This style of marketing is more effective than old media charter advertising. This is the 3rd video about this yacht i've viewed this week and each approached it from a unique angle. Great work!
the world is comprised of chairs, sofas, tables, beds, floors, walls, TVs, stairs, refrigerators, grub and traveling. another nice place to be; things are, pretty much, the same wherever one can (and does) spend money. Anthony Bourdain, was likely tired of foods, drinks, interviewing, traveling and socializing (enough to commit suicide); Kate Spade probably jaded on handbags and praise (enough to bite the dust willingly as well): the key to life then is to not get bored and overwhelmed with the themes of life that seem too recurring to give a darn. the Kaiser says Shelby, Enes (Mikey or whoever goes with), and to myself as well: DON'T LET LIFE RUIN YOUR STAY ENOUGH TO, SAY: HANG YOURSELF, try to find a semblance of meaning beyond furniture, decor, chatter and zooming around in excessively fast vehicles. discovering that semblance is how to live long and happily. cool post though. kj
Enes and Shelby, what a golden combination. I've been following shelby for about 2 years now and enes since he only had 160 subs. I love the combo of his professionalism and your eye for lifestyle luxury. Wouldn't mind more content like this❤
Finally, someone discussing rates and options. I watched several videos of other UA-camrs and got zero information about the rules and regulations around the number of guests on a charter super yacht and approximate cost. Thank you for bringing this closer to reality. Croatia looks beautiful. We might do this trip some day.
I live in Seattle and purchased a 50 foot yacht and could only charter up to 6 guests. I then purchased a retired Alaskan Ferry boat and can charter up to 100 guests because it's US Coast Guard inspected and certified. Now we throw parties in Lake Union, Lake Washington and concerts in the Puget Sound. Pretty fun side venture!
Very well presented and great explanation to Maritime international charter yacht standards. We have seen an increase in interest from our charter clients at Mortlock Yachts for these vessels which can offer more accommodation at a more affordable price. Good job Shelby and great to see Enes.
Hmmmm... that pricing you shared seems inaccurate. When I go to the company website it says indeed, prices range from 80-100+ Euro per week... BUT then you have to ADD an additional 30% of that base rate to include food, drinks, +++. Plus tips and VAT, of course. So that base rate of 80K euro jumps to 104K before tip and taxes. Still, with the number of guests, and as long as you fill most/all beds, this ends up being really good value, all things considered.
I've been following you on UA-cam for a while and as a fellow creator I understand the UA-cam algorithm struggle. I'm glad to see this video is doing better than your last ones, they all deserve to be seen!
I loved this video so much! I always wanted my honeymoon to be somewhere in the tropics but after watching this im deeply considering doing this instead! Looks amazing!
Those prices (€80,000 - €100,000) are before discounts, you know 😉And while this yacht is truly special, there are other amazing (and cheaper) options in Croatia. Great review, by the way!
In my humble opinion, Shelby and Enes should do more UA-cam collaborations together. There is a good synergy at work. Shelby's great narrative voice would boost Enes' channel and vice versa. :-) Extremely interesting video. BTW: I was already watching both Shelby's and Enes' videos before this video showed up....
Once a vessel carries more than 12 passengers, even if it is being used as a private yacht, it is considered to be a passenger ship and has to comply with the SOLAS convention (Safety of Life at Sea) set out by the IMO (International Maritime Organization). These standards are very strict and expensive ot implement. So, yes, it might seem like agood deal to charter a boat in Croatia, but keep in mind why that rule exists. It is implemted for safety. So if 30 people have to get from their cabins to topside immediately, is there an adequate path to do so? There is a reason most fo the developed nations follow the 12 passenger limit.
Absolutely incredible video Shelby as always! Stunningly filmed, produced edited and executed! Well done keep it up. Love your channel and your vlog channel too! I am soooooo booking this in the future for my family to go and celebrate! We have a massive(!!!) family, do you know if this yacht was child-friendly? That master suite would be exceptional for my parents! What a way to spend a week and for such a bargain price!!!!!!!! Insane 🤩🤩🤩🤩 why would you want to leave Croatia it looks absolutely beautiful! The water slide and hot tub look totally insane, wow just wow all round! Thanks for sharing and showcasing such a cool travel option! Bbq food is right up my street too yum! The food holy shamoly exquisite; you are so lucky to call this your job!!! I know it’s a lot of your hard work but wow how cool! Do you watch below deck? See behind the scenes on a yacht!!! Thanks again Shelby!
I'm glad you enjoyed in my country!! It's somehow unreal to see you walking the streets I once walked. Loved this video and your work in general, have been a fan for lots of years now. Greetings from the northern coast of Croatia!
