Only took them Alpha testing, then beta testing, for 2 years for them to make it "fun" Oh well, better late then never I guess. As we constantly have to tell ourselves.
Showing the physical movement of the units does a lot to improve gameplay, particularly if they can be blocked along the way. Great job on this discovery.
Wow, UI looks amazing. At least much better compared to current beta. PS. I also want to congratulate Paradox Interactive on its scientific discovery. They finally invented the slider. How many years have we been waiting for this?)))
That is a pretty neat feature. Like by no means is it groundbreaking to exclude, but it adds a lot of immersion that I think Victoria 3 is particularly missing.
It's great that they've added the slider for changing fleets and armies - it was too tedious in the beta to select unit by unit. The only downside to the slider is that you can no longer select units by culture (or was that broken?). It is also good to see the overall stats of the enemy and your own army on the map.
I put this game down after 30 hours a year ago. I'm really excited to come back. The economy system mixed with decent warfare eill be awesome, hopefully...
I really hope paradox continues to keep its eyes over the military aspect of the game, enhancing it, because it deserves (and make sense to) to be an important part of the game (and a fun part of the game to play). When the game was announced, the warfare aspect was really boring.
Did they fix the issue were if you have allies with hundreds of useless conscript units stealing all the battles from your 3x stat'd up general with a much much better and balanced army. I remember back at release the game constantly prioritized the large stack of useless AI ally conscripts over your tech'd up professional army it would make easy wars take like 20 minutes as the two AI armies of conscripts would constantly smash themselves against each other even though I had and army with an attack order that would wipe the floor with them in minutes. The other changes looked good though, I particularity love the ability to craft the army instead of them being enslaved to what ever general is from their region. If you care I made a video about the 5 things that caused me to drop the game. Most changes I mentioned were fixed by this update so good on you for that, 1 or 2 of them might be outdated complaints now, but what i mentioned above was one thing the video didnt mention and it was on my list.
if I were gonna need tutorial on this game its the Economy part. that part of the game is the most confusing one especially those convoy deficit when you have multiple subjects.
Looks like it might be time to dive back into Vicky 3. Good timing too, I was feeling like getting Cities Skylines 2 but it still appears to have issues.
1:49 What sense does it make to build more barracks? heck, Eu4 atleast had manpower as a means to show the population drafted for war. The problem is that in this showcase, Brittain have all the resources it needs (via colonies). Try playing as Sweden for instance and see how easy that is.
The naval system has been so barebones that i would hardly call it a naval system. Its so weird to me that they could not just use the system from hearts of iron.. That naval system is pretty perfect imo
This DLC is amazing! I can now spend more hours micromanaging my fleets while scrolling down the UI and individually clicking the boats I need. Great decision to release the strategic army decision making as part of a DLC! I never thought of this when I played the base game. For the past 13 months, obviously I've been playing, I enjoyed my armies advance into strategic insignificant directions.
You do know that all of this is included in the free update right? You can complain about the game not being ready at release and still needing feature updates but outright lying is dumb
@IIIIIFlY "it's sarcasm bro" yeah he knows, that's why he said it's a free patch... your comment isn't valid sarcasm given it's premise is false, it's not dlc.
Well still no unit management or a system like in HOI4 where i can place division with models on frontlines and draw plans one them should exist. I guess step into the right direction but from my pov not enough unfortunately.
When Vic3 was announced I was very worried about the warfare mechanics, but this should be a change for the better.
It is already far more enjoyable in tue beta
The current model has a ton of potential

full circle from vic2 :D
More improvements to the warfare and economy system are ALWAYS WELCOME! No matter how small the improvements
Paradox add newspapers like in Victoria 2, pls. 🙏

I never knew you could select units by culture, and how would that even impact the game in any way?
Hello Ludi!! It's great to see you here!!
Holy shit Ludi, how awesome!! More of this.
We can see those troops and animations on the terrain, this is a good update until now!
Great video as always! Thank you!
I love you Ludi!!!! Great video!!

I have been thrashing victoria 3 development schedule a lot the past year but this looks neat!
I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY
Looking good so far

I can recommend Generalist Gaming, though he might bee a bit too in-depth.
HELLO LUDI
Early lol, Love you Ludi!

Ludi belongs in jail after what he did to those goats
終於可以在地圖上看到兵隊了
Might finally reinstall.
one day the game won't be dogshit
20 more DLCs and it will be good
One step closer to complete player agency! woo hoo!
and how do i recruit more navy?
Am I the only one for who it takes years to upgrade the navy? My capital ships are still waiting to be transformed into Ironclads.
How can I defend myself from naval invasion when my country is just too huge? are the HQ generals going to automatically defend?
What is the frame of the Navy perimeter pentagon?
Okay no explanation of occupation thanks
so does anybody know the ratio for capital ships vs light ships? they say there is a ratio, just not what it is lol

Why don't they add victory 2 to Nintendo
Doesnt feel like a very good video? so what happens if you have generals with all different kind of orders in the same army/navy?

I dont like shackled Ludi. I like vulgar Ludi.
bloke went from hating vicky 3 to supporting it XD

If you want a system like that then go play HOI4
@@tvfreak78 don't you think that Kind of Feature would improve the game?
Paradox have backed down from their crappy no control system with every update
Give it another year or two and they'll capitulate entirely
So like when are updates gonna be free again?
This is a free Update.
@@quaza8515 I meant like actual content. not stuff that should have been in the release of the game
Still worst in genre warfare.
