I have a 110 gallon aquarium that is very tall which makes it hard to reach the aquascape... but I do love how it looks. I also like the shorter, but longer tanks, too. I'd love to get my hands on an eight foot tank that is about 20 inches tall, some day. I'd also like to (eventually) upgrade to 24 inch wide aquariums from the 18 inch I have now. BUT... those are HEAVY!!!!
Exactly. People use them everyday. And I'd probably be okay with using it on a level floor, I I have to shim the stand to make it level, so the 2x4 construction stands make me feel better about doing that.
Hi I been wanting to upgrade my fish to a bigger aquarium I was thinking a 75 gallon I was wondering what I need other then a bigger filter. They’re fresh water too
Filtration is a big factor in a successful tank setup up. Also, making sure you slowly add fish to the aquarium, one at a time, over the course of several weeks, to ensure the tank has cycled completely. 1. Tank 2. Filter 3. Sand or gravel 4. Heater 5. Proper cycle and maintenance That's what you need to start out a great tank!
It literally scrapes of in large sections using a razor blade. This is true for latex paint. Spray paint is a different story. I only use regular household latex paint.
Hey how are ya..the tank looks really great. The 75 gallon is going to be my next setup.I also like the stand and how the tank sits inside of the groove. What is the name of that stand?
No soap. :-) Well, I used a product called BarKeepers Friend and a razor to scrape the inside glass. What the video didn't show was me bringing the tank back up stairs and outside to use the BKF and razor... I didn't clean the tank the way I normally do the first time around... when I got it downstairs I noticed it was still dirty (not soap). I didn't record it, but I took the tank back up the stairs and outside to clean it the way I like to clean all my tanks when I first get them. Barkeepers friend, razor blade and plenty of clean water from the garden hose. Another thing the video doesn't show is that I took the tank back down and changed the stand too! Oh, and, I'm working on a video of the salt water setup, so be sure to check back in a week or so for that video :-)
I gave u like 👍 simply for being able to move a 75 gallon by yourself, great video.
Thank you. 😊
Thanks for this video. Just know that at age 68 you can still move a 75 gallon tank the same way. LOL.

I have a 60 gallon, my tank is taller than yours, I wish it wasn't so tall . I prefer shorter and wider tanks . Yours is really nice .

How do you remove the paint on the tank if you want to?

Holy crap dude how did you move that tank all by yourself how strong are you
The weight wasn't the issue, it's just being careful not to drop it or let it hit anything.
