you are not driving aggressive enough to feel the PSM difference, nor should you on the street, especially on a one lane twisty road. If you want to experiment with PSM on or off, do it on a skid pad or autocross.

Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment! I definitely could feel the difference between the two PSM modes. PSM On and PSM Sport. I will prefer to use the PSM sport mode going forward. Cheers.

In thinking about this, the P Zeros that came with the car are in need of replacement soon. All the other guys are on PS4S tires - maybe that the grip difference is enough to allow the difference between the modes to be apparent.

Interesting take on the tire differences. I have tried all that you suggest and found the Continental to grip the best, until I did one had run on the TOD. After that, they were equal or worse than the other guys PS4S tires. The Porsche spec PS4S had phenomenal grip at first, close but not all the way to the Continentals when new, but I found they lasted much longer. They dealt with the TOD runs over and over without much degradation but there was some. Admittedly these tires were on different cars and different years but the bench marks were the same - my friend’s cars all on PS4S. So to the P0z’s - again a different car (GTS 4.0). They initially cornered just as well as the group if not better, but I found they did wear more quickly. At this point, close to needing replacement, I will likely give the Porsche spec Michelin’s a try again and see how they rate. That said, I have heard it’s tough to get tires these days. Wish me luck!

Love those Appalachia roads! I just found out about the GT4 RS Style carbon fiber intake from gold leaf performance. It is a fully reversible gt4 rs style intake compatible with our gts 4.0’s. I already did the soul performance opf delete, so I am not sure if I want one. I just thought I would share. Misha just posted a video with it and it sounds awesome. Probably a little much.

What a cool comparison. I never feel too hindered by PSM (and it's saved my ass a few good times on cold roads, but then again you have far more hairpins where it would just hinder you. I also suspect the effect is far more pronounced on cars equipped with an LSD, whereas a car with an open diff will probably just spin the inside wheel.

    • @trueview3127

It was really shutting me down on the hairpin exits. Since there is a PSM sport mode that still left PSM active, I thought I would try it out. Great chance to do so with the 981S in front running 7/10th. I would not turn it off that’s for sure. I have been saved myself - and also not saved - but it tried . . . But that’s a video for another time.

Thank you sir, much appreciated. For the 2024 season, we've added some angles, including the Insta Go-3 for POV that you see in this video. Previously I've used Insta Go-2 for the POV shots. For GoPro,
      1) In Car View (on a Super Clamp with Trackform 20mm extension arm off the cross brace) Hero 12 set to GP Log with a spot meter on the upper left part of the windshield, EV 0, 5500K, 30 fps, 5.7K, stability off
      2) Pedal Cam - Hero 9, 30 fps, auto, stability off, clamped to the steering column, 0EV, stability off
      3) Rear View In Car - Hero 10, 30 fps, stability off (mounted to the same super clamp but looking rearward, 4k, -1EV
      4) Bumper Cam - Hero 9 in a dive case with a power extension to battery pack in the frunk. 30 fps, 5500k, 4k stability off
      5) Rear Facing Exterior Cam - Hero 9 on a Ulanzi suction mount backed up by tethers into the vehicle through the hatch edge and fixed to the luggage tie downs. 5500k, -0.5EV, 30 fps, stability off
Note that all the other cars in the group also have the same in car setup on the Hero 12, which makes for good multi-cam edits.
I color grade and stabilize in post on Resolve. Good question and I'm looking forward to the 2024 season!
Also experimented with an Insta X4 on the exterior mount - and got some cool footage.

@@trueview3127 thanks for the info having just gone back to a manual this will help me figure out shift point on track days. FYI, you guys have inspired me to drive the new 718 GTS to Watkins Glen for a track day and a week through Canada (keep wife happy) then back through the Hudson Valley and to some of your routes in WVA on the way back to flat Florida
