In case anyone is on bedrock edition, you can't place the lanterns on trapdoors. Although its not as nice looking, you can use slabs as long as they are on the right block level

I know I'm 4 months late to this build, but I just wanted to say that it's very good! 6/10 because the blocks needed (from the beginning) aren't accurate. had to go back and forth in my survival world to get everything.
I know I'm late, though, I came across this and started to build it but the amount of how many blocks I needed (for a lot of the blocks) were wrong and I kept having to go back and forth. It was a great build just tedious building.

Yo how come u can place a lantern under the trapdoor I'm not able to. Please explain I play blaedroc 1.17
The trapdoors should be placed in a specific height to be able to hang lantern on them, make sure that you placed them just as I did the in video.