1) With this- if a family group was VERY well to do, and it was a milestone celebration- a wedding, a big anniversary, Granma's 90th birthday- then this could be an option. 2) I would worry about safety with the different yacht standards, and part of the fun of a seafaring yacht is visiting different ports- no Monaco, no NIce, none of Italy, etc.
A week to see Croatia is not enough. A week to visit Croatia, Italy, Monaco, France...you wouldn't have time to take a picture of each let alone to actually visit and enjoy...so what's the point? Unless you're doing a month or 2 trip.
I can live out a dream through another YTber’s video! One of the things if I could afford it, would be on my bucket list. Thanks for the delightful tour of that magnificent yacht and the stunning Dalmatian coast! 😊
Very nice Yacht! I spent a day on a yacht in Greece after befriending a group from Saudi Arabia at the beach. I didn't sleep there but what a once in a lifetime experience
This was really a helpful video. Thanks so much for the heads up about yatching in Croatia. I have been watching a lot of Mediterranean yatching videos and did not know the pricing was less in Croatia.
Haha, the name of the company, Goolets, is very tongue and cheek for Turkish speakers. Enes anglicized the name. A gulet is a traditional wooden sailboat that's now commonly used for tourist charters which are popular among Turks and foreigners in the summer. Thanks for breaking down the costs and telling us about the Croatian yacht affordability.
I believe that any yacht that carries more than 12 guests is classed as a passenger vessel and has to provide additional safety features, such as life boats and additional fire suppression.
Wow, the things you learn. This is the type of Shelby video I love. Highly informative. You are so "lucky". I know it's not luck, because you've worked hard to make it happen. The world is your oyster. A bit late for me but you certainly know how to work hard and enjoy the fruits of your labour. 🪃🪃🦘🦘👍🏻👍🏻
this is fantastic! Did you have to submit a food preference sheet like the guests do on Below Deck?! I'm obsessed with chartering yachts after watching that show but never thought it'd be accessible to me. Now I just need to find 29 other people willing to go in on one with me! :)
That pricing is awesome. I have friends with smaller motor yachts in Newport that we have amazing time on. But to be on a super yacht for a week at that price is a steal. I would maybe get less people to go like 20 friends. At $5000 each that's still a steal for this kind of adventure.
Yachts and shipping vessels are among the largest contributors to carbon dioxide emissions in the air. These emissions are often overlooked and ignored because they are released at sea. However, they are highly detrimental to marine life and people living near the sea.
Yes, it´s cheaper, than normal. But sharing the boat with maybe 29 other peoble will not be the same, as charter a normal super yacht. One jetski to share as an example. No doubt Croatia is a amazing place, and prices are in the lower end, compared to most of Europe. Nice video, short but informative :)
Fantastic video! Never knew about Croatia yacht rules and now the ability to cruise Croatia in a super yacht at a real affordable price. Something I would consider. Thanks Shelby for sharing. Well Done 😊
A second part to a Enes video. Are there future "collaborations" in the coming year? It was interesting to get a second opinion so soon after Enes's video of the same subject same time. Like the concept.
I never like commercial cruising. more into private sailing/Cat but this is next level - private boat, sea and toys love it ! will have to use 5% discount on next vaca! lol!
Wow crazy to think, how different lifes can be for different people. The most craxy thing for me, if the cost was split, with the youtube video, can be consider a tax dedution. So awesome
Thank you so much for this info. Beautiful video, loved every minute of it. ❤ I checked the website, and with the tip and the 30% APA and the 13% VAT, it’s closer to $6,600 (with the discount applied) to $7,000 per person (for next year’s high season) than the $3,333 (with 30 guests on board in the 14 cabins available on Ohana). Or am I missing something?
You didn't miss a thing! I am wondering about safety training and evacuation of so many guests in so many cabins. I'm suspect of this yacht not being legal anywhere but Croatia. My questions in no way are meant to put down Croatia, but why are their laws relaxed and what are their reasons for allowing so many cabins and guests?
I worked as yacht crew and thought it was weird they said fuel and food was included in the price. At least outside of Croatia, the charter price just includes access to the boat, amenities, and service. It doesn't include food, alcohol, dockage, taxes, tip, etc. APA is different for every charter because it's set by the guest. Even still, I was surprised that a boat this size would rent for about $100k per week, especially given its age.
@@ProductiveCo i remember watching yacht party on yt, and there's a lot of people on board. Are they allowed to do that as long as it's only for couple of hours?
Glad you and Sam could join us; loved the video!
It was a blast!! Loved your video too!

Loved this vlog, Shelby! I love Croatia, and love how it has worked around the law to make yachting more affordable.
