We use scopes here in Kansas and hunting the West in that identical situation. That big white stag offered a good shot that looked to be between 300-400 yards. Not sure your red dot is good for those distances.
A good 2-12x50 Hunting Scope i prefer these Kind of optic everywhere only in really thick Brush my Red Dot is on the Rifle would have been the better Choice 😜 they where calm a whole Time you had good Background to the woods so a shot with a scope would have been safe
@@chrisparkin431 i know 😀 but how do i say you doesnt have to shoot every Time to have good Hunting Memories and this large Number of Fellow will be in your Memories a long Time. I had many Situations where i havent shot on Game but allways stays with me as some of the best Memories in my 25 Years of Hunting (i have my Licence since i was 18)
Please, feel free to pay for a cameraman to follow me everywhere and artfully edit some slow motion digitally enhanced footage on all my reviews...sadly i have to do it myself but I accept your critique😂
@@briansolomon6153 it's not sarcasm, its simple fact, I don't have a permanent cameraman so have to film what where and however I can with what I can carry
I forgot i was watching a chris parkin video and thought i was watching a wildlife documentry on the migration of caribou! That is ALOT of deer.
You're right, that's a lot of deer!
odd optic choice for an open field stand, but how do you like that aimpoint?
Very cool looking deer
It was at an Aimpoint event
What a herd of deer. I would of been too busy just watching them cross the field to attempt a shot.

I think I would have got down and crawled/scrabbled into a shootable prone position to get a couple of shots, you had good undulating ground Chris.
Driven hunt, you don't leave your stand until the drive is over
@@chrisparkin431 I missed the driven part in the video in the into...
Man you need different optics. That would have been a blast!
