enjoyed the camera view from over your shoulder in the cab. Good perspective of the trail ride.
Rory he is in another level , i really enjoy all his videos solo or with his crew , the guy look at the situation and he already knows what to do , thats been smart and experience
If you’ve ever been around heavy equipment and seen operators that can run a excavator or a bulldozer or back hoes etc, full tilt and do it flawlessly is like watching rory run his rigs, he know them all so well and can make them do anything, a true operator. Hats off to you sir
Love the fixed camera angles in the buggy! Most folks can't find the right spot, but your fixed locations clearly show the trail difficulty and your incredible driving skills - bravo, Rory! And, thanks for helping these folks out of a real pickle when they tried to hide just how badly they'd messed up....
Impressive pulls on both cases. Moving rock(s) , meticulous movement of the UTV & then finally getting it loose. The Bronco, you with the gear, skill and technique, getting them out also. Community is lucky having you around & available.
At least you had competent help and bystanders that don't make things worse while "helping". That's always nice. Everybody gets stuck sometimes. Part of the fun.
Watching experienced folks with the correct vehicles attack offroad obstacles inspires many to folliw suit! Only problem is folks usually under estimate the experience and talent PLUS the correct vehicle it takes to really succeed!! It is like folks going and buying a horse, or dog or an rv, thinking it is going to be so wonderful!! Then reality......keeping a cool head and great friendly professional demeaner is truly an art!! Good job, Rory and crew!!
Found Matt's channel a month ago by accident. Found your's by his references to you. When he said if he had to have one person to pick a line to save his life, it would be Rory. So, I looked your channel up. Jeez, I thought he had a few tough ones and he does. But your's are on another level. How you get that leaf sprung Chevy in and out of some of those places is awesome.
Rory that large rock has been there unmoved for millions of years and then you came in and said that couch doesn't look gud over there. All of your vehicles are always in beast mode. But the crew, the geniuses behind those vehicles get all the praises. Beast Mode👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🤜🏾🤛🏾
Rory will move mountains (at least large boulders) to get vehicles unstuck. Also, I was half expecting someone to show up after all the smoke signals from that SXS. Anyway, great video as always. Thank you 😊
I couldn't help but notice you went through that puddle at the end so carefully. I guess last time was fun enough changing the engine. Another great couple of rescues.
Holy smokes. I'm way more impressed at moving that rock by the sxs. That thing has to weigh as much as the buggy and it didn't even break a little. Kudos
When you talk calmly while kicking a$$ down the trail is amazing. Nothing is ever a simple job. Taking a look and starting the recovery alone shows that you are the true master.
Roll cage on that side by side is tough as nails! Looked like it did the very thing it was designed to do - protect driver and vehicle from being all squashed and everything. Rally car cam was awesome as hell. Really shows off how violent these trails are. Rory is rearranging rocks, getting things done and running crazy cool camera work all by himself. Very cool video because it shows that these recoveries are not just about "picking it up and carrying it out" when it comes to these recoveries.
Another great rescue of vehicles from awkward positions...keep em coming...helps the bottom line. Rory... you are "The Man"....thx for showing us the magical scenery of Moab.
So I never noticed the mesh steel floorboards in the buggy. Is that only for weight savings, or do you actually use that to peek through and get an idea of what's going on when you're rock crawling?
Rory thank you for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery and a amazing recovery on the first one ! Take care , stay safe and healthy my friend !
Pritchett, huh? Just last night I was looking at pictures on FB from the 1970s when 2 tube frame VW based buggies and a fiberglass buggy did Pritchett. All of them 2WD. No winches. No lockers. No limited slip diffs either. No 40" tires. Not even 33s. No V8 engines. Just basically stock VW components.
"Not that bad. I'll just move the mountain, flip it on its wheels and drive it on out." I really like the camera view out the windshield on the buggy and the truck this episode. Gives a more accurate impression of the terrain you're covering. Actually, the whole episode, for being alone, was outstanding camera work.
Rory: Are your lockers on? Bronco Driver: They're on. Morgan Freeman: They were not.
This one is hilarious 😂🤣
Bwahahaha!!!
This one may not have had a front locker. Rear, probably. But he was asked if BOTH lockers were locked.
They said, "we'll catch up." He took it personally.
No side by side is going to match the buggy .
Rory did not take it personally, but he did accept the challenge and won.
The in buggy cam is a sweet view!
It really show how insane the trail is , or is not a trail .
In the buggy view also lets us see what your thinking with shifting and such
Yes and the screened floor so one can see the lay of the front wheels. Maybe not so good over here on the wet coast but seems to be a great idea in MOAB
Rory, how can you laugh so hardily when I know you just want to knock them upside the head? You’re a champ. Great channel, content and cast of characters.
Because fixing other people's problems is his job and why would he be mad about getting paid for doing exactly that? 😏
@@Ganiscol lighten up bro, it was a joke. Rory is a jovial person and I thought he would see the humor and get a kick out of it. 🤭🤣😜
@@GaniscolI came to make the exact same comment.
He makes his living off others dumb mistakes 😂
Great job Rory, you always amaze me. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
heartily
Those camera shots from inside the buggy really demonstrate the extreme angles and terrain obstacles that you handle as a pro. I always enjoy seeing you in action on these recoveries. Well done.
Your patience with the yahoos is amazing. A man of grace, you are.
That job obviously takes a lot of patience. As a general rule, non-yahoos don't need to call.
Yahoos are golden! 💰
It's easier when you charge by the hour. "Sure, I can wait."
@@k53847 Or charge by the minute for waiting.
Honestly, these guys, both driver and winch operator, did a good job following directions. I didn't expect that.
That big a$$ rock on the first recovery... I would've been like "how do I get over this rock?" Rory just instinctively throws a line around the rock and drags is out of the way. That is experience.
That's the thought process of.. " I have 15000 lb winch and shackles, and I'm the captain now." Least how I would see it.
I would be worried about uncovering some irritated rattle snakes!
Rory is a part time landscape architech. 🤣
Years ago I was involved in Rally Cars. Got a call one evening from a mate asking me to give a quick hand to get a bogged car out of the forest. Got home in time in time for breakfast.
That reminds me of the famous line, "All you have to do is---------!"
Or, “We just need to…”
Left 3 into puddle…
Things never look too bad in the dark. Nice recoveries. All in a day's work. Never dull watching you work in your office. Beautiful country. Thanks for sharing.
Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life ! Dream job . So much so I love just to watch ✓
The client got himself between a Rock and a hard spot.
Rory the master at work. Love the in cab camera angle!
Made stuff look pretty steep
@@andybtec A lot of places are pretty steep sometimes even steeper than it looks !
This is why Rory is who he is. He knows this place like the back of his hand, so can get to and out of almost anywhere if he's got a rope /winch, and somewhere to attach it to. You 've got to love the mans skill!!!! thanks Rory from UK.

