Hey Paul. Almost all yachts quote for just the boat, its contents (toys equipment etc) and crew. Thats because some yacht guests are happy to park off in one anchorage and enjoy one bay for a few days at a time and others want to island hop and use plenty more fuel, drink specialty wines etc. I stand corrected, but the cost is likely base + expenses.

@@blewyd Still fair to point out it wasn't as engaging as most content. It wasn't even much of a quick tour, just a montage of generic yacht shots with some sales pitch commentary. Jared's made his success from making videos with broad appeal that also happen to make prospective guests more likely to choose the yacht being showcased. This comes across as purely trying to persuade prospective guests, and I'm not even sure how well they'd respond to such a direct pitch.
Thanks Will. Many people seem to think I have unlimited access to every yacht out there and as a result my content will always be the same. That is not the case. I was hired to come film a fleet of yachts and I had to convince the company to allow me to publish a version of the video to UA-cam. Every company wants different things from me and its how I make a living at the moment. I LOVE making BTS videos and getting involved with the crew but I need to remain flexible with what companies allow me to produce and as a result the style can and will vary. This is a 4 part series that is designed to be a taste of what these yachts can offer at different rates. Nothing more. If it was my choice I would have shown you these videos purely from my perspective, but that wasn't the job.
@@jaredwatney thanks for replying. I think anyone who's lived the other side of a rock knows now that making UA-cam a full time craft is a compromise between competing interests. Really happy to see you back on the water. I think it would be really cool for this channel to see you lean in to the "sales pitch" angle when that's what the owners want. Like instead of "today I'm taking time to show you the yacht", something like "today I'm taking time to show you the kind of promo roll I've been working on" or "how good this yacht looks in front of the lens" or something. Of course that assumes the owners give you room to go that direction.

I think it’s for the entire boat. According to the website, there’s accommodation for eight guests aboard, which would bring the price per week down to roughly 5800 Dollars. Still expensive, but if you hook up with a group of friends and pool your money is actually achievable. Now, the charter website states 47k plus expenses, and I have no idea what that means, but compared to some other boats, chartering this boat might just be within the realm of possibility.
It's charter price - whether it's one person or full (this boat can have 8 passengers). You also pay tip (generally 10% of charter price) and cover fuel and food as well. This is because your price will vary if you want to stay relatively "local" (hit a few neighboring islands) or jump to a different country each day. Of course, the food varies as well, but you've already told the crew what food you want weeks, if not months, in advance. Chartering a yacht for a week is generally referred to as 5 - 7 star service.
@@thomilsvlog4544 what plus expenses means everything other than the saved yacht and crew itself, everything else is charged, docking fees just to get on, every drop of fuel for yacht, tenders & toys, food if you eat 6-8 oz. steaks at home, but want 24oz. Tomahawk steaks you foot all food for guests and crew(they need to eat), alcohol you used to drinking $25 whiskey but want the $500 whiskey they'll serve anything you want to drink, but with 7 friends that adds up, BTW at the end of the charter is the crew tip, used to be 10% of the charter price, but has gone up to 15% I believe at $47k the tip rounded is $7,100+/- or more if they're great. This is just what I've been picking up over time, I've never chartered or worked on a yacht.

Just to put this in perspective of other high end luxury accommodations, this boat has 4 guest rooms so 47,500 / 4 rooms / seven days is $1696 a day, per room. Globally for high end hotels in premier cities, if you exclude ridiculous penthouses, a great room looks like it will cost you on average $400-800 US a night. One isn't better than the other per se, but it's interesting to look at comps.