Im impressed with your surgical style of recovery of the tough ones!
Apparently you gotta pay more at the Ford Dealership to actually get lockers that work?
Those things aren't really made for serious offroad, more like driving on the dirt road to your ranch.
@@billj5645 Or just real muddy roads !
Maybe only had center locker? Not sure how they are configured. Or he thought putting it into 4wd was locking it
The contrast of the green of your ride against the backdrop of the desert is visually stunning!!👀👍🇺🇸😁
Thanks for another off-road recovery textbook lesson. 😊
"All-all It went pretty well"...because Rory knew what NOT to do. Great job. Real pro-work! No injury!
I'm just surprised to see Rory rescue a SXS with all 4 wheels still attached to it. 😂
That RZR on the first recovery really is a very special machine! I never have seen a side-by-side with a steam engine! 😁😁😁😜
😅😅😅😅
No matter how hard the recovery, your experience makes it look easy. Thanks for GREAT content
Props to the winch operator on the sxs recovery. Seemed like they were paying attention well and doing what was asked when needed.
You know it’s bad when they say “ it’s not sooo bad “😅
Retro Rory solo cam...but your camera skills are 100% improved !! Whoo hoo thanks for another awesome video !
It’s not that bad… just resting upside down in a boulder pile 😂😂😂
I feel Rory would have brought help and a second vehicle, if he had the true picture heading out.
@@jby6277 clearly he got it handled, but the right tool for the job never hurts!

With all the 'smoke signals' I was thinking Shawn might show up soon! 😁😅🤣
😂😂😂
It amazes me every time how relaxed Rory is sitting in huis truck while doing the most difficult trails and obstacles.
Thank you for filming and sharing, appreciate it.
Love the new camera behind the driver gives a much better perspective on how challenging these trails are. Great video 👍

you make it look easy, that's why folks don't think it's a serious situation they're in. 😂💀
Nicely done sir! Slow and steady, not to mention, lots of experience.
I will say it out loud "nobody recovers like Rory recovers"....Honestly I want to visit Moab just to drop by and say hello to Rory and the crew.
It's probably best you don't bother them when they're working....
Consider going to an event where they have tent and they're there to meet and greet.
I stopped by a couple of months ago to buy a shirt. Rory and Shawn were super cool to talk to.
I love watching your recoveries. Keepem coming
Your skills with that buggy recovery were amazing. You are the best recovery person, period. That Bronco's lockers were not working.
Great show, great view wet or dry.
Your years of Experience shows up well on your videos.

I watch all your utube shows, you guys are my favorite recovery unit. I finally got my t-shirt and sweat shirt today. Thanks for taking us with you.

Two definitions of over optimism.
1. "Go on ahead and we will catch up"
2. "It will only take a minute or two."
Your lockers are on, Rory asks??? I choked on my own spit on that one as one wheel is spinning!!!😂😂😂

Rory you are the best at what you do. I knew when they said it would be simple and easy that it wouldn't be that simple and easy.
Like the " if this isn't too bad, I hate to see what bad is"
